Rumor Hazit

Today was my first time there, I was so impressed on how clean this restaurant is. It's been some time since I've been in a restaurant so clean. I had the Cuban sandwich, and if I had two rate this sandwich from a 1 to a 10, I will definitely give it a 10. The sandwich was excellent. Staff was very friendly, and courteous. I have to say it again, this place is so clean. I will definitely return to this restaurant.

We have been here several times and as always great food and good service. I love to sit on the covered porch. On this particular day it rained while we were eating and enjoying some wine, typical North Georgia afternoon. After the rain passed we got the added bonus of a beautiful rainbow.

Great place! Atmosphere and food was fantastic! Was visiting from out of state, and remembered the restaurant from eating here approximately 5 years ago, it was as good as I remembered. I ordered the salmon, it did not disappoint.

Emily was our server and let me just say, the BEST server I have ever had. She was very efficient and knew exactly what she was talking about. She was running the bar and serving tables and still gave the best service I’ve had in a very long time. The food was absolutely amazing. My wife and I had the Juno that was recommended and ate every bite. For entrees we had the blackened redfish and the shrimp and grits. 5 stars is an understatement. We will definitely be back to not only see Emily but to enjoy the delicious food. The new owners are doing a wonderful job. Keep it up!

We had an amazing time at this restaurant.
The ambiance is perfect. The patio is large and has great views.
Our food was cooked amazingly and their service was exceptional.
Enough good things couldn’t be said about our time last night.
Would recommend to anyone.

We had a last minute dinner cancelation, so we went to Rumor Hazit instead. It was New Year’s Eve, so we wanted a nice meal. The staff did great and were very responsive to our questions and made several great suggestions. The food was good and everyone was happy with their meals.

I was surprised how good the shrimp and grits were. I would like a little more spice, but good flavor. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. And the chops was great. I like going to a restaurant with just a few items on the menu as they do and they do it very well. 5 stars. The food presentation was very well done along with the service. The murals are nice
The only poor thing I can say are the sticky floors as you walk. The place is clean and friend and has a nice outdoor dining area.

Well worth it. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. They will happily make modifications to their menu items, if at all possible. They have a small plates menu in addition to the regular menu. Outdoor seating to enjoy spring and fall weather. I love the strawberry and spinach salad, which you can add shrimp on top. Daily special and soups. Nice atmosphere for families. Small bar in back corner with TV but it isn't really a distraction to the main dining area. So glad to have this lunch/dinner option in downtown Clayton.

Such good service. Very relaxing fun easy-going atmosphere. Excellent food.

Great Food with lovely ambience.

I've had Lunch and dinner here and the service has been terrific and the food fabulously delicious! There is such interesting flavors in each dish. Definitely recommend the wings And a cold beer to compliment the outing .

I stopped here today for the first time with my son. The service was great and food was phenomenal! We will be back for sure. The shrimp appetizer.... something with coral sauce is so good! That was my meal and I’m really glad I ordered it. The giant pretzel is freaking huge and the cheese that goes with it is very good too.

Absolutely had a wonderful dining experience! The food was great, everyone needs to try the New Englander, best spicy crab dip with homemade chips! Waitress was very attentive and friendly even though they were extremely busy. Will be back soon!

5 Mile drive on fire road was worth some great views!!!!

Absolutely love the patio seating! Great place hangout and have a fish bowl drink while you wait on your food. Highly recommend the Grit Cakes, Crab Bisque and Spinach Strawberry salad. Service is amazing! Such friendly down to earth servers.

Really great place to eat. I had a wonderful salad plate, fresh and the blue cheese dressing tastes like fresh homemade. Staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is beautiful. Definitely will return.

Wonderful porch, tasty food and overall good environment. We both enjoyed our meals ( southerner and Po boy and a side of street corn). Good beer choices too! Had a nice rain storm pass by while dining on the porch.

FYI ownership has changed since I wrote this and I haven't been back enough to say everything is still valid, just wanted to clarify. I'll update as we visit. You have to go a bit further down Main Street but it is worth the walk, especially if you want something better than the standard bar fare. We have eaten there several times and it is always very good. They have a nice beer and wine selection and of course cocktails. The sweet or spicy red snapper is very good and I recently had the filet which was perfectly cooked and delicious with the sides. They are not as pricy as the other “high end” restaurant and have their own parking area off the side side, which is nice when downtown gets crowded.

Really good! Yummy food on the patio. Had the NO BBQ wings and a side salad (spinach, bleu cheese, &strawberries) so delicious. Hubby had the pork chops. Happy to have more options in crowded Clayton.

Can't say enough.
My Sister's and I wish we lived closer.
Awesome twist to familiar favorites. Plus extra surprises you won't get anywhere else.
Not to mention the hospitality from the staff.
My compliments to the owner and the chef.
Maybe one day, you'll open a restaurant in Savannah.
If not, we'll be back to Clayton for more.
