I was randomly searching for pizza in the area that wasn’t from a chain and I luckily came across this spot. Unfortunately, they don’t have pizza (or carry out to my knowledge) but when the food, atmosphere and service is this good, who cares?? Where do I start? We went there on a Friday night at around 7pm. The place is so inconspicuous that we would’ve passed it had it not been for the Christmas lights out front. We went in to the definition of a quaint but cozy restaurant and were immediately greeted by both waiters (yes there were only two but they were excellent) one of whom told us it would be a 10 minute wait. We waited in the car for 10 minutes then went back and were seated immediately. We were met with glasses of water and the best bread and seasoned olive oil pairing I’ve ever had in my life. Seriously, that may have been the best bite of the night and that’s saying a lot. We followed up with the Caesar salad and it was perfection. I ordered the vodka penne and my fiancé got the stuffed rigatoni. Both were excellent. The specials sounded amazing too but I wanted to try something I’ve had before before diving head first. But no worries because we will be back. The atmosphere allowed for us to have intimate conversations and really bask in all they had to offer. Very long story short, if you’re looking for a place to eat good and fresh food, have excellent service and just enjoy your company, this place is it. 10/10

Immediately greeted, exceptional tasting food. Reasonably priced Gino who I think was the owner waiting on me hand and foot.
pasta was cooked al dente / perfect and I had the chicken parmesan. Definitely recommend for anybody excellence small business. You can tell they take pride in ownership in a small restaurant

The food here was fantastic and the service was next level. We had the ravioli special, lemon chicken, caprese and the pistachio cheesecake and all will be remembered fondly. Eugene was warm, welcoming and hilarious. We will definitely go back and will be telling friends.

If you want an authentic Italian experience visit this place. The owner is from Rome and he brought all the traditional recipes with him. Gino and everybody else was super friendly and attentive. Totally recommended!

Limited seating, but worth the wait. We try to go early to ensure the specials are still available. Have never been disappointed with any dish. Family owned and operated which makes it easy to form connections.

This restaurant is #1 Favorite place to eat in Florence. Great food made and served by amazing people. At this point, I've tried almost everything in their continuously updated menu, along with many of the daily specials. I have yet to find any duds. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a quiet, friendly place with quality food.

I wish they did half stars; this place deserves 4.5 stars! They take care and special attention to the food they make. It is very, very good and the service is friendly. From the focaccia bread & it's well seasoned garlic oil to the arugula salad & it's semi-sweet & mellow dressing to the mascarpone stuffed tortellini and with its creamy 'pink' sauce to the spinach ravioli with its homemade tomato sauce to the chicken parm and the mound of perfectly cooked spaghetti, delicioso!!

Max is always top notch. We have used him for business dinners as well as date nights and he always delivers.

Da Massimo Ristorante is without a doubt my favorite place for authentic Italian cuisine. Massimo and his staff are fantastic and make you feel like you are part of the family.

The food is always great. The price is a little high for some. However the food and service are worth it.

A very nice italian spot in Florence. Nice ambiance, good collection of wine, good seating. Very good pasta sauces. Not a lot on the menu which is ideal for people who know what they want.

This is one of the best places to eat in Florence and the best Italian restaurant. I grew up by Chicago and my first job was washing dishes at an Italian restaurant. Been to a lot and this one reminds me of those “authentic” Italian restaurants. I use the quotes because I’ve never been to Italy, just little Italy.

Went for dinner. The owner was warm and friendly. The service and food was outstanding. Will most definitely be back.

The most authentic Italian food I’ve ever had, after visiting I couldn’t stop talking about how amazing it was. The price is very reasonable too. This is our new favorite spot in town!! Also, the service was amazing!!
