Thrift Town Drugs Health Mart Pharmacy

I have never had an issue here, I've always been treated with respect and everyone is always nice. I take a lot of controlled meds, which usually makes my experience with pharmacies a roller coaster ride, but I've never had issues. I drive almost 30 minutes to go here so I can be treated with respect

Very nice staff. Very reasonable prices. Have always been pretty quick at filling my prescriptions.

They are always very quick and friendly. We drop off our prescriptions and pick up a few things at Carter's and our prescriptions are ready when we return. We prefer this pharmacy over any other pharmacy.

Couldn't ask for more dependable and courteous service than what you get from Thrift Town. I have been with them for 40+ years. Always take care of me and my family.

The employees were nice. The only problem I had was with Google Maps location for this business. It was placing the business on top of I12. It is located close to Carter's Supermarket on Frost Rd.

Dropped off my script after having surgery. After calling them to find out what info of mine my cuz needed to have with him to pick up my meds, since it is narcotics, I was told that Medicaid requires a “prescription code and prior authorization” before the medication can be filled… They did not bother calling me to tell me the moment they knew this, instead waited for me to call 2 hours after dropping the script off to inform me that they needed these things. Not recommended

The pharmacist and the employees here were very rude to me. My husband is an active duty military member and is currently deployed. I went to this pharmacy to have my prescription filled and upon getting there, they asked for my insurance card. Well, with military, my dependent ID is my insurance card; I just had to inform them of my husband's social and birthday which is nothing new. Well, after giving them my ID, they talked about making a photo copy of it. I told them no because it is against the law to make copies of a DOD Issued ID to which the woman behind the counter caught an attitude with me. Then, after that moment started to settle, the pharmacist asked for my husband's social from behind the second counter implying that I would need to talk loudly to tell him. Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I was always told that socials are very personal information. I don't want my husbands identity taken. I asked him if I could write it down or him come closer so I didn't have to yell and he said that we are in a pharmacy and it would be fine... eventually, he came over and handed me a piece of paper... the way this situation was handled was VERY unprofessional and I will NOT be bringing my services back to this location. I was also hassled about having my prescription filled and had to call my doctors office and inform them of the complications I was having. Luckily, they called and settled the dispute. So future reference, it is A FEDERAL LAW that you CANNOT photocopy a DOD ID! Or else you will have to pay a very large, substantial fine and could also go to prison over it. Don't believe me? LOOK IT UP! Making a photo copy of something this confidential is dangerous for the military and their many active duty members, as well as retired, and compromises the United states military! Anyway, yeah, I really wish I could give this place NO stars.

Flowflex home Covid tests cost $9.99, this pharmacy charged me $39.95 plus tax! This is price gouging at its finest. I called them on this price and they said something supply and demand so I asked for a refund. They refused to let me return it. I am livid to know that there is a business in our area that cares nothing about the customers and are exploiting this Covid epidemic. This business needs to be audited and closed down! I have reported to the attorney generals office and if I could’ve given them a 0 rating I would have.

This place is extremely rude. I live within walking distance! Makes no sence for me to go 20 min away to get meds when i am disabled, cant drive, and legally vision impaired! But EVERY SINGLE TIME i go to get my meds filled in the 6 years i lived here its always "we out". But whats funny is there is no problem untill 1) they find out im on medicaid because i am disabled, or 2) one of my MANY prescriptions (12 to be exact) is a pain med. I have a lifelong condition and they have given me dirty looks and was extremely rude. This place should be shut down and investigated by the DEA. I have yet to get ANY prescription filled there in 6 years.

This pharmacy LACKS pure old fashion customer service. The management is rude and snobbish. The Pharmacist is never approachable and not personable. The staff does not keep your information confidential and when asked to call or text when a prescription is ready they NEVER do. One day my ENT called in an antibodic three hours later we went by there and it was not ready. We asked them to please, let me know when it was ready ( I was running 102.1 fever), two and a half hours later went back up there and again it was NOT ready, I asked a third time for them
To call when it was ready , as well as called my dr to see what the hold up was thinking ok maybe it was the Dr. NO the Dr’s office was able to give me a specific time the med was sent and it has been sent 5 hours earlier. ABSOULTELY uncalled for. I will drive to BR or. Denham Springs 100x’s over than EVER recommending or using Thrift Town. This small town Pharmacy Has a lot to learn about customer service. If I could rate this a 0 I would👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Also who’s business is it if I get prescriptions filled AT my dr’s office in BR or if I get a prescription filled because of convience in Walker or Denham because THEIFT TOWN is closed at 6. They WILL NOT question my decisions OR treat me like I have done something wrong. I have been a local citizen of Livingston and have supported this great community and NEVER HAVE I ever been so rudely talked to than by the lady manager. Sorry Tony but YOU as owner needs to step up and let ya talk to YOU AS A MANAGER. Do thrift Town has rudeness down to an art.

They are illegally price gouging at home CoVId tests . They exploited my parents who do not know the law or correct prices . Two home tests are 87 dollars . They then claim on the phone they don’t . We need to report them to police in masses . They exploit the fact that there are no tests and only have tests because nobody can afford it . They claim it is all they can get but they price gauge anyway . These are dirty , dirty people .

I find the staff is rude and even over the phone they get a attiude.when you need something filled and they said it'd to soon to fill they don't tell you when you can pick it up. So you're left calling them back with their attitude they carry .

Customer service has been AWFUL lately
Girls have been very rude and they are always out of almost every medicine whenever a prescription is placed
No help whatsoever when I have questions
Most recent time (also my LAST time using this pharmacy) one of the younger girls ROLLED HER eyes when I told her I know my meds aren’t ready but I need to update my insurance so everything will be ready when I get back
Used to love this place now I get aggravated thinking about it

Very rude employees my last visit the lady didnt even speak at all not even a smile took the bottle wrote down name and script num for refill and handed bottle back didnt say how long or anything
