Oakwood VA Clinic

I've been to a lot of VA clinics and this by far is the best one! Staff is top tier, facility is top tier, plenty of parking. There was no hurry up and wait. I had an appointment for 0800 got there at 0750 was seen at 0806 right after checking in.

They do walk ins as well I'm not sure how that process is. the doctor had already read over the appointment notes so there was no re answering questions and they were all funny! oh and theres a woman who's office is called "home" she's a pcms(or one of those acronyms but her office has the entire builiding smelling good!

but yea just thought id take the time to share! ill definitely always come to this one now

Of all the horror stories I've read online about the VA healthcare system. I can honestly say I have not experienced any of that here. Everyone is friendly so far. I am being treated as requested. Thanks

I have received nothing but good care here. The staff is always kind and caring and that may be because I always tell them that I appreciate them. Kindness begets kindness. My primary care doctor, Dr Coker, is awesome.

I have been here once to see a specialist for plantar fascitis. I really thought all the staff was very nice and professional. I felt a warm welcome and a sense of belonging. I felt that I was cared for which was a very different atmosphere from other VA clinics. I did not have to wait for my appointment I arrived 15 minutes early and was cheerfully welcomed the minute I arrived. I would give this VA 50 stars if I could. The friendliness of the staff made me even want to get a job here. I would volunteer to help here with any services the VA needs. I sure wish all the veterans well here

Always a great experience from The first step into facility, starting with the Security Officer to the intake staff & Professionalism of the Dr's/Nursing staff...Awesome & they don't get enough credit, appreciation they deserve...

Oakwood staff and facilities are as good as it gets. I have access to private medical care and VA medical care. I would just as soon go to Oakwood as any other care facility, VA, private, or public. I believe that says a lot. The staff is professional, but polite. Wait times are always within the projected times.

Went for lab work at Oakwood VA Clinic this morning and it only took 5-8 minutes. Unbelievable!!! And the staff was positive and extremely friendly. You don't alway find this at the VA facilities. I highly recommend the lab staff.

I wanted to give a shout out to my nurse Gwen, my doctor Regmee, the ladies who took my blood, and took the X-Ray on my elbow. All were very thorough and professional. All the screening and check-in personnel were attentive and kind. You guys make me proud to be a Veteran. Thanks for taking care of ol’ Slap!

Went there for the 1st time this week and could not have been treated better by everyone we saw! From May the lady that check us in to all the doctor's....everyone treated us with respect. May was especially nice and VERY helpful. I'm sure this is a very stressful job but you'd never know it by the way we were treated! It did take a while....but for what all they did it was amazingly quick! Really thorough!

The staff at this facility are kind and compassionate. Appointments are kept in a reasonable time frame. Only good things to say about this VA facility.

Staff is really friendly and helpful. Good coffee and donuts from the volunteers here. VA has been given a bad rap but this place appears to be trying really hard.

As a veteran I think this is one of the best VA clinic I've been to and I have one of the best doctors here at this clinic, Dr.Ommert actually saved my legs so I'm indebted to him because he a total professional and he takes his time and he's thorough also it's close to everything all round my life, my job my business, my home.

Everyone has been amazingly supportive and is the best clinic I have been to. I used to go to the Lawrenceville faculty and changed care providers....and it was the best decision I could have made!

Bring my husband there for dental work, staff is very friendly and helpful. Enjoy each visit.
