Magic City Grill

Came across this hidden gem and what a pleasant surprise! Best fried chicken I’ve ever had! And candied yams were excellent!

The lady that waited on me NAME is BRENDA she gave me excellent service. The owner of Magic city Grill was very nice and made sure we got everything we needed great hospitality. I will go back there to eat !!!

Great food at a great price! This was my first visit and it will not be my last. I love the fried chicken and it was seasoned just right. I definitely will be back!

Came from SC. First time in Birmingham and we walked in here to eat. OMG!!!! The food was sooooo good! You can definitely tell it was made with love plus seasoned to perfection. The staff was so very friendly. And the owner was very humble and appreciative of our compliments. And the best part…cherry kool-aid !!! Love love love this place !

My family has been dining here for years. The food is great, always on point. I live near Birmingham Airport and drive 🚗 to Fairfield for their food and service.

The waitress Thelma always provides the best service ever. She always checks to make sure we have everything we need, if everything is ok, and that our cups are filled with whatever we're drinking. Awesome job Thelma!
The food is not always seasoned. Tastes just like they poured it right out of a can and warmed it up. If they would just take time to season the food right would do great justice to the business.

Had not been to this place in years. Went yesterday and had the best smothered chicken!!! OMG!!! Along with collard greens, and mashed potatoes!!! Good soul eating. You must try the Arnold Palmer drink when you go!! That they need to sale by the gallon ( I would be their best customer)🤣

We called Sunday morning, asking to serve 48 people (to go), after Sunday worship, which is a very busy time. The restaurant accommodated us. We were served quickly, the food was delicious and the staff took really good care of us. I would highly recommend Magic City Grill

The food was great the hospitality was exceptional Keisha our waitress very pleasant the staff was great not to mention they were closing in 45minutes. Great job Magic City Grille. Whenever I’m in Birmingham I will ALWAYS stop to eat!!

First time here. I am enjoying the buffett and selection. The service was friendly, engaging and warming. The atmosphere is from a time when u actually got great food, seasoned but overly. Maybe the cabbage was a little more spicy than i like but i quickly forgot about it when i tasted the smothered chicken. It has been years and all those younger years memories came pouring in. Love it thus far. Mos def will return.

Delicious home cooked food! It's summertime and you are eating a variety of mouth watering dishes from fried fish, collard greens, candied yams and more at the Magic City Grill. The salad bar takes center stage. Do not miss eating at this restaurant.
