The Original Chickies Beef & Banquet

We tried this place and found a gem. My husband loves the meatball keto bowl. I have tried the Italian Beef, Eggplant Parmigiana Sandwich, Little Village Burger, Chickie's Loaded Fries, and Breaded Steak Sandwich. My hands-down favorite was the Eggplant but nothing was disappointing. The Cannoli shake was amazing, but two spoonfuls and I was done.

Great place. The beef is very tasty. Best breaded mushrooms I've had in a while. Also has a great outside sitting area. First time but won't be the last.

Doesn’t disappoint! Huge servings! Bring your appetite. Takes me back to my childhood when all we had enough money for was gravy bread. They still serve it. Everything is made fresh. I waited for them to make a cannoli. Gotta go there!!!

I grew up eating here since I was a kids and ate at the Original Chickies on Pulaski and 28th and the food continúes to have that Incredible Flavor I have enjoyed My Whole Life, tried my 1st Canoli Shake, you guys killed it!

The best of the best. Beef is outstanding! Hot dogs great. Had pretty much alot of menu. Everything spectacular! And the best French fries ever. Nobody touches them!

Chickie's has great service and friendly service providers. As much as they have a high volume of traffic they seldom get an order in correct or food not to your expectations, but that is the case they honor you as a valued customer and make it right for you few questions asked, done!

Frankie the cook is a seasoned veteran of the fast food industry, serving at another Restaurant staple for a number of years before moving to Chickie's and continuing to keep the standard up.

We drove past this Roosevelt road beef - pizza stand numerous times. Finally made a stop, and it did not disappoint. The Eggplant Parmigiana sandwich was cheesy and crispy. Chickie's loaded fries are topped with Italian Beef, cheese, and jalapeños.

The Italian beef was delicious. Everything you want in an Italian beef sandwich; super juicy thin slices of meat with heat from the giardiniera. The fries were well seasoned but would ask them to make them well done.

The restaurant itself was super clean including their bathrooms! The workers were welcoming and nice.

Highly recommend this place; will come back!

First. Let me just say that ive been coming to that area for years and never knew that thjs place existed.. I went through drive-thru (a bit quirky but doable), received my food (the order was correct), got to my destination (east of Manheim rd) the food was still hot. That hot dog and fries was delicious. Next week, im trying the beef.

I live in hillside and was randomly looking for a restaurant that sells pizza by the slice.

The pizza is 10/10 the employees are 10/10!

I don’t know if it is normal but I always receive 2 slices when i order 1 usually around 2pm but im just enjoying the food man for the price its a gift! Thanks To Chickies Staff !

Chickies family is a wonderful way to spend ur weekend or any Sunday with ur loved ones. The atmosphere was amazing. We got to meet the owner Chuck who told us about the history and made us feel at home. He personally came to our table to see how our food was and if we needed anything. Nowadays ppl are "too busy". If ur in the area go eat at Chickies you won't be disappointed.

I used to live one block away on the original location on Pulaski. I just visited on Hillside. Is still taste the same many years ago. I really love their Italian beef. Best Italian beef in Chicago land area.

Use to go to the original on 31st in Little Village, just the smell of the "Old School Special" Gravy Bread, Fresh Cut Fries... the Italian Beef Hot... just great...!

Food is good. Italian beef is fantastic. And if you like French fries, they give you like 2lbs. I can never finish them.

O M G!!! I totally forgot this place was here! The food is amazing! It takes me back to the little shack on 31st and Pulaski in Chicago! Food cooked fresh and it is so worth the wait. It's a shame that this place is hidden behind McDonald's and Wendy's. People.... drive past those 2 fast food joints and get into Chickies!!! You'll be glad you did. Can't wait to get back there again.

I am absolutely obsessed with the watermelon Italian ice. It's a good thing I live more than 2 hours away in Wisco or I'd be getting one every day 🤣

Very clean great fries a d salad and beef. In 1962 went to a new hot dog hamburger and beef stand on 28th and Pulaski went there many times. Moved to Cicero where they opened another. It did close but now I have found they opened on Roosevelt a block west of Manheim great food like 50 years earlier so now we have it all over again.
