SpringHill Suites by Marriott Birmingham Downtown at UAB

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and clean. And great location. Absolutely no complaints!

From the time I arrived until I departed April made sure myself and my family were well taken care of. From recommending local attractions to providing directions to the nearest grocery store. April always greeted us with a smile and warm presence. Tameka was amazing as well. From greeting me by name to even reaching out to me as my aunt was having a panic attack in the lobby. She was very comforting and empathetic. Overall I could not have asked for a better stay.

I was in town last month for the NABJ Conference and stayed here. It's a very nice hotel. I slept great. My room was nice and clean, and I had great service. I used the hotel shuttle quite a bit from the airport and around the downtown area. Keelie was great getting me wherever I needed to go and had such a fun attitude! Great service.

The hotel is close to the UAB medical center. The room was clean and large. Tameka the rep at the front desk was very nice and helpful. I had a great stay and will stay again when in the area.

Pleasantly surprised. Travel for a living and city hotels tent to be, let’s say lacking, on hospitality and service. Not here. Every single person…and I mean everyone was absolutely friendly and not in the fake I’ll get written up if I’m not type of friendly. Just genuinely friendly…and accommodating. Almost over top accommodating. They have helped me in every way and for every request. Hotel is maintain well. Value is good. Very close to UAB Hospital. Area is safe. To the management, well done. You’ve hired the right folks. Keep them by taking care of them, they are making you and Marriott look great.

Had a great experience. We went downstairs to get extra pillows and blankets and April at the front desk gave the kids complimentary snacks. Quick check in, clean, and every one was super nice.

Nice rooms. Customer service was great. Location is walking distance to food but we ordered Door Dash.

Me and my wife stayed overnight here on August 17 and it was amazing. Beautiful hotel and beautiful property. Truly nice people. We will be back

Great hotel. Me and two of my friends stayed there this weekend for a night and they were very accommodating. The front desk lady mistakenly checked us into the wrong room at first, but she quickly fixed the situation by putting us in a room on the top floor. Parking deck can be confusing a bit, but what parking deck isn’t? Clean hotel and will stay there again when I come back to UAB to visit!

Perfect location!!!! I mean I would pay an extra $20 a night just to stay here, then I would save $20 and stay somewhere else, because you're going to spend that gas going everywhere else... just stay here, park once and walk everywhere here. This place is great the rooms are cleaned the people are great this is a wonderful location to safe location and it's in middle

Very good experience, had back surgery done at UAB hospital, which was conveniently around the corner. No complaints, service was great, even had new sheets on the second night. One thing that stuck out to me in the rooms, they had a full bottle (32oz) of each: shampoo, conditioner, and soap on the wall in the shower. Very nifty

Great stay thanks to hotel staff and location. We especially want to say thanks to Aquila, Tameka, Kendra and Chante. A very special thanks to the ladies who prepared breakfast and were so cordial. This hotel is centrally located which made getting around Birmingham easy.

I spoke with Lori at Customer service tonight and she was incredible. Made the impossible possible for me. I'd give her 10 stars if I could. Thank you so much!!!This is exactly why I love Marriott.

The staff were wonderful - helpful and kind! The room was great. I had the room for 3 weeks. Was within a short walk of UAB medicine. It was and is a great place to stay!

Had a great stay, bed was comfortable & I must boast about the free breakfast & Chef Donna who is very hospitable, polite & can throw down in the kitchen. Civil rights historic sites are in close proximity if you want to visit.
I would definitely return

Beautiful rooms and comfortable beds. You saved us after a booking at another hotel was not held for us. Courteous staff and the breakfast was very good with a lot of variety.

My sister and I met here. Best hotel stay ever. The rooms were very nice. EVERY staff member was pleasant and friendly. We have already decided we'll be meeting there again for other sister trips! We will stay there again.

Love this place! We used to hop around hotels in the area and now we only stay here.

Centrally located in perhaps the most pedestrian part of Birmingham. You can get to the airport, watch a Baron/USFL/NBA D-League game, have a nice dinner and take the family to Railroad Park all within a 10 minute walk or drive.

The other part I love and perhaps I should have mention first is the staff. Be prepared being greeted with a smile and “how you doing?” by everyone on staff. It’s a nice adjustment if you’re a frequent traveler. Mr. Curtis and Frankie are always pleasant to see…probably because the kids love them.

I left valuable items by accident once and the GM personally handed them to me as soon as I walked in. I’ve been to this hotel before but it just feels different lately…in a positive way. I know my kids would vouch for that. I’d love it even more if they added a kitchen and bar!! 😍
