Darel's Bakery & Sweets

A small mom and pop's bakery run by a very friendly, very professional staff. Nice, simple decor. Clean. Accommodates a crowd of up to about twenty people comfortably. Great South American coffee. Delicious and pretty looking pastries. I and a group of about ten men meet at this place weekly. We love the place. The person in charge is Momma Dee, a marvelous lady and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this bakery if you want the best pastries and service here in Jacksonville

First time visiting! Lots of parking, great staff and a cozy space inside to seat and enjoy some delicious pastries! I tried a little bit of everything….literally. I highly recommend and I’ll return!

Let me tell you if you are looking for a sweet treat different from the usual ordinary donut then you've got to try this place. They carry coissants and macaroons, colored cookies.
Their location is next to Express Printing on Marine Blvd. They have a glass case filled with a variety of croissants filled with all kinds of creamy and fruity fillings. There's apple, blueberry, cream cheese frosting & bavarian creme. Toppings such as bacon bits, nuts, carmel, maple.Also, covered with yummy frostings flavored in chocolate, vanilla and more. They don't take long to prepare, but you can order ahead.
They sell coffee too. There's a station with all your coffee mates and sugars. They have tables and chairs if you care to dine in. I love their one arcade game. Sign their wall if you feel so inclined to say you were there.

The hot Cheetos croissant was the perfect balance of goodness. It’s salty, sweet and has a slight zing to it. The pastries aren’t heavy at all. They are super light and moist. I’m sorry for the pictures but we couldn’t wait to dig in. This is a MUST TRY experience for Jacksonville. My tastebuds are blown away. The staff is friendly and kind. We will be back for sure!

Absolutely amazing croissants! Such a nice little shop, you can write whatever you want on the wall in the entrance. Excellent customer service and atmosphere. I wish I wasn't visiting so I could come here often!! Will definitely be coming back here everytime I'm in town!!

Cute store with very friendly staff and excellent specialty croissants. We tried many different ones and they were all excellent.

They are dog friendly and have a sitting area as well as mini arcade for kids. Would highly recommend a stop here! Thanks!

I went there today and the croissants were phenomenal!! The wait time was low. There is a black lady that works there with braids in a ponytail, she’s so sweet. Excellent customer service!

Delicious croissants and cinnamon rolls 😋 the outside doesn't seem so nice, but the inside was cozy and very clean. Wish they would partner with other local places - like 910 coffee for instance.

Very good food. We tried the Boston Cream and the Key Lime Croissants as well as one scoop of pistachio walnut ice cream and an ice coffee. All of it cost $6 and it was delicious. The atmosphere was cool and cozy. Everything came out quick and they were very friendly about everything. I would highly recommend it!

Staff was very polite and patient! Food was amazing! This is a must try restaurant if you enjoy sweets. I had to go read all the non-5 star ratings and laugh at them because there is no way this place was anything less than 5 stars. AMAZING!

We are big fans of Darrells bakery! Every time my daughter visits from Florida it is one of the must go to stops. We all love the great selection of croissants and thankfully have this option close to home.
I have always had great experiences when we shop here. The only note I would say about this location is it can be a little harrowing to get into the parking lot depending on which direction you’re coming from on 17.

The people in here are always so friendly and nice. The atmosphere is very relaxed and cozy. It's always been clean everytime I go there. The crossants are so delicious,! If you haven't tried this place yet, please make time to stop in. You won't regret it. It might be small, but the food has huge flavor!

Darel's is the best of the best. Dangerously addictive. I'm glad it's a 1/2hr from us or we would be there way too often. The employees are great and the croissants are even better

Awesome little place. The service is fantastic and friendly. The croissants are out of this world! I got the grandma's breakfast to try something I usually wouldn't and it was great. Atmosphere is awesome, there is a small little dining area that feels like home along with a little arcade machine for kids (or adults if you can crouch for a game of pac man). Go here for a quick pastry and some great coffee.

We just moved here from Oklahoma, and have been really missing our small town donut shops. I decided to try Darel’s, and let me tell you…These are AMAZING! I have tried several, and so far none of them have been a disappointment. The owner is very friendly, and the staff is exceptional. The bakery is kept meticulously clean too! I would recommend Darel’s to anyone and everyone that is in the area!

I’m embarrassed to say my husband and I (& our 2 year old) might have eaten all of these in 1 day. They are incredibly fresh and light and fluffy and just overall delicious! We got an assortment of boston cream, chocolate covered, raspberry filled and cinnamon. Will definitely be back! The staff was awesome as well!!

Wow. This place is a hidden treasure. The croissants are light, fluffy and crunchy. They would be pure delight even if they weren't covered or filled with sugary goodness. Super affordable. I will have to try their coffee next time...

Super soft and buttery croissants complimented by sweet filling! Any flavor you get is delicious, but I really enjoyed the apple and Boston creme. The powdered sugar is a bit messy, though, so beware!
