New Star Chinese & Hibachi Restaurant

I used to come here frequently. Now, I save it for one of those rare treats. Food is always tasty snd hot. The two gals that work up front keep things moving even on the busiest days. I highly recommend New Star

First time here! Been looking for a good place since we left va beach and moved to moyock! This food was great ND the gal behind the counter was nice even with being slammed with many orders! Will definitely go back!

I had the Hearty Breakfast Bowl. What an amazing meal. The added mushrooms and onions made a great dish even better. My addition was the Texas Pete.

I usually order from Shun Xing but they’re closed tonight, I think I’ll be ordering from here now on. The food was super hot and delicious, genera tso’s was a nice balance of soft and crunchy, the wanton soup was nice and dark and packed with wantons and flavor and the chow mein was crunchy. I tend to be picky about my Chinese food so these guys definitely earned their stars. Oh, and the ladies at the front were wonderful.

Always have food ready for pick up. Often add extra pieces of the protein if the pieces are small. This gets a Big thumbs up in my mind.

Maaaannn! I've been looking for a good Chinese food place around here and just when I was about to give up...NEW STAR SAVED THE DAY!!! The shrimp lo mein was amazing the shrimp fried rice was awesome and let me go there with shrimp egg roll which was off the hook! So I hope the staff and New Star will get used to seeing my face up in the place because I will be there FREQUENTLY!!!!

We recently switched here because our last regular chinese food stop had switched owners or something and the food wasn't the same. We are very pleased. Good food and large portions compared to what we were used to getting. This is now our new regular go to place.

Great local Chinese restaurant, unique in that I think it’s the only one that offers hibachi plates/dishes (aside from the local Japanese places). Prices are reasonable and similar to other places in town. Of course, the most important thing is…the foods are good and you get a good quantity with the orders (ie you won’t go hungry). I like their vegetables most…because they’re not cooked to mush and you can tell they are fresh and slightly al dente. The only gripe is jumbo shrimp can be expensive $$$$ to add ($0.50 each) to your orders…but I guess it makes up for the relative inexpensiveness of the majority of other dishes.

Vegetarian options, easy in and out! Excellent portion sizes for prices. Right now they are doing carry out only.

From the Chinese places in ECity to choose from, this is your best choice by far!! Shun Xing near the hospital used to be the only place I went, but since COVID the food has been awful.
