Food Lion

Our church ordered 78 pieces of fried chicken on Sunday, August 3rd, 2023 and it was absolutely delicious! They accommodated us by having it ready by 11:00 a.m. and we greatly appreciated it! Nancy, the deli manager as well as her staff are truly an asset at Food Lion! Many thanks for assisting us in having our fellowship luncheon!

I love this Food Lion. They always have fully stocked shelves and the store is very clean. The staff is awesome they always great you or speak to you as you pass by them and are always willing to help. Management is so friendly and treats you like a friend when they talk to you. I actually live in Moyock,about twenty minutes from this store and would much rather drive to shop at this store then the Food Lion that is just down the road from me.

Clean and friendly but pricey compared to other places. Had what we needed. We will continue to shop here when we don't want to go too far from the house.
Today, 9/27 went in for emergency items, and they had them plus, suprisingly, great buy on something we would have bought elsewhere. 😉 check out was fast and friendly. Great quick visit 👍🏻😊

It's one of the less busy food loin's here. So you can get in and out really fast

Really glad that we have so many Food Lions in our area. Also, they keep their recycling center just outside their door under the eave. This is where you can drop either plastic bags, wraps or paper bags. Walmart has theirs inside their customer service center and Lowes has theirs at their exit. Walmart and Lowes needs to move theirs outside or where folks can drop them off.

I love my Food Lion. I go to this store at least once a day, if not twice and the employees always say hi and ask how my day is going. They'll jump on a closed register to ring me up, they run in the back to grab the freshest celery they have for me. Genuinely nice employees are rare, not only in a grocery store, but rare period. Wouldn't trade my Food Lion for the world. 🤗

Friendly staff. Very attentive to the needs of the patrons. Almost always has everything in stock. Selection in inhibited these days by the pandemic, but for the most part, shelves are stocked. Not this stores fault. Always a great experience. I recommend EVERYBODY in E City shop here.

Love to do my grocery shopping here. Employees are friendly and prices are decent. I especially like their produce and deli departments. Their meat department could use some help. Their lines aren't usually too long and they're quick to add more cashiers to move things along quicker.

Very clean and organized 👌 Cashier's and other employees are very very polite! There's a young man and a young woman who are especially welcoming and extremely polite and helpful. I will find out they're names and post later.

Decent grocery store for your all of your needs , whether it be baking goodies or, meats for your grill to bakery iteams . Food lion usually has what you need and at the best prices .

Nancy the deli manager saved the day! If you ever need a cake she's the one to see. I was in a bind and needed a cake the next day. It was beautiful and tasted great! Thank you for the great customer service!!

I visit this Food Lion couple times a year when I'm in the area to visit family pretty much we get everything that you can think of anything from chicken to steak to milk two pasta to ground beef and the chicken salad that's in the back Refrigeration I can't remember what the name of it is but my brother says it's made somewhere there in North Carolina and it is amazing

I'm handicapped and can't get around well. Food lion always looks out for me through my whole entire visit and helps me the best they can. I never have to ask for help, they just jump in and help me when I need it. When they see I'm in a lot of pain and in a long line, they will open up another register for me so I won't have to keep waiting. No other store does this. They also make sure I can get out to my car OK and call for assistance when I have alot. Thank you Food Lion!

Had to go to Elizabeth city to get a item at Lowes that wasn't available at the one in Suffolk. On the way back wife wanted to stop and do some grocery shopping at Food Lion there on our way back. This Food Lion is by far much nicer, cleaner and seems to have a better variety then both our Food Lions in Suffolk. If it wasn't about 10 miles further then the ones in Suffolk we would surely shop there all the time. Wife said if we ever have to Elizabeth city again in the future and I'm sure we will, we most likely be stopping and shopping there again.

Great customer service, clean store, good selection.

I shop this store nearly everyday if not every other day so I’m not sure why it says visited over a year ago. But anyways, this is my main store for groceries. They are the cheapest around with great, fresh & non expired food! I will not shop Walmart or anywhere else when it comes to my groceries. The other stores are too overpriced & have less quantities. I can usually get 6-8 meals for around $60! That’s without coupons. I don’t do coupons, only the MVP APP. Which is great also. Instead of using just your card or phone number, using the app lets you earn dollars off as well as it has extra coupons on the app aside from just the mvp price. I buy all my meats here as I get a larger portion for less. I usually get my laundry necessities, deli items and paper products here too. Everything still cheaper than Walmart. This is my favorite place to shop.

Clean, with friendly staff and a good selection (especially their meats). I've never had issues checking out quickly here; it's become my preferred grocery stop in Elizabeth City.

Foodlion is a store that I can find all that I need, workers are polite and I visit the store at least 3 times a week

Everyone at this Food Lion store is friendly and if you need something they never act likes it is a bother to help..
Also a big "shout out" to Mark in the deli/bakery department... he took a cake order for me over the phone for my lil boy 3rd bday I told him what I was thinking of and he decorated the cake amazingly; he textured the frosting to look like green grass and the brown to look like dirt/mud and waved the blue for the water; I'm doing a dinosaur theme for him; by mistake the bakery did 2 cakes Mark did one an some one else did the other and I was able to choose which cake I liked the best; the other cake was Ok looking but it was mainly just frosting on a cake--Marc really went the extra step and made the cake "real"! No disrespect to the one who frosted the other bc I couldn't have done even that well without having a mess; but Marc paid special attention to the notes he took down and then delivered on it!!
I'll definitely keep coming back to this FL store/location... not to mention the store is clean and well stocked.
