Short review: For what seems like a small pub, they serve an amazing salmon dish and have overall great service. Definitely expect more options than frozen mozzarella sticks.

Long review:

The other dishes I have gotten here as a pescatarian have been good but not memorable. This, however, the salmon risotto, is one of the best things I’ve ever had and we have gotten it more than once and it has not missed. Excellent dish, well cooked, full of flavor.

Our server was also wonderful and attentive. It does seem like it can take a while for a server to come to the table at times, but our server provided such excellent service and apologized for the wait, so I don’t feel justified in taking off points.

In terms of the food selection, as others have mentioned, they don’t offer much (including dessert). They do, however, have a nice beer selection including a tasty stout (Monday stranger danger or something like that). But again, that salmon is so good, I don’t see how I could take off points.

The place is pretty small, making it feel a bit claustrophobic for my taste, but they do have outdoor seating. The parking lot is also an interesting gravel/ dirt area for multiple businesses. It might be a bit difficult (though not impossible) for those with accessibility concerns in terms of maneuvering through the parking lot or restaurant, particularly people who use wheelchairs.

Great local place on the Oakhurst square. They have some varied dishes and a great outside seating area. Overall the seating spaces are limited FYI. The outside patio is a great locale if you're looking for warm afternoon sun!

Update: The spinach dip was good, obviously because my pic shows it completely gone. It was a special, so it may not always be available .The Kung Pao Brisket has the perfect heat. A new favorite I'm sure I will find myself craving. My friend had the fish and chips and it was as good as I remembered. We enjoyed our cocktails. The Steinbeck 75 was a great choice for this perfect Spring day.

What a fabulous spot in Kirkwood. The staff is knowledgeable and nice. The roasted brussel sprouts and cauliflower are amazing. Headed back just for that as often as I can. The fish and chips has a perfect crust. My drink had a kick and left me with a perfect buzz. Dogs are allowed outside.

Such a great place to grab a drink and some delicious pub food. The Chinese breakfast is an all time great meal.

We haven't been to Steinbeck's in a long time, but after today's experience we will definitely be back more often. Maddie, our server, could not have been more attentive, helpful and polite. Outstanding service and delicious food! The Darwin fried chicken sandwich and the fish & chips were both amazing, as were the several beers we enjoyed.

Great server, fantastic food (philly cheese steak was phenomenal) and fast service. Seems laid back but they care about what they put out. Will be back

Well, seeing how this place is a short drive from my new apartment, I will absolutely be coming back frequently.

The Tower of Power burger, and the fried chicken sammy were incredible. If you’re in the area, you’ve gotta check this place out. Can’t recommend it enough.

This place has hands down the most underrated food in Atlanta. It's an ever changing menu, but it always features (randomly) a few amazing Asian offerings. They always have a rotating selection of pretty incredible, and rare draft beer, and the best part about it, I can almost always get a table. So, seriously, please, keep not coming here.

Great neighborhood “Whiskey” bar in Oakhurst. Located close to Decatur, this a great place to hangout. The food is fantastic on an ever rotating menu full of seasonal offerings. They also have a variety of craft beer available and yes whiskey. Reminds me of a true Irish pub.

They have a great little patio are that is perfect for having a couple of cocktails or especially nice to enjoy brunch. Order the Chinese breakfast complete with crispy pork belly.

A secret tip... order the house burger (it’s off menu) complete with bacon, fresh jalapeños and pimento cheese. Oh Yeah!

And, if you’re in the neighborhood... they throw one hell of a good party on St. Paddy’s day; live music, drink specials and give aways.

Best. fish. sandwich. ever. My husband had the Chinese breakfast. We both loved our meals. A neighborhood gem with exceptional food.

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The menu is small but always varied and of high quality. The food menu changes fairly often and rarely sticks to a single genre but I've never had anything there that wasn't phenomenal. It's a real testimate to the executive chefs skillset that he can span so many different food genres so well. While I very much recommend trying new dishes as they pop up, there's a couple mainstays on menu that are well worth your time. Namely the Chinese Breakfast and the Tower of Power(imagine if a Big Mac was made out of the highest quality ingredients), game changers for sure. If you're there for Sunday brunch, get the Pimpfileh, it's the same concept as the tower of power but Chick-fil-A(on Sunday when you need it most!.

There's a full bar with a great spirits selection. There are only a handful of beer taps but they're an always rotating, always great, mostly local selection of drafts. Guinness nearly never leaves.

The staff and ownership are top notch. No nonsense, efficient, and friendly. They're good at their jobs but still feel genuine. The kind of folks who's service you're pleased with but you'd also want to grab a beer with afterward.

I really can't recommend Steinbeck's enough. If you live or ever on the side of down, you're really doing yourself a disservice by not going.

My husband and I stopped by here on Sunday & were lucky enough to catch their brunch. The chicken & waffles was so good! The atmosphere in here is really cool, they have a great vibe. They are also so friendly & we had great service while we were there. We will definitely be back in the future.

The food here is delicious! I wish I took pictures to share because my roommate and I had a great experience here.

We sat outside because we had a dog. They immediately brought over water in a dog bowl, which we appreciated in the hot summer heat.

Ordering was efficient and the food came out fast. I got the chicken sandwich and my roommate got the Chinese breakfast. The interactions between locals and employees were also very wholesome to witness. It’s a very cute neighborhood feel.

Tried Steinbecks for the 1st time tonite. Great little local intimate place with outdoor dining available. A good selection of local beers. The service was excellent. I tried the Vietnamese Wings, which were outstanding! I can honestly say these were the best wings I have ever had. Don't pass this one up. I'll be back!

Famous neighborhood restaurant & bar with addictive and eclectic ambience. Excellent food and drinks with lots of daily specials.

Best chicken wrap EVER small and cozy but big time options. Tried and loved an Old Fashion cocktail that was smoked. It was perfect!

Got the Darwin burger and upgraded to eggplant fried and it was well worth it. Everything was crispy and not oily ! I got takeout too, and it held up. They make their food w pride here and I will definitely come back!

New Favorite Late Night Eats Joint Alert!!! Everything was on point! Saw the owner... wish I had a spot like this!!! Salmon Cakes, Smoked Wings, Tower of Power, drinks... all exceeded any expectation!
