Fall of the bone ribs. Wet, dry, glazed doesn't matter they are all amazing. Our favorites were split between the wet and the glazed, the dry just doesn't have the right texture (the flavor was great). We got the ribs for two, it comes with coleslaw, beans toast and ribs. The coleslaw has relish in it which was strange but good. The beans were basic but with the ribs you really don't need much. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Classic Memphis BBQ atmosphere. Service was amazing, but..THE FOOD...was out of this world good. I got the ribs half glazed and half sauced and both were perfect. The ribs weren't overly greasy and we're smoked to perfection. They had a nice smoke ring and were fall-off-the-bone ready

1st time I'd ever heard of BBQ spaghetti! It was surprisingly delicious!
Server recommended the 1/2 and half ribs. This is award winning BBQ folks, so delicious!
And, the baked beans are on a whole other level! WOW!

This place is leggggiittt and delish!! While traveling through the area in @ramona_the_airstream I searched the web for the BEST BBQ in Memphis. Last time through we had Rendezvous, and it was definitely good. However, bar-b-q shop's glazed ribs beat em hands down. SO GOOD!

Also, our server Jerry was awesome. Super kind and incredibly helpful coming up with all kinds of ideas options to help out family get the best bang for our buck with the most food and variety, he was a true gem.

Kids enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and polish sausage sandwich, too. Wife had the chicken was also really good. Our dog, Marley went nuts over the scrap rib pieces!

I also loved the scripture by the bathroom, powerful!

Definitely go here, get the glazed ribs, and be sure to ask for Jerry. You'll have a delightful experience.

Came thru last week on a stopover before visiting family in Chicago. Really lucky to have made this a part of my Memphis experience. Robert was great! He recommended the bbq spaghetti and talked to us about their prized dry and wet rib combo. Holy smokes was the meal so juicy and savory. Makes my mouth water thinking about it.

This was a nice Bar-B-Q spot. First time visiting, and our server was great. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was great for our visit with out of town guest.

We shared the bbq platter- the ribs were amazing. I love pickles so the coleslaw was 5 stars for me

Dude, great freakin' ribs. Learned that a dry rub is far superior and would have never known without trying both. I recommend this place to everyone visiting. The server was friendly and helpful. The energy was very relaxed and I'm glad I stopped by 🙌🏾 thanks!

This place is legendary! I’m told I used to sit in a baby carrier on the floor of this place. Clearly the next generation of customers and the next generation of owners thinks this place has some special barbecue! Thank you for keeping it all going, you’re doing great!

Finally found what I think are the best ribs in Memphis. I’ve been to a few places and they were good, but this place is great. Service amazing, ribs fall off the bone, really tasty sauce and loved the BBQ spaghetti - so unusual!

First time trying out the dry rub glazed rack. I’ll let you look at the photos to determine whether I enjoyed them or not. 🐖

The food was great, and even though we waited 45 minutes for food, it was worth the wait and partially because they were short staff. We had an amazing time.

As one of Southern Living's best BBQ spots in Memphis, we had high expectations. The restaurant did not disappoint. We tried the sample platter, which included ribs, pork, and chicken along with the Shop's iconic "bbq spaghetti." Everything was delicious.

Eugene (?) was our server and he provided excellent service and a bit of history about the place. We can't wait to return for more meals!

Memphis is known for Great BBQ and The Bar-B-Q Shop didn't disappoint. They have something for everyone in the menu. There were five of us who dined together. Each of us ordered something good. Again none of us were disappointed and all of us left stuffed. A must do if you are visiting downtown Memphis TN.

Travel all over the US for work, this takes the cake for best ribs and it’s not really close either. Outstanding

Best BBQ I've ever had, hands down!

I grew up in Texas, have visited every southern state and ate a lot of BBQ in my lifetime but we recently made a trip through Memphis and only had enough time to grab lunch so my daughter saw this place and we decided to give it a try.
The family that runs it was very nice, helpful and they had our order ready for us in no time. We went to the car with the intentions of eating while we started driving again but we took one bite and sat there until we finished because it was just too good. The meat had a smoky flavor that said it had been cooked for a very long time and probably in an old fashioned way. It was very tender and they were generous with the amounts that they put in each sandwich. I have never had a sauce like theirs but it was very tasty and added a lot to the sandwich, which didn't need it but more is better right?
I was very happily surprised by this place and would recommend it to everyone that is going through there. I can't wait for our next road trip because this place will be a stopping point every time now.

Oh god. Finally had some bangin' BBQ in TN. Can't find this stuff anywhere in plain a** Knoxville. Got a full slab, did half dry and half wet. Both equally amazing. I generally do not care for coleslaw but theirs was amazing. The potato salad. Oh yes. How have I never thought to put some Paprika on it before?

I will be revisiting if I'm ever in town for work again. Woulda taken some photos but I jumped right into that goodness. The atmosphere was pretty cool as well.

That place the locals don’t want you to know about. So insanely good. Pull up a church pew and get a rack dry rubbed. Wet is good but the dry rub is outstanding. Sides are delicious too - it’s tough to get baked beans just right but these are. Hit the place at opening Tuesday and Thursday (you may even have to call ahead because they sell out so fast!) for the house specialty tips. You won’t regret the extra effort. Totally amazing and really reasonably priced. Great experience all around.

Stopped by on our drive from Ohio to Texas. The ribs lived up to their reputation as did the sauce. The sweet tea was also awesome as were the slaw and baked beans. 10/10
Eric was super friendly and welcoming as well. We will definitely have to stop back on future road trips.

Only had a few hours in Memphis and had to decide on a single BBQ place to stop by. I was drawn in by the BBQ Spaghetti and boy was I happy that I did. It was delicious. My recommendation is to stick with the ribs for meat. Out of the brisket, chopped pork and ribs, the ribs were by far the best! Had them "muddy" with some dry/wet rub. Soooo good! Service was great too.
