Birmingham Family Dental Services

I have been going to BFD for years since relocating to Birmingham. They always take care of me and have my dental health up to par! Dr.Swicord did the last of my dental work today by doing dental bonding! They turned out beautifully and were affordable. I'm always happy with the service I receive and will continue to be a regular patient here.

I’ve been utilizing this dental practice since 1995 and I even moved 1.5 hours away and still I’m making my way across town for them to take care of my dental needs. They’re courteous, professional and does an exceptional job, every time. Dr. Swicord, he’s the best. 😊 They simply are the real deal. The staff never disappoints, go for a great experience.

I was among a very large group of patients waiting for emergency dental care on a busy holiday weekend. I noticed how friendly and kind each staff member treated each and every patient. Due to the large number of patients, there was a very long wait. But the five attending doctors and staff saw each patient in record time. I was given adequate time for my treatment with caring doctor and staff. As an emergency patient, I felt I was given excellent care.

This was my second time coming here, I would highly recommend. The staff is super nice and professional. They take care of you here. I’ve found my new dentist home.! And I drive about 45 minutes to get here.

I just left here with my daughter who had to have an emergency root canal. I cannot express how pleased I am with this office. For one, they are open 7 days a week but most importantly, the dentist and the hygienist were absolutely amazing. Not only will I will be bringing my daughter back here but I will be making this my new dentist as well.

I love this clinic! Best dental clinic I have been to. Got my teeth cleaned yesterday and they look soooo good! The hygienist took her time thoroughly clean my teeth and even did a double check just to make sure she got all of the debris. Staff is friendly. Makes you feel like you're not afraid to go to the dentist. Highly recommend this clinic!

Had an emergency over the weekend. Needed a root canal on a Sunday this was the only place open got there at 9am. The place was packed but all the staff were extremely helpful and kept everything moving. Chris did my root canal and everything went great.

As someone who walked in for an unscheduled appointment, for an emergency.. the wait was reasonably long.
The dentist and hygienist (not sure if that’s correct terminology) were unbelievably amazing! The place is worth the wait

What an excellent dental experience!! The search to get a tooth extracted began with inquiries via email. Unlike so many establishments, there was a prompt and detailed response from BFDS. During the office visit, the staff, from point of entry to the end, was courteous and professional. Dentistry has become a commodity and service is at a premium. BFDS continue to offer a service that is excellent and affordable. THANK YOU!!

It was great!!!! I had a bit of anxiety going in based off my previous dentist. But my entire experience was awesome and far beyond expected and everything I was hoping for. Fast, friendly, respectful, skilled. I normally feel like I am listening to a used car sales pitch at the dentists. 🙂LOVE THIS DENTIST🙂 Two visits & no laundry lists or trendy new procedures recommended. A very good experience

All of the staff that I met today at the Birmingham Family Dental Service was quite impressive. I observed the way they treated each patient that came in. Very friendly, pleasant attitude, helpful, and attentive to questions asked. I will return.

The best dental experience I've ever had! I had come in knowing I needed some extractions, and they saw me right away. I got 4 extractions in a matter of minutes and was out before lunch. Thankfully my insurance was great so the cost wasn't too high. All the staff was super friendly and professional and I'll be recommending everyone to go there from now on. They were very receptive to my pain levels and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I've never been so impressed!

Was in terrible pain and needed a root canal done. Fortunate to have Dr. H. Grady Swicord do the procedure. Have had a number of root canals done in the past from my reg dentist. He performed the procedure with no pain on my part. Recovery was great. His dental assistant was the best I've ever encountered. I was so impressed with Dr Swicord that I may switch from the dentist I've used for 40 yrs and use him permanently. Just cant say enough how pleased I was with the whole center. Smooth process.

This office was exceptional, from the front desk to the dentist, every part of my visit was pleasing and much needed for my pain. I felt like I mattered in an area where that is lacking in the industry. To the staff, you have my deep founded admiration. I am proud to say that you are now my office of choice. I can't say enough nice things about them. I had some teeth pulled today and the doctor and his assistant were both so sweet. They're also willing to work with you to get a treatment plan started to fix your smile they actually care about their patients

We absolutely love Dr. Powers. My daughter and I have both used her for our dental treatment plan. She literally is awesome. Best dentist we've used.

I woke up with excruciating pain on a Friday morning. The right side of my mouth was hurting. They we’re currently closed but I submitted a request by email and was contacted within the hour. Since I was a walk-in I was told to be there at 8:30. The waiting room was full so I expected to be there a good while. However, by 9:30 was back in a room and was seen by the doctor. Fortunately it was nothing serious and they were able to take care of the problem immediately. The doctor, dental assistant and hygienist were incredibly nice and very professional. I get very anxious when going to the dentist but they all made me feel very comfortable. Kelsie was great! The entire staff was top notch. I’ve finally found a dentist that I feel comfortable with. Highly recommended Birmingham Family Dental.

This is an excellent dental office. I wish that I had visited this place years ago and I'm grateful that they were able to help restore my dental health with such helpful care and confidence.
