Bocca Ristorante

Went here for a Birthday celebration, and was not disappointed! First of all the Atmosphere was perfect! Very low key and romantic. Tatum our server was very attentive and made sure the courses were perfectly timed.. The cocktails were very nice and balanced. I highly recommend trying the in house made lemoncello! Quite good! Now about the food... Everything was very tasty but some were downright mind blowing! I firmly believe everyone must try the Arancini, the Garganelli and the Snapper! The Butter crunch donut was to die for! The portions were perfect and filling. We plan to be back for sure!

The best restaurant in Birmingham, and it’s not particularly close. The food, the staff and the atmosphere put it tiers above others, it is the must have dining occasion for special events/celebrations. This was my second time dining at Bocca, and it exceeded expectations yet again. If you are looking for an incredible evening with your significant other or family, Bocca is the place to be. Thank you Chef and to the staff at Bocca for an amazing experience.

We went to this restaurant on the advice of #badassbham. It did not disappoint. The food was very good and delightfully presented.

We tried every dessert. They were all very delicious. I was so surprised by the doughnut that we had to confirm our delight with another.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bocca this weekend. Our server was delightful and attentive. I had the best sangria I have ever tasted. When I mentioned that my husband did not like his bloody mary, the manager came to our table, talked to him about what he liked in a Bloody Mary. They then brought him a new Bloody Mary and did not charge us for it. Above and beyond service. My scallops were perfect as was a pasta dish we shared. My husband’s shrimp ‘em was excellent too. We shared the signature Carmel- crunch, ice cream dessert. The combo salty-sweet taste was spot on. I would highly recommend you take your favorite date to Bocca for a special treat. We will be back!

The service was awesome. Valet and inside service were superd.

We made reservations but showed up almost an hour early. They went ahead and seated us.

I ordered the braised short rib. It was served on a bed of polenta. My short rib was so tender. The polenta was good. They both were seasoned to perfection.

Ate here on a Friday night. We didn’t have a reservation but they had a table outside. It was lovely. It’s a quiet enclosed back patio with only about 5 tables. Very charming. The main dining area is beautiful, modern but definitely louder.
The service was attentive and helpful. The food was simply wonderful. Everything we had was a delight. Highly recommend the handkerchief pasta and the eggplant lasagna. We thankfully had dessert which was decadent. Be sure to try the donut - it puts all other donuts to shame.

Overall a lovely experience. I’d definitely go back bc the food was that good and I want to try it all.

We celebrated my birthday at Bocca last night and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was elegant and on point with live music (electronic guitar player). Our server (Tatum) was exceptional and was well versed on all the dishes and made our dining experience phenomenal. They made mr feel quite special. We will definitely be going back soon to try other dishes.

Bocca was simply amazing. They serve beautiful food in a gorgeous setting and the service is spectacular. It was definitely pricey but worth every penny. I really enjoyed the grouper and the two cocktails I tried. Also made room for the Italian Chocolate Mousse for dessert. Absolutely no complaints and highly recommend this restaurant for anytime you want a wonderful meal for any occasion. Can't wait to return!

2nd visit and certainly won't be my last. Excellent food and service. Valet available and easy entrance. Veal Marsala and Snapper dishes. And for all that's good and wonderful, try that doughnut for dessert.

Everything, and I mean everything, was exquisite. From start to finish, every aspect of this meal was amazing. Attentive service with knowledgeable staff, perfect sauces, perfect portions. One of the best meals I’ve had in Birmingham. Worth the cost, will be back again! Recommend the Bolognese and the squid ink pasta for sure!

This has to be one of the best Italian Food experiences I've ever had.
Mocktails were made for us based on what we felt like having.
Every single dish: the arancini, the Shrimp Scampi, the Bucatini Pomodoro and the tiramisu were absolutely fantastic.
Liana was the sweetest and the ambience in the patio was really great! 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone trying to have a great dinner with friends or a date night.

An elegant restaurant in the heart of downtown Birmingham. The service, the beverages, the meal, and the ambiance were outstanding. A gentleman playing soft guitar in the background as we enjoyed the enjoyed tge entire experience. We shared a bottle of wine. A couple antipasti plates, fantastic secondi courses, and amazing deserts! Goochland recommend this classy experience!

We went here for my birthday dinner. We’ve heard great things from friends and had never been so figured it was time. Food was excellent. Our server was great at offering recommendations and anticipated our drink requests and refills timely. We’d definitely go back!

We sat in the nicely decorated back patio with nice views of the Birmingham skyline. The food we ordered was delicious and left us craving for more. The portions are on the smaller side when compared to other Italian restaurants so plan accordingly.

They did it again, that Cioppino is magnificent 🍤🐠 Jordon served us this evening, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Thank you for making our 9th anniversary something special and memorable. I personally have worked over a decade in the food service industry and this was one of the best executed restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. From the hello from the host to the goodbye from the valet it was 100%. The entire staff worked as a well oiled machine to deliver exceptional service. Special thanks to our server Tatum whose personality, performance and recommendations won the show. It was obvious she has a great team in the kitchen to back her up with very well timed delivery of courses throughout the dinner. Mad props to the chef and manager as well. Look forward to trying other dishes in the future.

My friends brought me here for my birthday, and it was more than I'd hoped for. Not the usual "pasta and sauce" Italian restaurant, but hand-crafted dishes offering a more authentic taste. From the appetizer (I had the risotto balls) to my main course of wild boar to the dessert (OMG that donut!), everything was delicious. We sat at the bar to enjoy Liana's wonderful service - ok, I'm gonna be honest here and say she's my daughter and we sat there to be able to celebrate with her. I do have to say she makes a mean drink, and this is the first time I've had one of her fun cocktails.
It's pricier than I can normally afford, but well worth it if you are looking for a fine dining experience that's different from everything else in the 'Ham.
