Very cool hotel. Inviting smell in lobby. Attentive friendly front desk. Beautiful staircase in entrance. Elevators remind you of the history and heritage of the building. Cozy rooms with funky furniture. Comfortable beds. Would recommend!

The rooftop experience while watching the sunset was amazing! We then enjoyed the restaurant downstairs and Julie our waitress was phenomenal! The ambiance of the place was a delightful experience. The braised rib was so delicious and we ended the night with the apple bread pudding. 5 stars for this evening and experience!!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Bar on the rooftop was wonderful. I will never forget David the bartender he was very lively and exhibited great customer service and entertainment. I will be back again not only for the ambience of the rooftop but also to have David serve me my drinks with a positive attitude and great taste!

This hotel is simply put amazing. Very modern finishes and look on the heaviest corner on earth in Birmingham. The historical building it is in is gorgeous. The rooftop bar is amazing and the rooms are well appointed.

Cute hotel within walking distance of plenty of great restaurants. Lobby has a beautiful, formal feel while rooms have a cheap-posh feel (like a moxy hotel) but room was comfortable and quiet. Good service at the desk as well. Would stay again

** update: stayed a second time and the thermostat was SO bright I could not sleep. Notified the desk but perhaps something to cover it for future guests/stays?

The staff was VERY nice! The rooms were updated, clean, nice and comfortable. The location was convenient to the event we were attending, but I'm not sure how convenient it is to other popular parts of Birmingham... we had to wait quite a while for an Uber/Lyft!

had a great holiday weekend at the historic elyton downtown. it was beautifully decorated for christmas, they are dog friendly, and the service was top drawer. it sat near the railroad park/greenway so easy access to walk the dogs. it was around the corner from alabama theatre and shu shop (asian fusion) too. we'll be back.

This property is fantastic! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern with a historical feel that really fits the hotel. We really enjoyed this property.

This hotel in the heart of downtown Birmingham has been decked out in the fanciest retro decor imaginable. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and convenient to shopping, restaurants, and the airport. The staff goes above and beyond to make lodger's stays positive. The rooms are large and roomy, stocked with bathrobes, iron, safe, coffee machine, fridge, etc. the beds are comfy. Iced citrus water and coffee are also provided in the lobby. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at The Elyton for our 20th Anniversary. This place was absolutely beautiful. We were upgraded to a corner suite. The room was nice, clean and very luxurious. The beds were nice and comfortable and the amenities were top notch. The dinner at the Yard was great with large portions. We had a $50 food credit that covered our breakfast and it was amazing. The service was awesome! Everyone from Valet to restaurant waiter (Q), the chef to the front desk and on the roof top staff were all so professional. This was one of the most enjoyable experiences that I have ever had. I don't regret my stay. If you are looking for a great place to to celebrate a special occasion then this is the place to be. Thanks to the staff for making our day so special ❤

Stayed here for a wedding and a nice hotel. We ended up getting a room off the main street and glad we did. The room ended up being a little bigger and didn't hear all the cars on the main road.

I would recommend to opt for the bigger room because the guest room is small. But other than that it was great

I travel for work and spend more time in hotels than in my own place.
This is a great hotel all around , my bed was amazingly comfortable , USB outlets throughout and the bathroom was updated and modern.
The entire staff couldn't be more kind , proffesional and accommodating .
Dominique and Latara at the front desk are exceptional hosts who make you feel right at home.
As a business traveler this is more than welcome.
The only thing I feel missing is a guest business center though the ladies at the front desk were very helpful in this regard.

One of the most beautiful upscale hotels that I have ever stayed. I needed a quiet get away, which was perfect. However, the rooftop bar and the restaurant is great for a great time. So has the best of both worlds. Dominique was so caring. I was thankful for her hospitality. All the front desk reps were great, even when i needed something in the middle of the night. Valet had a staff issue, the lot is next to the hotel which made it easy for me to just get and park my car. Overall it was an amazing experience. Thankful I chose to stay there.

This hotel is 5 stars all the way! We checked in late on Thursday 12/8/22. The lady who checked us in was so helpful and friendly. The lobby was beautiful. The hotel is one of the most unique hotels we’ve seen. Our room was clean and luxurious. The staff from valet, bellhop, and housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Management should be so prof their staff! We will be back!

We are locals to the area, but want to get stay in the city. The safe was so warm and kind. The rooms were nice and clean. The outer beauty of the hotel was enough to win us over, but the lobby smelled so good and we were greeted with a warm atmosphere. 10/10

Everyone I encountered at the front desk was super helpful and polite! The valet guys were also very courteous and helped us out with our u-haul we had with us.

Hotel itself is very chic. Beds comfy and rooms quiet. The bar on the upper deck has a nice location but the drinks are kinda weak...

Otherwise we had a great stay! And I love that they allow dogs.

My, Oh my... the Elyton is a gem! Right in the heart of Downtown Birmingham, on the Heaviest Corner in the World, you are centrally located and within walking distance to SO MANY attractions, restaurants, shopping and history. Although, leaving your posh accommodations will be very difficult. The designers of the Elyton have achieved something many have tried and failed to accomplish. They have taken a historical building and created a modern, "swanky" and elegant home away from home, WITHOUT losing any of the buildings old world charm. I couldn't wait to get finished with my day and return to the Elyton. The staff, every one of them, acknowledges you as you walk in an area. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and wanted. They are current on events, activities and local laws. Even though there's a restaurant on site, the staff will lead you in the direction of what ever craving you may have and how to get there.
I can't wait to return.

Fun, swanky decor. Lovely, comfortable rooms. The valet was helpful, quick, and polite. We needed help with getting luggage to our room and back because the carts were impossible to find. The valets saved the day and helped with dinner options. I felt underdressed in the lobby because of a bunch of wedding parties. The rooftop bar has a nice view but short poured wine. I would stay again, but change out of my travel clothes before arriving and pack understanding unloading will be an issue.

Very pretty! Super comfortable beds. The staff has been delightful and the place is very clean!
The Rooms are a little on the small side, but it's a beautiful old hotel, so that is to be expected.
We liked the rooftop bar, they got crazy busy after 8pm. I would suggest going there for a pre dinner drink, unless you're looking to be in a standing only crowd.
