The YARD Birmingham

This restaurant is a part of the Elyton Autograph Hotel. The food was really good. I had the short ribs which were tender and flavorful, the grits were perfect, and the collard greens were great! I enjoyed every bite. My husband had the burger and fries. I tried this and it was juicy and flavorful.

Cocktails were great too! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall a wonderful dinner

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!

The seasonal specialty cocktails were fabulous. I had the Autumn Manhattan (cinnamon, nutmeg, spiced cherry). My wife had the Ascent Old Fashioned (cherry, orange , brown sugar).
We split the roasted radicchio and pear salad-Fabulous.
We also split the daily special which was Fabulous. Herb encrusted halibut served on a bed of purple risotto and shaved Brussel sprouts with a turmeric cream sauce.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
My fiancé took me here for one of our date nights and it was amazing. The atmosphere, setting, location and overall experience was exceptional. The menu options are vast (it’s never the same so I appreciate that), and their drink menu is vast as well. Our food was delicious as well as our dessert. Our waitress was real attentive and informative. We are returning when we have the time.

The food was good. Had a unique flair to it. For example, the fried okra is not the cut up, breaded and fried. Instead the okra was sliced and fried. It was really good. The Salmon was the best! I waited at the bar as they prepared the food. The bartender was fun, talkative and kind. Service was good and the food was better. I highly recommend eating here. Came back to different people and even nicer crew. They have Southern hospitality done right!!

My husband had the red snapper and he said it was delicious. I had the New York Stip with fingerlings. We both had drinks. It was $225. They were running a 5 course meal special for $100 per person. We probably should have took that route because just ordering off of the menu did not seem like an option. We stayed there and ate because we didn't feel like going back out and it was late. Portion sizes were large. The service was great but the menu was very limited. I was a bit disappointed but the awesome breakfast the next morning made up for it! A full breakfast (bacon, conecuh sausage, cheddar grits, huge biscuit with fresh preserve and butter, two eggs and potatoes for $16 a piece on a $50 room credit. It was delicious!

Amazing experience, went today with a group of lady’s for a bridal shower and everything was perfect. Very elegant and exactly what I was looking. Food delicious I order the Spicy chicken biscuit sandwich (I think that’s what it’s called) and totally recommend it. Very nicely decorated plates. Will be back for our next event. Amazing service as well

I stay at this hotel often for work so it is nice to have the restaurant attached. Kayle is awesome!! Incredible service every time. Food is consistent.

Unique cocktails, and tasty meals. Rainbow trout had the perfect amount of spice. Credit to whoever created cocktail menu as it had some interesting options. Berry cobbler was exceptional.

I dined here alone for Sunday brunch. The staff were helpful and friendly; the hostess served me because the wait staff was busy and she did an excellent job. The food was delicious—perfect portions and perfect flavor. I’m not one for biscuits and gravy but it came with my meal, and wow it was amazing. Grapefruit mimosa was amazing as well! Not super busy on a Sunday, definitely a hidden gem of the birmingham brunch scene.

The food was good and the service was fantastic. We enjoyed a quiet dinner in a great atmosphere. It’s located in the lobby of the hotel with a bar attached to the restaurant.

Such a pleasant surprise. Great experience. Whitney, our server, added the extra layer of Southern hospitality to cap our evening. Highly recommend.

Was a great, quiet and delicious experience. It did take a few minutes for our server to come to the table but that was ok we enjoyed sitting and talking about the restaurants features and weren't in a hurry to be rushed out the door like most places do. Our server was great! He was kind, social and provided great service. The food was delicious. The flavors were out of the ordinary but went well together and tasted amazing we really enjoyed our meal.

I do wish all restaurants would have high chairs even if it's not a typical place for children other than that it was great!

I was here this fall Vlogging for my YouTube Foodie Channel- TASTE and the CITY with Nik!! I chose outside seating as it was the "Eat in the Streets" event on 20th that weekend. The service was great!! Everyone was so friendly and professional! From the hostess, to my server and especially the bartender! I ordered the Short rib Poutine as a small plate for my entree to my surprise it was very filling for 2 people actually. It was delicious indeed! Pictured below is the second drink I ordered that night, the Hutton's Handiwork it had dark rum in it and nutmeg with lime juice also. It had an amazing taste to it!! This venue is really nice on the inside very chill and casual but still nice. I really enjoyed the available outside seating that night it gave a different ambience to my whole experience! Amazing atmosphere! Delicious menu... everything was awesome! A must do in Birmingham!!

The prices made my eyes water but I got over it and ordered the salmon. It was very simply prepared but one of the best pieces of salmon I’ve ever had. How do chefs get their fish cooked but still completely moist throughout? Maybe it’s low temperature roasting. In any case it was fantastic and served hot as was the rice pilaf that accompanied it with green beans and Brussels sprouts mixed in. The rice was completely separate and fluffy. How dey do dat? Excellent.
