Blueprint on 3rd

This restaurant is really nice! They have complimentary valet parking. Our waiter Ian was very courteous and personable. The food and drinks were really good. Great atmosphere and a nice food selection for the winter dinner menu.

It was a girls' night out with my social club. The ambiance of this establishment was very relaxed. The staff and guests were so friendly. Mattie was our server and did an amazing job. The food was delicious and seasoned pretty well without having to add to it. The portions are just enough to satisfy you. I only took a few pics of some of the ladies' food, but everyone had something different. I had some prosecco wine, one of my favorites, the mexican firing squad was good too. For the appetizer, I had the cornbread stuff smoked quail with conecuh sausage and Alabama white BBQ sauce. For my entree, I had the creamy beef stroganoff with shitake mushrooms, grilled kale, and porcini cream sauce pasta. Both were pretty good. Most of the ladies had the Joyce Farms grilled chicken breast, with green beans, creamy grits, and a lemon butter sauce. Another friend had the blueprint burger with pimento cheese and smokey bacon, with grilled onions and pickled green tomatoes. She also had the deviled eggs with smoked caviar. She stated it wasn't good, and something was missing. The cast iron cornbread with honey butter was good, too. Overall, the portions were small for the price. However, you will be satisfied when you leave. Definitely give this location a try. I would visit again, I need to try the desserts. 🙂

Had an amazing experience, as usual, at Blueprint on 3rd. The service was great and the food was delicious! My coworkers from out of town said, that it's a must that they come back for another meal. We had the brussel sprouts, éttouffée, elk chops, and catfish. 10/10 Highly recommend

This was an experience that was very memorable, from the smiles of a very professional staff, to the huge art deco prints, the very industrial vibe to the extraordinary food. The apps were very well made and they were delicious. My companion had the quail with stuffing and I had the cast iron cornbread with honey butter. Oh my…succulent was how she described the quail with the Conecuh sausage stuffing & my cornbread was cooked crispy on the outside and moist on the inside-or perfectly-didn’t even need the honey butter!
Mains were generous. Stroganoff w/porcini cream sauce & kale definitely a “drive two hours” go backer. Rich, hearty and to die for!
Our finish of peanut butter pie was a dream blend of PB and dark rich chocolate. I highly recommend Blueprint on 3rd-go, relax, be pampered, eat delicious food and star planning a second visit!

A great place for a date night! We had a 4:45pm reservation, but got there a little late because of the storm. No issues though, we were seated immediately. The temperature inside was perfect, and that is not always the case with restaurants! Maddie, our server was awesome! She gave us great recommendations, and she was right! We shared the Fried oysters “Rockefeller” with smoked bacon, creamed Sambuca spinach, the Ireland Farms mixed greens salad with Honeycrisp apples, candied pecans, & Danish blue cheese, and Maddie's favorite dish, their Grilled elk chop with local greens, mashed sweet potatoes, cherry bacon jam! The food was amazing! We had a few of their signature cocktails, but really enjoyed two of their dessert libations, the Carajillo and the Nuts & Berries - we are going to figure out how to make these at home!

Matt was our server and he made some excellent recommendations. Be forewarned: the deviled eggs is just one egg. The salmon appetizer was sooooo good. And so was the seafood pasta. The ooey gooey butter cake was neither ooey, gooey, nor buttery.

Exceptional meal, the waiter amazing and it’s a great atmosphere. I had the grilled elk chop and it was one of the best meals I’ve had. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, you won’t be disappointed.

The Elk chop served medium rare was delicious! Great drink selection, as well as plenty of delicious starters!
Trio Sorbet was fresh and opulent. The outside patio was the perfect atmosphere for a family dinner!

Enjoyed a delicious meal at Blueprint on 3rd. We sat at the bar for dinner and had great service from both bartenders. They offer some unique menu items, and their food is well-priced. We asked for their recommendations on food and wine, and all were good choices. The only thing we would change: we ordered the quick fried Brussels for an appetizer (our choice), and honestly, we were disappointed. They tasted burnt and the aioli left a lot to be desired. We will try the fried oysters Rockefeller, the pork belly, or the baked pimento cheese for an appetizer next time. We will definitely be back!

The unofficial motto for the restaurant is high class food without the fanfare. No white tablecloths but no one told that to the catfish or shrimp. The food is as well cooked as it is seasoned. Many sauces were obviously made in house and I’ve never had alligator so tender. The highlight was the catfish which sang like an Alaskan Salmon, but nothing, even down to the garnishes was flawed or belittled.
This restaurant needs more recognition.

A great meal with great service for some picky food snobs! Enjoyed the entire meal, it was a touch loud but in this case it was due to the positive attitude of the servers and some delicious food.

My husband and I celebrated our 11th year anniversary here this year. We absolutely love a night out of fine dining in Birmingham and surrounding cities. My husband wanted to do something a little different this night, and he never disappoints. Service was superb, and the food was full of flavor. The restaurant was full of cheerful people enjoying their food and drinks, just as we did. We would definitely dine here again!

Definitely a 5 star date night experience. Parker our waiter was informative and friendly. The Australian Frisk Riesling was wonderful and a great recommendation. The food was also amazing. (Corn bread/honey butter appetizer melts in your mouth). We valet parked so it was front door service but they had plenty of parking outside the restaurant. I would absolutely recommend coming here if you live or are visiting Birmingham.

Friday night date Night, Week 4 Taste of the Town found us at Blueprint on 3rd. Of course I started with the Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Steve had the Spicy Pimento Cheese with toast. Loved the cast iron skillet used for the pimento cheese!! A second appetizer of Mother of Hen mushrooms with spicy arugula did it for me. Steve's Pork Tenderloin was tender and very tasty! We sat outside on the patio, and even though it was chilly outside, the heaters kept us toasty warm! Inside was very noisy and busy. Service was fantastic! Appetizers and entrées came out quickly and were cooked perfectly! Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Fantastic experience. Cocktail was great, food was delicious and came out very fast despite the restaurant being somewhat crowded. Chef even came out to ask how the meal was. Will certainly return next time in town.

Hands down, the best restaurant at or within walking distance of Pepper Place and I have been dining in this area for years

Loved the food and the ambience here. Every dish we ordered was great and flavorful. This was the Orzo pasta. We also had the cheese and toast points and the calamari. Overall a great dinner! Went again recently and the food is still amazing. I love the seasonal menu.

The personality and atmosphere of this place is outstanding. The portions, the flavors, the service. Everything is just so wonderful here. Can't wait to go back and visit Blueprint on 3rd again.

Wonderful!! Staff is SO nice, but the food is IMMACULATE. Sal was an amazing waiter. He really made sure to cover everything you may need to know, and you never really had to ask for anything. It’s almost like he could read minds 🤯

The drinks, food , knowledgeable wait staff, and ambiance were amazing. My friend ordered the oyster shooter, and I ordered the deviled eggs with caviar for starters. For our main, she ordered the " It's hot " red fish and I had the Joyce farms chicken breast....both AMAZING. For desserts, we both had the creme brûlée and the sweet potato cheesecake to end a great night of laughter and conversation. Highly recommended!
