This Western Auto has been there for at least 35 years, probably more. When I was about 14, I met Mr. Teaching at Star Hill Golf course. Of course, now his son runs the business. They are one of the only places that still work and repair items like lawnmower, weedwackers, etc. Their prices are slightly higher than Lowe's or Home Depot. But between fixing products that every other place tells you to just buy a new one or carrying the part to sell to you which almost no big chain stores carry in-stock, well makes up for a little bump in price on stock items. Just my observation.

Western Auto is the quintessential family business. They’re always polite and helpful and their inventory is top notch. I’m a Stihl convert after buying several tools here. My mower’s been going strong for 10 years. Don’t believe the haters! Great store!!

They are awesome at repairing small equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc). Excellent selection of Sthil products.

Needed a tire replacement in 24 hours to make it to work. Reached out for a last minute request and was informed they did not have my tire in stock, but that it can be ordered. The tire arrived before the store opened that following day and was replaced efficiently, professionally, and with extremely kind service. Will definitely be doing business again.

I can not be more impressed. Took my Husqvarna riding mower in this morning. Had a oil leak and needed tuning. Dropped it off around 8 and it was ready at 2. Gus did a awesome job. Thanks Gus.

This is a great place to take any of your lawn mowers. The work crew are on point about getting your lawn mower fixed. This store has a 5 star customer rating service in my book. And the owner Mr. Teachy is a great person and is always helping out. And Cole is the worker that fixed my zero turn, he did a great job and was very skillful about knowing how to fix it. I highly recommend this store to anybody that needs help or having problems with your lawn mower.

I go to Western Auto sometimes 4 times or more a week in the summer to take care of my ranch. These guys go above and beyond to take care of their customers. They were one of the first stores open after the hurricane to help people get back on their feet amd they help serve this community. This is a great local business and i go to them first. Mike and the guys are great

It doesn't get better than this old fashioned great quality professional assistance and all that I needed i. Parts to do a thorough tune up on my Troy Zero turn. Family owned and operated for 2 generations. Support small local businesses they care show them we care.

This shop is family owned and run and they work very well with their customers. I have been coming to them for a few years now and Mr. Teachey is always happy to help. He's definitely the only guy around that I'll buy my tires from. Always a pleasure doing business with them.

Very helpful and knowledgeable. The guy that was there the day I went oh, he went the extra mile to help figure out what chain a chainsaw needed that wasn't even present and it was an off-brand. But he put in a little extra effort and did some research and figured it out

Great place always have the parts you need with the highest quality ones at that. The people who work there are extremely knowledgeable and not only are they a Sthil dealer but they also carry Bobcat zero turns and Toros and conveniently located in Swansboro love it because I don't have to fight that Jacksonville traffic awesome place
