If I could, I would give Samantha Eversole and Wheelhouse Salon more than 5 stars! Samantha is a true artist that takes the time to listen to my wants/needs and has the talent and ability to make my hair dreams a reality. She’s always professional, always on time, and always make me feel comfortable during my visit. Samantha has been my stylist for over four years and I’ve never felt better about my hair.

I was looking for someone who could give me a new look. I came across Wheelhouse Salon in Birmingham. I’ve had the same basic cut for about four years. Felt like I needed a change. But, as an almost 52 year old man, not a lot to work with given that I have some hair thinning.

In the picture is PJ. My first visit, which was earlier this month, I told PJ that I wanted to change it up a little bit. I was thrilled with what he did. I honestly didn’t know that I could change it as much as he did, and as much as I did.

The first picture is a before picture the basic style of haircut I get. The second picture is after the first cut. And the last two pictures are before and after today’s cut.

It’s not often that I have the confidence in a hair artist like I do PJ. I call him an artist because he had very little work with, and was able to absolutely thrill me with what he did. I love the result.

If you are in the Birmingham area and you’re looking for someone to give you something new and fresh, PJ is the guy. Not only is he good at what he does, but he is an incredible human. I talk a lot. And, not only does he listen, but he engages so well in conversation. He is such a good soul.

It is rare to find all of these qualities in someone when you get your haircut. He is top rated, and, the staff, the environment, and everything about Wheelhouse salon makes a visit there so enjoyable. Kudos to everyone, especially to you, PJ. Thanks.

Rebekah gave me by far the absolute best haircut I’ve ever been given, at an incredibly affordable price. Incredibly engaging, very skilled, and very good at understanding what I wanted to do with my hair. The atmosphere of Wheelhouse was so relaxed and everyone who worked there seemed happy to be there. 10/10, would recommend.

Since moving to Birmingham I’ve been looking for a hair stylist and Melynda blew it out of the park! I was prepared with pictures and videos of the haircut I wanted and expected an extensive consultation. I was so happy all I had to do was explain my hair goal and she absolutely nailed it after a 5 minute consultation. I walked out and instantly got compliments, if you are looking for a happy stylist who clearly knows what she’s doing, Melynda is my #1 choice!

Angelika is a master, there really just is no one better I’ve ever been to. If you are looking for a transformation and need someone who’s incredible with extensions, color, cut and able to bring all of that into a polished and exceptional final look, then you want Angelika. She is the type of stylist who can be trusted with a big challenge and handle it flawlessly.

Angelika was SO wonderful! I went for pretty big chop and she did such an amazing cut. I’m so in love with my new hair! She got exactly what vibe I was going for and was very informative on how to maintain and style my new hair. She was also so kind and sweet—just like the rest of the staff! I can’t wait to come back! :)

I will never ever trust anyone to style my hair like Madelyn does. She is also so sweet and easy to talk to. If you want the best hair of your life, you must see Madelyn for all your hair needs! just trust me !!

Madelyn does amazing color, exact blonde I want... recently went to Amber bc of scheduling-conflicts and she gave me one of the best textured bobs I've had in almost a decade. I'm kind of obsessed and into my hair being shorter again. Great color, too!

Rebekah Brown has done an amazing job on my hair. She’s been doing my hair a little over a year now. We started with the typical root touch ups. She then told me I needed to trust her and let her do some grey blending. Let me just say, I’m glad I listened to her because my hair is the best it’s been. I love not only the color but the cut. Rebekah, thank you so much!!

Got my very first haircut ever with Wheelhouse and they have been my go-to ever since! The staff has been consistently amazing. Emily, Leah, Carlee and Rebekah are amazing stylists and i’m so grateful for how open and welcoming everyone is there! So much love for this place <3

Wheelhouse salon was a great experience! Amber did an amazing job with my hair. It’s been a long time since I’ve had my hair done and her friendly personality put me quickly at ease. She washed, cut, and styled my hair with such care and attention to detail. She also was so easy to talk to and made the time fly by. High recommend!

I came in with a mess of a hair having tried coloring it myself . I had 3-4 different tones.
I was looking to do a honey golden blonde and Madelyn gave me just that. She corrected my color and gave me the best looking blonde Ive ever had. She’s an excellent colorist and not only do I look great, but I feel great. Thank you Madelyn. Been wondering where you’ve been all my life.

I am surprised that I have not written a review for this place, despite the fact that I have been a customer there since couple is years. PJ Santiago is the star, he does a very detail oriented job. He is in short a perfectionist, he would not be satisfied till he feels you got the best hair and beard cut. Always makes sure to spend time and listens and is very talented.
Joanna the manager in the front is awesome always make sure the whole experience at wheel house is well managed and such a happy and positive person. Hands down a highly highly recommended place.

Clean friendly fun atmosphere! Madelyn does my hair and she does it with so much care! She really takes time to listen and understand what you want! I have Baby fine hair that is prone to breakage. It is naturally dark brown but I like it blonde. When Madeline does my hair I have minimum fall out and my hair still looks so healthy!! Really happy with the color she achieves as well! What she does is an art and she truly is a creative Artist! Absolutely love Her and this salon!!!!

Madelyn at Wheelhouse Salon is the absolute best! I have been with her for over three years now and her attention to detail is impeccable! I have loved every cut, and color I have gotten with her over the years, and every session is such a delight ❤

Taylor gave me a Thick Cut and conditioned my hair. I've not had a lot of good experiences with haircuts at regular salon because of my curly hair, but Taylor was really great.
