We love an independently owned bookstore! Such a cute place and I wish I could have spent more time here.

The staff were all great and helpful.

One of the cutest and friendliest book stores I’ve ever visited. The book store is adorable but you can tell the staff love their jobs. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They carry a good selection of books along with book themed crafts made by peeps who are from Missouri. The staff helped me pick out a great book and I can’t wait to start reading it. If you’re in St. Charles stop by and support a local bookstore. I’m also super excited to wear my new “book nerd” earrings 🥰🥰

While we didn't get to spend much time there, I really enjoyed the vibe of this store. The staff was super-friendly. Hopefully we get to stay longer on our next visit to St. Charles.

I love a good bookstore and this is the best I've been to in ages. I love how they organized and merchandised the books. Upstairs there were table or shelf displays on a certain topic. My favorite was the display for mythology across the world. And many of the books on that display were able to be face out so you could see the gorgeous book covers and more easily see what kind of mythology book it was.

Obsessed! Can't wait to come back.

The stairs to the upper floor are narrow and steep FYI but there is a sturdy railing.

cutest and coziest place ever! also has the kindest staff members. i got a tote bag and a book today, and it's such a good environment! also, i took this cute picture of their sign today!!! consider visiting if you enjoy books or honestly just a good cozy atmosphere!

Absolutely love this bookstore! My kids always even look forward to going there. the staff is s helpful, and they do so many events also.

Very cute, small store with lots of things to look at & choose from. It had less books in it than I thought it would, but clearly defined sections plus lots of book-lover types things that are perfect for gifts or things you didn't know you wanted/needed in your life. The staff was friendly & it is a great place to stop in & indulge in your reading passion.

The smell when you walk in is amazing. It screams book nook. Very cute and quaint. Recommend any day.

This is a neat little book store. Found some great books for kids and grandkids and the coasters alone were worth the visit! I haven't laughed that hard in a while.

What a perfectly quaint bookshop to have in this amazingly historic town! I love the beauty of this building inside and out and that they have 2 floors with a great selection of books for all ages! Also check out the miniature bookstore fairy door as part of the Miniature Portals of St Charles!

I love this place! Always crowded, but cozy in a good way. My one complaint is that the stairwell is a bit narrow.

This is a great small bookstore. I love that I can actually talk to people about books I like or my kid likes and they can talk through possible options. They have recommended some great books.

Love love love Main St Books. They have such a great collection and the workers are always so friendly. We’ve been to an author signing here before too and it was so organized and tickets were reasonable! We especially love the kids section and always leave with a few more for our toddler. Can’t recommend enough!

It's a cute little shop with nice stuff and good books.

A lovely bookstore that is a ‘must-visit’ in beautiful St. Charles, Missouri. The curators were very helpful in locating books with information on the surrounding area. Sections and shelves were extremely tidy and understandable. Inventory includes new and used books with two store levels. I appreciated places to sit; restrooms are located across the street in the Visitors’ center.

Cutest bookstore! There are some great finds in this store for all book lovers and the ambiance of the place is just perfect. We will surely be returning!

I love having an independent book store in town, and this place is just the cutest. They have a pretty good selection of newer books from popular authors, as well as the classics you would expect. There's also gifts galore for bookworm types. Be sure to check upstairs for the extensive used section.

The store staff were excellent in keeping everyone in line and on time for Lucy Score's book signing! They even emailed when it was oversold and asked if it was OK for me to come in a night earlier, they kept up communication to the last minute. The bookstore is bright, clean, well kept, and stocked with gorgeous brand new independent authors!!
