Whiskey And Wine

As promised! Gotta review this place too! Walked over from BOLD last night to finally give this place a try. So much Bourbon and Whiskey! Beautiful atmosphere too. It's a fantastic place to stop for a tasting. Owned by BOLD, you can also get their appetizers and small snacks. Make sure to ask the team behind the bar for their suggestions, you won't be disappointed! We'll definitely be back!

I took a client on a small tour of old town Algonquin after a long day of home showings. It was my first time in and I was instantly impressed with the extensive knowledge of the staff and the impressive variety of Whiskey for my client to choose from. I had one glass of excellent red, even though the tasting sampler was quite tempting. I'm eager to go back and do that one day when I am not with a client. Another thing of note: even though the place was absolutely packed with customers, the owner was very friendly, going out of his way to make sure to check in with everyone.

Intimate space for a detailed wine and/or whiskey tour. Our host, John, was personable, knowledgeable, and had a great handle on tastings for a diverse group of palates. Charcuterie boards were on hand with access to nearby Bold for small plate options. It was a great ladies night out!

I can't attest to the food here, as I've never had it, but this is a gem in the downtown Algonquin area. I've had many wine tastings here and they have always been amazing! Today, I came in for the mimosa flight, and it was DELICIOUS! My partner has always done the whiskey tastings, and he has never been disappointed. For whiskey, they give you a pamphlet with your name on it to keep there so that you can check off the whiskeys you've tried from their collection. If you fill up the pamphlet, I believe you get a Whiskey and Wine shirt. Their whiskey selection is huge too! I will always recommend this spot, and I have already brought many friends here who have also loved it. The new patio area they have along the Fox River is beautiful too!

I have no complaints about this place. It was exactly what I was looking for in terms of selection, quality of cocktails, service, and a very comfortable environment.

A place to be and relax. Amazing selections of Whiskeys and weekly change of wine selections. The host was amazing to educate us and make us very comfortable. A must do.

Go on Sundays when Tina is working. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and a great person to carry on a conversation with. The selection of whiskey is the largest I have seen anywhere, and the rotating wine tastings give you something new to look forward to every time you go.

This was a cool find close to home. I was there a month or so ago. Just getting around to rating them. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable about the wines. I'm terrible with names and adding a month doesn't help. We plan to head there again soon.

Small place, but we had a group of 9 couples, and it fit us all. Some of us had a flight of whiskey, which had a good variety. Some had a more specific pallet, and they were able to get what they were looking for. Both servers we had were very good in giving us a description of their selection. We all had the perfect drink to sip on while we chatted. There is no food, so I recommend that you do what we do & eat dinner prior.

Would give this 10 stars if I could. Had an outstanding experience doing a wine tasting here. The charcuterie board was equally impressive. Will be back for another tasting sometime!

Fantastic, period. It's great to just chill here and taste beverages and talk about them. Staff is VERY knowledge, and prices are extremely competitive. The only downside is parking.

The selection was impressive! The friendly and knowledgeable host offered me a Cabernet Franc and I found my new go to!

We can’t wait to go back and hangout. The girls were super helpful and friendly and it looks like a fun place for drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and maybe a game of Operation!

Had a great experience here on double date. It is very unique and something different to do. Had the chance to try alcohol that I could not usually get my hands on. The cheese board we had was very good. We played some board games and had a fun night.

My friend and I went for a wine tasting a couple months ago and it was a fabulous experience! Great service, great location, and great selection. Great place for a girls night :)

Was in there today! Spoke with Amanda, she was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. Good service coupled with the impressive caliber of acquisition and the environment at Whiskey and Wine is what puts them beyond their competitors.

Great atmosphere, unbelievable selection of whiskeys (300 or so), build-your-own whisky flights, very helpful staff! Can't wait to return!

What an amazing selection of whiskey. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They also offer a 5 course wine tasting that makes for a great for date night, or just socializing with friends.

Great selection of whiskey from all over the world! Cozy vibes. Very low key place.
