Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Birmingham Downtown

The location was perfect for what we needed. We were there for a bachelorette night for my daughter. The entire staff was so helpful. Seriously a difficult treat to find these days. Shaun at the front desk was my hero. She got us into our room in time to decorate and surprise my daughter. Shaun “understood the assignment”. Props to her! The valet team were all so full of energy and were always helpful and easy to chat with. I couldn’t boast more about my experience.

My wife and I stayed here for the Yellawood 500 at Taladega and our wedding anniversary.
Hotel is super easy to get to from the interstate and parking is quick. There is an excellent valet service at the door which I can't recommend enough.
Rooms were very modern and clean with an enormous tv and fully equipped bathroom.
The price was spot on and excellent value. There is plenty to walk around and see near the hotel.

Great stay & location for the time I was there. Comfortable bed & pillows. Clean room & restroom. Love the glass shower & the full sized bottles of body wash, shampoo & conditioner. It is very convenient if you forget to bring your own. The front desk associates were friendly & helpful. The valet was quick, courteous & helpful with my bags as well. Just be advised that the valet cost is charged to your room, but you still should tip the workers. There's a link you are given once you leave the valet to request your car & you can tip through the app if you don't have cash available at the time.

From my arrival to my departure, this was an amazing stay. Mr. Boles really went over and beyond to ensure that the stay of my family and I was one of the best experiences ever. From remembering my face and name to even just share some of favorite spots in the area. The staff was simply phenomenal and I’m sorry wasn’t able to recall everyone’s name but a job well done from this seasoned traveler.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, good shower, soft comfy bed... I only stayed one night and didn't eat there or experience the area much but the hotel was a nice resting place during a quick work trip.

We always stay at the Downtown Fairfield when we travel to Birmingham. The location is so convenient for us, and the staff is so nice and inviting. Carolyn at the front desk is always so pleasant and welcoming, and we look forward to seeing her. All staff members we have encountered have been very helpful and accommodating.

Ended up booking a room last minute on a Saturday night and the very friendly and extremely helpful front desk clerk Jerandy made sure I was taken care of and even held a pizza at the front desk for me I had to order while out in the city. The hotel was great but her customer service was the highlight.

Corey and his staff have been so kind and helpful. They are the very definition of southern hospitality. This hotel is gorgeous! I’m already enjoying my stay this weekend. We will definitely be back here.

Here for an event. Can shortages of awesome humans to alleviate no soap in the bathroom and back up at the checkin desk it has the potential to be an upscale place. Their humans seemed to be continuoslt called overwhelm which should equal recognition and abomuses fir showing up and do other folks work pls their own. Though there's a valet only squeeze of a parking lot where a parking garage should live ID hang out with people I care about and enjoy awesomeness in walking distance all over again!

The staff was very nice and so was our room. The hotel has a valet service which is good because parking was difficult to find.it costs 30.00 a day with multiple in and outs included with the fee. Everything was pretty close to the hotel so we could walk. I enjoyed the breakfast they served. They had waffels, sausages, coffee, yogurt, and more. . We will stay here again for sure

Super nice place to stay, on 21st checked in both front desk associates very nice and over the top friendly. Rooms are large/beautiful, breakfast delicious super large strawberries, good orange juice. High recommend.

Came for a few days for a soccer game. Nice hotel besides the street racing at night. Very loud. Staff is very friendly

This is the only place we will be staying at in Birmingham. The staff was so kind and helpful as we dealt with our flight delays. We felt very welcome. The room itself was spotless and very comfortable. I also really appreciate the snacks and microwave dinners available downstairs because there weren’t many places open for a late dinner. There were plenty of walkable places for breakfast and lunch though. We will definitely be staying again.

ALL the staff was amazing. The valet gentlemen were so professional and caring. When I am in Birmingham again for the weekend I will ONLY stay at this hotel. The location is close to everything. Even when busy they addressed all our needs in a timely manner. Thank you so much!

Had a great week at this hotel. I realized once I had gotten to the airport that I had left my airpods at the hotel 🤦‍♂. I called the front desk at 11am on Friday and a super helpful female employee went up to the room and located them. She tagged them in an envelope with my colleagues name on them so he could pick them up for me.

Thank you so much for the hospitality!! Might have had the worst travel day in my 10 years of being a traveling frequently for work. I just arrived 8 hours after schedule, missed the first day of my meetings and when i got here we realized we double booked under two different rates and didn’t pre-pay the room like we thought. (Our hotel is in the process of being sold and we already submitted the expenses under my boss’s card, you have no idea how much of a nightmare this would have been!) If this was in NYC, it would have ended in me finally breaking down after a day of cancelled flights, lost baggage, late cars, cancelled lifts, cancelled super shuttles, gate changes, ETC ETC ETC -all I wanted to do was shower. the GM here came right out and saw I was stressed and fixed everything so quickly I felt the anxiety immediately melt away. No idea why she is here so late but SO HAPPY SHE IS!! You have no idea how much I appreciated that, thank you so much!! The hotel is beautiful, clean, brand new and great location. Definitely recommend to everyone!!

I highly recommend this hotel!!! I have stayed at many hotels in the Birmingham area over the last 2 years & this place is my favorite stay! The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, valet parking was wonderful, & the full breakfast bar was another added bonus! But what really set this establishment apart from the rest is the integrity of the staff! I wore a diamond tennis bracelet on this trip ( an anniversary gift from my husband). I wore it the morning I left the hotel. I ran several errands after I left before I realized my bracelet was missing. I returned to the hotel hours later to search for it & discovered that the front desk was holding it for me. Apparently it fell off my arm as I was leaving the hotel. What a great staff! We exchanged hugs when I left! This will be my “home away from home” whenever I visit Birmingham!
