Such a gem on the drive between Nashville and Memphis! It was a hot day when we went, but the boardwalk is shaded and cool. The entire walk was peaceful and a great place to stretch our legs on a long drive down I-40. Some reviews mentioned broken boards, but all were repaired when we went.

This is a lovely place to have a date & walk on the boardwalk. There were numerous owls & Hawks to look at in their designated cages. My Husband & I enjoyed the beauty of the woods and the water combo. I hope one day they will upgrade the boardwalks & fix the damaged parts that are blocked off.
But I'd definitely recommend the community checking it out!

This is a very lovely area full of large old cypress trees. The boardwalk is in pretty bad shape and some areas are closed, but this morning there were 4 workmen there preparing to replace the entire boardwalk with pressure treated lumber. Once it is finished it will be a relaxing, tranquil place for anyone to enjoy.

What a great visit even though it was chilly out. A few raptors in the cages, but I suppose 54゚ isn't too cold for them? The walk was a great way to spend an hour this afternoon exploring the place. Can't believe it's free! Very nice!

I understand some of the negative reviews. The grass is grown up, there is some trash, there is some graffiti, some of the boards are rotten, one of the trails is closed, etc... Overall though, my family and I had a very nice time here today. The weather was perfect, the owls and hawks were cool to see, we saw several turtles and fish, and it was just a peaceful and relaxing experience. The walk is flat and easy. It is shaded most of the way. Considering the City of Jackson is completely broke and can't even maintain the paved roads around town, I am very happy to have this little park here. For those complaining, I am sure the city would allow you to volunteer your time to clean and fix things up a bit. If you're looking for a nice, relaxing, peaceful outdoor experience without a long drive, I would recommend this place.

Beautiful park really gives you a close experience with nature. I was not expecting the birds showing experience and also loved the peaceful boardwalk. Recommendd you visit if you're in Jackson, TN. This is how the park looks on January. 💙

Cool nature park! Arrives shortly before closing, but took a quick walk to see the raptors. Boardwalk was a bit slippery due to the recent rain, but it's a peaceful place.

Nice trail through the wet lands on a boardwalk ends up at a small pond...several trails are closed and in need of repair...worth the stop...also have live hawks and owls in outdoor enclosures

We come here every couple of months to visit the birds and get a little exercise in the fresh air. Love how each season has it looking like a whole different place.

What a place to find in town. The boardwalk is a feat in itself. Winding and long with birds of prey exhibits along it.
