The Gelato here is fantastic! Creamy, fresh flavorful. The owner is super nice and helpful. Always enjoy every visit. Highly recommend.

Update july 2023 : It continues to charm my entire family, and it remains my granddaughter's favorite place. who is 3 years old now. Any 'Surprise' is a visit to Cremalosa for her, and every time I and my wife visit our daughter in Atlanta, the number of such 'Surprises' increases.

The quality and service continue to remain amazing.

Superb gelatos... my two year old grand daughter loves it and knows the way to reach it walking from our nearby Decatur home. Beautiful ambience.

Great place to stop for handmade gelato. I've never had their coffee but my spouse says it is wonderful.
There are tables outside to relax and enjoy your treat with a friend.

The gelato is amazing and the owner's passion is palpable. I always take a pint home because it's just that good. The staff is all super friendly and the shop is very cute. It's right by the Avondale MARTA exist so it's super accessible and secluded enough to take a small break from life to just sit and enjoy your gelato.

The owner Meredith was very kind to a party of three with two loud children. The gelato was spectacular and probably the creamiest I’ve ever tasted. Definitely good sized portions. Recommend a single for 1-2 portions. Also serves boozy beverages which is a huge plus!

Also took note of the owner’s ally pin which was another win for our family.

A few days ago I came across an article in Food & Wine magazine titled, “The Best Ice Cream In Every State”. After just over an hour drive to judge for myself, I’ll simply say it was worth every mile travelled! My wife said it best when asked to describe her Banana Pudding & Devil Food Cake Gelato…”Perfect!” Meredith’s pleasant personality was an added bonus!

I had the straccitella gelato and the Mrs. had banana pudding. The photo probably tells you how I felt about the straccitella or how savagely fast I eat. Either way, great gelato. 5/5.

It just keeps getting better! They recently expanded their menu with coffee and are now open in the mornings. Unsurprisingly, my cappuccino was SUPERB.

They make amazing in-house pastries as well (the butter croissant is a winner!)

I was born and spent most of my life in Northern Italy where I have grown up with artisan gelato available 5 min away. Well, now after 14 years in the US I am spectacularly happy to have Cremalosa 5 min away from my house, again. Meredith knows one thing or two about real gelato. Low sugar, low fat, fresh in season fruits locally sourced...they way gelato is intended to be. You can skip a lunch or dinner and have a nutritious meal by eating real gelato. This is a dream.

Really- Italian- level quality gelato with the perfect expected gelato mouth feel. Creamy, flavorful, balanced- WOW.
We got a Valentine’s Day kit that included a pint of ice cream, two Grenache iced brownies and the most wonderful chocolate sauce. The owner called it her hot fudge, but this is so much better than that; Darker chocolate, perfect consistency...
this place is a treat. We highly recommend it!

The gelato was very good, but the boozy shake missed the mark. The shake wasn't thick at all. I still definitely plan to go back and give them another shot! Updated - I didn't try the shake, but the gelato is very creamy and delicious.

Excellent gelato. The owner used to operate out of Novo Cucina in Dunwoody (also amazing). The chocolate sorbetto is rich and heavenly. The place is a bit hidden - park and go up the stairs near the front of the apartment building. It’s in a sort of courtyard area between the apartments and the Marta bridge.
