Northeast Baptist Church

I found this congregation of believers to be very warm, friendly and quite engaging. I was generously welcomed and felt immediately at ease with them. The pastor Jerry is a wonderful man of God and his wife Glenda just shines.

I don’t know where a previous reviewer went to church but I have been going to Northeast Baptist since moving to the area 8 years ago. Never have I heard people gossip and criticize another member. My experience has always been that there is a spirit of caring and compassion. People are friendly and welcoming to newcomers. If people are ill, had surgery or lost a loved one, we go out of our way to help them in any way needed. Some need meals for a week or two or just some companionship for a while. We will pray for anyone in need and they are never required to share the reason for requesting prayer. They may ask an unspoken request.
What a shame that this young man sees Northeast Baptist in such a negative light. Northeast Baptist is a Bible believing and Bible teaching church. If you are going to church for spirit nourishing bread and receiving a stone, I highly recommend Northeast Baptist. You will receive a warm welcome, an invitation to receive Jesus as your personal savior and Bible teaching to renew and refresh your spirit.

I love this church! The people are a wonderful, loving and giving congregation. They love the Word of God and are serious about their worship and service to the Lord!

A place where gossip runs wild. Now I realize on Google maps it's not your common circumstance to run into someone that will hold a church accountable. I will. It's A church meaning to worship God yet they chew each other up with gossip . The reason I left a long while back yet I gave it another chance and the moment I did my sins are being announced right in front of the congregation. Obviously it was known I wasn't too thrilled about that. No one called to see that was going on. I know a widow that went there, she said their gossip made her feel very uncomfortable. So she quit going, sweet lady. Very sweet lady. They never call on their widows to check to see how they are doing. They never bring the sick up to the altar to pray over them. Heck years ago a circumstance occurred that I didn't feel comfortable sharing with the church knowing their gossip issue was severe. So I quit going....I had been going there over a year . Not once did they call to see what was happening. They didn't call the sweet widow either. It seems as though they are so sensitive as to not try to find out why people are leaving. The congregation was so much smaller this time I attended. The son of the pastor is a wreck. He used to try to tempt the congregation with things he wore. From what Russell Little told me anyway. In the one year I went there is so many people in that church that Russell would gossip about it's ridiculous. I don't even want to know the stuff he told me. Just ridiculous gossip. This guy has no grill whatsoever on sharing things that people might want it kept from the congregation. This guy was gossipping about me right after my wife died. I thought this guys addiction has served him for many years. Now it's time for the public to be forewarned should they attend and check the rates on here. This guy is horrible and had no intent on truly making amends. He was posting arrogant sarcastic posts on his Facebook the day of. This same guy gossipped HORRIBLY about this sweet widow. Gossipped even to me about her. What he said was shocking that he would even share it. Can't imagine how many people he gossipped about her to. It's a complete shame and by conscience nothing is being done
