Loved the peppery seasoning. A lot of places lack that. Chicken was moist. Brisket wasn't dry. They did cut the brisket a little too thick, would like the brisket a little thinner. Jalapeño sausage was great and spicy!

Whenever we're in the area and craving BBQ, we'll come here!

Definitely a best of Austin area barbecue, excellent quality meat really nice service and interior that just has tons of cultural legacy.

The ribs were amazing with a great smoke ring. The jalapeno sausage was juicy and crispy at the same time with just enough spice to let you know it's there. Get the fattier brisket, and it will melt on your plate. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and the butter beans were top notch!!

The brisket melted in my mouth, and the pulled pork was delicious too. Fairly priced. Rustic atmosphere. I loved every bite and will definitely be going back.

We drove from Dallas to Austin for our Thanksgiving meats! Turkey, brisket, and sausage and our homemade sides made our meal outstanding. Thank you to the Schmidt family and team for a fantastic job. Well done!

This was an amazing place to have our sons rehearsal dinner! The staff were so friendly and helpful! The food was amazing. Highly recommend !!

All of the meats are very good, especially the pork spare ribs. Sides are pretty standard. Banana pudding is excellent.

Great poblano cream corn, very good brisket I like the new seasoning. Pork chops look amazing, but I had my heart set on brisket today.
Prices were cheaper than my normal bbq choice where i live across town. I Made the hour long trip for the brisket! Great atmosphere. Will come again

AMAZING barbecue served by friendly folks who really care about you. Real ambiance, too--I walked in today, and the smell was incredible! You won't regret eating here.

I am partial to the brisket, but everything is delicious. The sides are good, too; I like the creamed corn.

The barbecued turkey at Thanksgiving is terrific! That's all we ever serve now.

I don't understand all the bad reviews on here. Generally they get sold out so show up earlier!

I love stopping here when I can, especially if I'm by myself or with my dad. It's also really big inside so plenty of seating, even at lunch time. We love all their food, but I'm especially fond of their chicken plates. My boys love the food too, so that is a plus for me as well. I think it is priced very fairly and you never leave hungry.

Excellent BBQ, location and service! The brisket, Kruez sausage, mac & cheese, scalloped potatoes, poblano creamed corn were all extremely flavorful. We wrapped our meal sharing delicious banana pudding and pecan pie - from the famous Texas Pie Co. in Kyle. I’m not sure why it closes at 6PM on a weeknight given how good the food was and it’s a nice large restaurant in a high traffic area at Hill Country Galleria. This was our first time here and we’ll definitely be back. I would encourage others to support this business! 😋👏🏼👏🏼

As a born and raised Austinite, this place has earned it's stars and stripes.
Incredibly seasonined meats with a not too so sweet BBQ sauce.
Services was 10/10

I didn't expect a $74 bill for two people, but the BBQ was great!

The staff was amazing, They recommended the best sides, and I was delighted by the experience. The only reason why the atmosphere was ranked lower is because I went at an off time. So there was not really any atmosphere. I will be back, though, and I recommend them highly for BBQ

Just had their Wednesday special brisket meatloaf, and it is fantastic! Moist and rich, tasty, especially with the special meatloaf sauce (different from their BBQ sauce). Call in,y'all, on Wednesday, and treat yourself!
