Carver's Orchard & Applehouse Restaurant

What a cool treat I came across while taking a different route back to the hotel. Had to stop in and see what it was all about. I was greeted with the warmest manner. Had a piece of pie and coffee with a sweetheart of a gal that worked there and told me all about it. She was the first person I've really conversed with while out here for work.

I also ate lunch there and had the catfish. It was delicious! I also picked up a few items for later use. All in all I had a great time. Thank you!

We enjoyed it very much, beautiful abundant produce. It was a beautiful day and sitting in rocking chairs between shopping was an added benefit, highly recommend!

2nd time there. Food was great. Fried chicken was like Grandma’s. Capped it off with fried apple pie and ice cream. Perfect. Our server was great, very nice and spot on. Leave with a bag of fresh apples and cider to keep enjoying it. We will be back.

Our food was delicious. Highly recommend stopping here to eat, then walk around a bit before continuing your trip. The views are beautiful and refreshing. There is a large store selling all kinds of fresh fruit, veggies, nuts, and lots of other delicious things. There is a very nice candy store with lots of your candy favorites and many you couldn't even imagine. I highly recommend stopping by even if you have to go a little out of the way.

Wow what a meal ! Awesome food and people. A must try if your in this neck of the woods. They are open daily 11am to 5 pm. We had lunch, and have had the breakfast the last time we visited. Plus they have a market you can buy fresh produce, and anything to do with apples.

Are you looking for the best, family owned orchard, food and restaurant? Look no further! Great homemade foods, ciders, fruits and veggies, including a chocolate shop. Lovely grounds, restaurant and employees. Definitely recommend!

What a fun day with good friends. The food was plentiful and delicious. The service was wonderful as there were a few different people waiting on us as of they helped each other...so refreshing to witness this! The chocolate pinto bean pie 🥧 😋

Friendly staff and a nice, clean eating area. The produce store next door had a good selection of seasonal fruits and veggies and canned items. It was also kept clean. The candy store across the way was EXCELLENT!

Wonderful experience for the whole family! This takes me back to my childhood of going to pick apples in the orchard, eating all the fresh food, and visiting the shop after for all the local goods. There is also a candy shop, which unfortunately was not open at this time. I guess that gives us an easy reason to come back soon!

Great country cooking style food. The view out the large window overlooking the orchard grounds with the mountains in the background is nice as well. The market has a wide selection of fresh apples and vegetables. I found some green tomato relish as well.

*Update* Returned with family on 12/21/22. Restaurant wasn't too busy. I had the chicken and dumplings and the rest of my family had the fried catfish. The dumplings were great and everyone else said the catfish was delicious and not to bother using the tartar sauce - not needed. Also purchased another apple to try from next door. For us at least, the ever crisp apple turned out to be a very tasty choice! Picked up a pack of fried peanuts to try as well - good - taste like roasted peanuts.

Visited after 3 p.m. on a Thursday in October.  We were surprised at just how busy they were. We decided to get our shopping over with before sitting down to eat.

They have an amazing selection of apples and, even though they were short-staffed and busy, several employees offered assistance and to answer any questions we might have. We explained that we were looking for a good snacking apple and what we typically liked and she recommended the carousel and cosmic crisp apples. We purchased both, along with some tomatoes and a purple bell pepper to try.

The restaurant was clean, well maintained and beautifully nestled within the orchard and surrounding mountains. We were seated promptly next to one of the windows (beautiful views), orders taken and food served in a timely manner with a friendly smile and service.

I enjoyed the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and fried apples - hands down the best fried chicken I've had in a really long time. The sides were okay. My mother had the chicken and dumplings with green beans and fried apples. She said her chicken and dumplings were delicious and, since I helped myself to a bite, I concur! 😋 Yum!

Unfortunately, they didn't have any apple fritters available for us to try so we decided to get a couple of fried apple pies to take home instead, along with our large amount of leftovers from the generous portions that were served. The fried pies weren't bad, but neither of us really cared for them. The crust was fairly thick and the filling reminded me more of a chunky applesauce than the type of filling I'm used to in a homemade fried pie.

The carousel apples and tomatoes we purchased were delicious. We didn't enjoy the taste of the cosmic crisp apples quite as much. I wish I could tell you about the purple bell pepper. Unfortunately, my malamute must have thought I bought it for him and snatched it off the table for himself. HE gives it 5 out of 5 stars!!! Bless his heart!

Overall, both of us are definitely looking forward to returning. The fresh produce was wonderful and reasonably priced as were our meals. Hope to eventually get to try the apple fritters as well as the purple bell pepper my fur baby enjoyed so much!

Absolutely 5 star food and service all the way. Justin our server did a phenomenal job. Food was fresh and piping hot.

Nice homey feel. Lots of canned items, apples, some other produce to choose from.
Wait staff was nice, daughter loved chicken her dumplings. Said its her favorite resturant now. Kids menu was nice and fair price $6 including drinks.
Apple cider was good. Most of the food was good, grilled pork chops were a little blan. A little pricey for adults. Overall great place and atmosphere.

Love this place! Food was so good, service was fast, and there’s a great view of the orchard.

The apple butter was delicious! So was the catfish and chicken and dumplings. We bought lots of jams and food from their market. Would definitely come back.

Bought Golden Delicious and Winesap apples and was helped by Amanda - she did a great job!!
Restaurant was not very busy and we had the special - excellent. Topped off visit with a trip to the fudge shop.

Try their fried pies! They are huge and you have to hold them with two hands! Lots of goody inside and the crust is flaky. I think somebody's grandmother made these with tons of love! The restaurant was recommended by a local but she forgot to tell us the restaurant was closed that day. We drove for an hour and didn't get to eat but the fried pie was worth the trip!

If you're looking for authentic Southern dining in a natural country setting, this is a great choice! We loved our table overlooking the apple orchard with mountains in the background, as well as the rustic menu with specialties like chicken and dumplings and country fried steak. We ordered fried chicken, along with homemade mashed potatoes, slaw and fried apples from the orchard. All of it was mouthwatering! The service was friendly and efficient as well. Don't forget to visit the barn on your way out for an array of fruits, jams and other products.

Cute little side trip for some excellent country fixins! Get the chicken and dumplings. Love the market there and the fresh apple turnovers and fresh veggies. We also took home some delicious apple butter!

We arrived 1/2 hour before closing and our server, while tired was quick and pleasant. Kudos to her! Seated at a booth next to the window overlook in the orchard gave us a nice view. The barbecue pork was great, the vegetable soup really good, reminded me of Mom's as growing up, and the fritters, oh those fritters!
