Great bunch of people - very professional and caring

I am the owner of a an advanced technology firm. The firms provides no advice and plays the waiting for you to solve a problem, via email. I fired the firm and found a GREAT accountant that provides answers rather than questions. I generally thing the owners have no idea how to communicate. I complained about the web portal that I have had issues with in the past, I have computer science degree and multiple master's degrees and the receptionist has the audacity to tell me no one has had issues with the webportal---uh I am having issues with it. The final straw came when, even when I asked the owner for a refund because my 2020 taxes were never filed. She gave the "email" defense. Well if you didn't do the work, fine give me my money back so I can pay someone else to do the work. Now I am left to file a lawsuit and file a claim with the better business bureau. Also there was no explanation given why the other partner up and left and another firm "bought into" the new firm -- STAY AWAY unless you need the most basic of taxes filed.

Heads Up! They are not interested in individual tax returns business which is fair, just wish I would have been told that before I paid $225 (non-refundable), prepared my tax information, took time off work and drove there for a 10 minute conversation. The gentleman who just purchased the company quoted me another $400-500 to do my taxes in addition to the $225 I already paid. He said it wasn't worth their time for a one off return for various reasons...I was concerned about my taxes this year because I was an independent contractor for the majority of the year plus W-2 so wanted a professional to help me make sure I was filing properly since I had never been in this situation before. So, $225 later, I am on my own.

DON'T USE! DON'T USE! DON'T USE! They WILL charge you over the agreed amount. I was with them for a couple years and was tired of being charged over what the agreed amount was. I first moved my payroll from them over to quickbooks and found out they were charging me over 4x the amount of taxes I should have been charged. Then after six months into 2020 they went through the whole year budget and didn't work from then on and now I'm left doing the work they were paid to do. Don't let them do your taxes, your books or payroll. These ladies don't care about their customers, its all about how much more they can charge you. I was on the phone with them talking about how I expected them to honor our agreement and not bill my account again for over our agreed price and I was shocked to hear one of them filing their nails on the call like I was not as important as their nails and that they weren't working anymore on my books unless I paid more. Completely disappointed with how much money they cost my business and their professionalism. They are ready to tell you how "well your business is doing" as long as it's about them charging more. My business runs around 45-60 transactions a month through my bank account and maybe 1-2 transactions a day on my business credit card. No other accounts. Not a lot of work. Don't trust or use them.

My taxes are not overly complicated. The total was $1,235 to do my taxes for 2018! I lived in Ohio prior to moving to this area and paid between $600 and $700 the last 3 years to have my taxes done and that was at two different accounting firms. I also have had difficulty with getting them to return messages that I left for them. I'll be looking for better pricing elsewhere to get my taxes done next year.

I’m not a CPA, but I caught 2 errors and had them correct it. They then proceeded to charge me for fixing their errors. Too expensive for too many self errors. Update: I’m still awaiting a refund for the hours I paid to correct your mistake.
