CrossFit Upshot

From Australia, decided to spend 5 months living in Denham Springs, naturally as one of the cultural capitals of the world that was an obvious choice. Decided to join a gym and get fit. I'm not the best body in the world, not the worst. Anyway- I was driving past Planet Fitness nearby, and I was like 'strueth!,' most people there do not look like the gym is working for them. Then I rolled past Upshot in my newly purchased second hand Yukon (which goes through more petrol in a day than any vehicle I've ever owned in a week), and I mouthed "Crikey,' as I saw a bunch of physical specimens looking like they rolled out of Mount Olympus.

Bloody oath I'd seen enough. I walked in, signed some waiver and barely missed a session over the next 5 months. In 5 months I went from Average Joe to something much better. Having come to Louisiana yearly for 10 years (I married a girl), I finally had my own bunch of mates and couldn't have had a better time.

This is the place to go if you are deadset about looking better and want something that you end up getting addicted to. They are great people, and though they couldn't understand Aussie English, made me feel welcome anyway. Can't speak highly enough.

Visiting Denham Springs for a family reunion. Found two boxes close by. One was closed and Crossfit Upshot was the other. Boy am I glad I kept driving and went to CF Upshot! Hit the Rooster Crew class at 05:00. I was welcomed by the staff and all the members immediately. The programming was awesome and the facilities are perfect!! Came back the next morning and met the owner who was coaching. Great guy with LOTS of coaching knowledge. HIGH:Y recommend this box and will be back for sure on my way through Denham Springs!!

Great owners, great teachers, great members- family atmosphere! This is my first month and I am below novice level- everything is scaled. I bring my 6 year old to Upshot Juniors and he loves it! Not your typical gym/not your typical workout. Believe me, if I can do this then anyone can. Check them out, first 2 classes are on the house!

Was in town visiting family, and dropped-in at CrossFit Upshot for the past five days. This box has everything you need to get your work done. The Coaches were knowledgeable and engaging. True to the CrossFit community, Upshot's staff and their Athletes displayed hospitality second to none.

I joined 4 months ago and have lost about 7 lbs going 2-3 times per week and not changing my diet at all. I'm actually eating more to have more energy to workout. My resting heart rate is also down from in the 70s to the low 60s. I wouldn't have done it without the accountability you get from an awesome crossfit group!

The best decision I ever made was joining Upshot. Lee and Michael have developed a professional and challenging program that will test you and push you to your limits. Everyone is family and you'll never have a bad workout.

The people here are very welcoming and the trainers do a great job of both teaching proper technique and encouraging growth
