Pawleys Front Porch

Service was a little slow, but you never know what the kitchen has going on. Could’ve been a new cook that day. Overall, my burger was very enjoyable atmosphere was really fun.

I almost always stop by Pawleys Front Porch when I pass through Columbia and my most recent visit was the best yet! I like to sit outside and Brittany, the bartender, was a shining light throughout my lunch, always promptly refilling my drink and doing it with a smile on her face. My chicken wrap delicious (I'm trying to be more healthy or I would have gotten one of their famous burgers). The manager didn't seem interested in anything going on, he appeared kinda out of it but the restaurant seemed to run like a well oiled machine without him!

First I would like to say that I have been here several times and this was the best experience I've had. I got caw caw creek with sweet potato fries and it was lovely. My server Hayden was very attentive at made sure to keep checking in if I needed anything even though it was very busy. I will be coming back amazing service and food.

First time here. I made up a parking space next to someone else. I looked up “best burgers in Columbia” and was NOT disappointed. It was around 3pm so the place was busy but not packed. We sat quickly and everyone was so friendly! The food though. Good God the food. The fries are the best kind of rough cut fries you can find. Crispy and somehow soggy. Just the right amount of salt. My burger was cooked to perfection but my dang mouth is too small to fit it all in so I cut it in half. The chicken nachos were killer and I’m told the catfish was as well. Jenna I believe was our server and could not ask for a friendlier person to take care of us. 10/10 will come back.

Wow! Great burgers. If you are looking for a home cooked char grilled style of burger. Pawleys is worth a bite! The fresh home cut fries were also good. The vibe was laid back and chill and the staff seems to know their regulars well. Which, is a plus in my book for customer service! I will definitely be back again to visit!

Great experience tonight! First time customers. We brought our dog and sat out on the porch which is great for watching the nite life go by. Our server Brian was fantastic. Absolutely went above and beyond- was generous in offering beer samples before my husband picked his choice and brought our dog a water bowl without our asking.

My husband got the Isle of Palms burger and I got the chicken panini (based on the sever’s recommendation for someone who doesn’t like burgers.) my husband really enjoyed his and mine was also very good. High quality ingredients all around and fresh and hot. The fries were great (although they needed a little salt- no problem, just asked for a salt shaker.) Also had the pawley’s punch for a drink, which was good but didn’t taste particularly boozy.

Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be returning again. Also really nice that they had dedicated spaces in the parking lot.

Great service, my husband and I had a lunch date and were able to sit on the porch alone for a while which was lovely. We both had the burgers, very tasty, hot fresh food! The sweet potatoes fries were the best I have ever had! I normally dont eat them but had to try my husband's and they were so good! They had some sugar crystals on them which made them even better! I would definitely come back just to eat those! The jalepeno bacon was very good! One of the best burgers in Columbia!

The food and customer service was EXCELLENT!! We had the fried catfish with fries and colw slaw. The fish was perfectly seasoned and the cole slaw was delicious. The hamburger was delicious. The caramelized onions took the flavor to new heights. We will definitely eat here again.

We're from NC and this place was a good find! Superb food and super-friendly staff. Great place to kill time while eating and talking to family and friends. There's an old building smell but doesn't bother us at all. Highly recommended!

I know I give 5 stars a lot, but this place deserve 5. To start with, this is a must visit burger joint. The burgers are good, and it was cooked how I like it, medium (I know, one day I will get sick from it). The service was good, and our food was out really fast! They also have some of the best fries in town. They also still give an orange slices with your blue moon beer.
One thing to be aware of, this joint gets lots of college kids, especially on Tuesday, and can be really loud. So not a place to go for a quiet date.

One of my favorite burger spots in Columbia, but by far the best thing on their menu is the Fried Green Tomato Napoleon! Perfectly cooked, and it never disappoints! I also recommend the Wadmalaw burger, I get it almost every time I go, however this time I tried one of their weekly specials (a chicken philly) and it was a very solid 9/10. Our server, Max, was excellent as well… he really had a great personality and gave us great customer service.

Thinking that a uga fan, that i would get the nasty eye, but the folks were just awesome, i was impressed by the service and friendliness and just pure lade back and just plain being nice . The food was amazing. Just for you real critics out there want you put yourself in ,"Cam" positive position he is great ambassador for the very young and a great person with strong family ties. When i meet people young lady's and gentlemen i think WOW for X gen passing the tourch and seeing Gen z soar makes me proud and pawleys is a place where they can soar

The food was Amazing! I got a burger with pineapple and guacamole on it, my husband has a burger with pimento cheese if that tells you anything about the variety offered. Absolutely delicious. Even our kids were quite because they were busy enjoying the food! Highly recommend

Friend Green Tomatoes Napoleon are exceptional. Get your own because you won’t want to share. Madlawaw burger and onion rings were very tasty. Great beer option to round out our meal.

Best Sweet Potato Fries EVER ! Burger was good, the Fried Green Tomato BLT was excellent, what a concept to add Fried Green Tomato and Pimento Cheese. Completely different than other sandwiches. Wife loved her buttermilk chicken wrap also. We ate there at lunch so it wasn't busy yet. We had great service and quick, hot food.

What a great burger! I had the fripp island burger with fries. So good!! Guy Fieri ate there so I had to track it down on the way home from Atlanta. Cute island vibe with beach music. Has a huge front porch to enjoy the outside.

Pawley’s was quite a nice surprise. We were allowed to order drinks while we waited for our table, and food took about 45 minutes to come out, due to the fact that the kitchen had a lot of order tickets. Everything tasted fresh and was nice and hot. The Wadmalaw, Isle of Palms, and Sullivan’s burgers were all hits for us. Fried chicken sandwich was pretty decent - chicken was a bit dry but the spicy mayo/mustard(?) made up for it. Our server was very kind as well. If I get another chance to come here, I won’t be passing it up. Thanks, Pawley’s!

Love this place. Great local spot in five points with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The burgers are fantastic, but the wraps aren’t too bad either! Drink specials weekly, and a good spot for our team meetings. 👍👍

Arguably the best burger in town on any given night. Hands down the best burger in town on a Tuesday night (half priced burgers Tuesday 5-8). Arguably best burger period on Tuesday if you factor in value, but expect a crowd. They are my standard comparison when I compare other burger places. Some come close but I haven't really had better. I order the Wadmalaw on the pretzel bun with onion rings. These burgers are special! Juicy, tasty, fresh, cooked right. The Caw Caw Creek burger is my second favorite, sometimes I can't decide which one is better. The onion rings are amazing too. They are like a side of chicken tenders almost. The seasoning on the onion rings is awesome. Try them even if you hate onion rings.

These burgers and fries were absolutely phenomenal! Service was great as well. I will be back soon to try more items on the menu. In my photo is the Wadmalaw burger on a pretzel bun
