Exactly what you’re thinking of when you hear antique store. A great roadside spot, they’ve got tons of unique items that are interesting just to take a look at, and a few well worth owning if you’ve got the cash or looking for something unique. Glad we stopped by.

A very nice, very quaint store with many interesting items. Antique hunters love out of the way places like this.

Rent the Caboose for a unique experience! It's not overpriced and is a beautifully restored antique that has been modernized for comfort.

TV, streaming video, high speed wifi, usb plugs, etc. The owner is a great guy and will gladly tell you about local attractions you wouldn't otherwise know.

Reminds me of an antique museum. The owner really knows his stuff and you can find beautiful, well preserved/clean antiques here. There are all sorts of goodies like copper pots, apothecary jars, books, gems, tools, etc. I especially loved the little waterfall surrounded by flowers out front. There is also a restored caboose out back that you can stay in for a night!

Friendly service. Many unique items. If you are an avid thrift store buyer this place is not for you. Many of the antique items are complete. Thus, fetch a dollar amount based on age and condition.

Fantastic unique store. Every item has its place and purpose. It’s not your every day road side antique store. Lovely owner and beautiful place. Must see!

One of the best collections of unique & rare items in the N GA, Upstate SC & W NC region. First discovered this store a yr ago and have been back 3-4 times since our first visit. The owner takes great pride in what he selects as you'll quickly see it's not junk or just old dishware, etc from decades ago like so many places have these days.
We've purchased some unique vintage clocks, automotive related items, uncommon traffic signals and also a vintage National cash register that is 115 yrs old.

If you're interested in nice collectibles and passing through this area you should make a point to stop. Take your time and enjoy what inventory he has inside & outside. If you have any young children that are in to trains it's definitely worth checking out the train car, RR signals & decor he has restored outside next to the store. Be sure to check hours of operation and days open as there are some weekdays when he is closed. We'll definitely go back in 2-3 months to see what's new.

I have not been to this store before. Just saw a segment on it on FB and I am very excited about making a trip there. And more than anything, I want to rent the Caboose one night. I love trains and miss seeing the caboose at the end of the train. Young people just have no idea how neat that is. Planning a trip up that way in October and will check into renting the caboose in March. Can't wait to check this place out!!!

We have taken several 2-3 day mountain trips since we don't live that far from mountains of north Georgia and North Carolina. This was definitely the most unique place we have ever stayed. The pictures don't do it justice. It's an old C&O Caboose that's been completely renovated and it actually has plenty of room, especially for just me and my wife. Jim, the owner, is extremely friendly and is always available to answer questions. He and his wife also own the antique shop beside the caboose and are there during the day and on weekends. If you're looking for something a little different, but that you will thoroughly enjoy then this is the place for you. We surely had a great time.

Stopped in here a few weeks ago while in the area on vacation. Really interesting shop. Our kids ended up finding a few things they wanted. Owner was really nice and gave the kids a few fifty cent peices in their change, which they thought was really cool. Definitely recommend the stop and will visit again when in the area.

We have purchased many nice antiques over the years at Black Bear Antiques. We have always been treated courteously! They have a great selection of unusual and interesting items, and it's fun just to look at everything. We don't consider the antiques we've bought as expensive because we like and enjoy them. We haven't been in 2-3 years just because we were in the area in the middle of the week, but we will definitely shop there again.
