Select Specialty Hospital - Memphis

I absolutely love this place .. my daughter is currently at Select Specialty Hospital at the moment.. the Doctors .. the nursing staff the respiratory therapist staff .. the physical therapy staff .. wound care staff .. everyone has really been so sweet going above and beyond doing their job to the best of their ability .. since the first day she made it there .. they treat her like she’s their child .. I feel so comfortable leaving her with them going back in forward to work .. these people were definitely put here for a reason.. it’s like they were sent by God for me .. because I asked God to send my daughter somewhere that they would take good care of her and I wouldn’t have to worry.. keep up the Good work Select Specialty .. you guys are changing lives.. Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart

Grateful for this experience at Select. The staff were warm smiles, friendly personality. The facility was clean and no smells. The Dr & staff were knowable, personal and courteous. It was a great experience for my family. Choose Select Specialist.

My son was at Select two different times. He was well taken care of by everyone. Everyone there was always so nice to me and my son. I stayed with him 24 hrs a day and they made sure I was taken care of as well. Always had nice caring healthcare workers!!!!

We are grateful for the care, attention and help my wife received during her stay. The doctors are very mannerable and not only take the time to explain things, but listen carefully as well. I described Dr. Eberly as a gentle giant. He has very good bedside manners. Dr. Moodisir was very helpful ad well. I cannot remember the cardiologist, but he was on point woth his treatment.
The nurses, medical assistants, respiratory staff and housekeeping worked together to ensure my wife got the needed treatments. Even during her difficult times, the staff successfully worked through them.
The bottom line is, my wife was Successfully weaned from the ventilator. That is a tremendous accomplishment as she had been on the ventilator for about eight (8) years. Thanks for a job well done!!!

My mom was recovering from Covid and came to this hospital for her long term care until she was ready for Rehab. She was there for almost 60 days. This was a very sick woman and the whole medical staff was wonderful. I called once a day to get daily updates on Mom. I never had a problem getting a update. Sometimes her nurse would even call me if I was after 3pm to call and ask. The case manager made sure that I got a face time with my mom every day since there was a no visitation rule while she was there. The case manager stayed on her case and was available when I needed things addressed or questions answered. She is a very knowledgeable individual. I can say that her case manager for sure has compassion for all of her patients. They are very knowledgeable and strive to make sure your loved one is in good hands. The medical staff made good decisions to wean her off the ventilator. She was always clean and any wounds were very well taken care of. All of the nurses were very passionate about my moms care and showed some real compassion in treating her. I am very thankful for this Hospital area that is located inside Methodist University Hospital.

Select specialty Hospital helped my dad to get off of the ventilator, get his trach removed, and eat food again. He got COVID-19 and had to be put in ICU and on a ventilator and tract. It was a scary journey, but after leaving the ICU and transferring to this facility they helped him with all of these things. He is now at the next facility with help to learn how to walk Again and regain his muscle strength as he has been in bed for two months now.

I love this place everyone was so nice they treated my mom like she was their mom they took good care of her she even said she liked all her nurses they always showed love and care and the nurses treated each other like family❤❤❤

Staff was very nice and respectful. We are headed to a rehab facility and I appreciate everything that you guys did for my husband. The Woodall's appreciate everything.

Staff was wonderful. Everyone treated me nicely and made sure I was comfortable. Food was delicious. Physical Therapy is very caring.

Great service and attention to detail

I think every where has pros and cons. My experience overall was not bad. There are a couple of nurses that could not take care of my dog, so for sure not my daughter. I let Erica and Brianna know my concerns and they took care of it immediately. They were great! The great nurses were Nurse Timbo, Deanna, Mary, Colton, Ashley, Angela just to name a few. The CNA's I loved were Latonya, Dory, Kenisha, Nahin, Brenda just to name a few. There is a CNA(Natlin) who really is compassionate and you can tell she loves her job. She has not been my daughter's direct nurse yet, but always comes by to see about her. Ms Lori at the front, desk always made sure I was good.

Now sometimes the communication is really not good. I been told a few different things from case management about staying in front of things, not so sure about that.

Keep in mind that it's important to be proactive in your love ones recovery. When people know you care and not having it any other way they will respect that.

One last thing, the Speech, PT and OT teams are great!

So I want to add on today, February 22, 2024, Dr Muddassir and Erica still looking out for my daughter. People don't have to be nice, so grateful they are!
