B.A.S.H. Burger and Sushi House - Ottawa

Cute, modern, and trendy. Burgers were well made, juicy, and tasty. I got the spicy veggie sushi roll which was fresh and delicious.
Got the brisket fries, which was enough for 4 people as an appetizer, and loaded with tender chunks of brisket, cheese sauce, bbq sauce and green onion. Too saucy for me, but perfect for my husband who doesn't like his food too be anything less than a flavor bomb of sauce soup.
They had cute little bento boxes for the kids meals, my 8 year old(who honestly has a teenage appetite at times) was a bit bummed his slider was so small. There were fries, edamame, and fruit too so he certainly did not go hungry, but I thought the Lil slide was maybe half the size of a white castle, so I had to agree with him it was a bit tiny. My daughter got the Mac bento, and there were no complaints from her although her appetite is slightly smaller.
Overall this place was a hit, and the menu was quite extensive. Had a cute patio overlooking the park across the street and looked like a nice place once the weather warms up.

We were visiting Ottawa on a weekend excursion. Google helped us identify some choices. I love sushi, and my husband absolutely does not. B.A.S.H. (Burfer and Sushi House) seemed to resolve any conflict on what he could get at a sushi restaurant. The restaurant certainly has a young and hip vibe with concrete floors, and a lot of wrought iron wood led to an industrial feel. The menu is extensive. On the sushi side (literally one side of the menu is Sushi, the other side burgers), there are 12 classic rolls, 17 specialty rolls, Nigiri and Sashimi, and a Poke Dinner. The burger side features 11 burgers, 4 Mac (n' cheese) as well as the 'Build Your Own' sections (the burger section has over 50 options to choose from - be careful prices are from free to $10 depending on the option. You can quickly end up with a pricey burger). We went with the Vacation Specialty Roll as an appetizer. Uniquely, it has no rice. Instead, mango purée and cream cheese as a base with salmon and a crab salad all deep fried, which makes my husband happy as he does not do the raw fish. We both found it delicious. I had the Brussel Sprout salad with the shrimp chili sauce on the side, I'm glad I did as the sauce was very sweet for my taste. My husband had the huge bowl of Chicken Katsu Ramen. I was pleasantly surprised it was not the salty taste I'm used to with Ramen, although I might not have ever had real good Ramen. The attached patio is dog friendly. I did want to mention that the restaurant has made great effort to be environmentally conscious with biodegradable take-home containers, compostable bags, and bamboo straws. Finally, all the restrooms were gender neutral.

I’ve never been to a place that both specialized in burgers and sushi but let me tell you this restaurant/bar did not disappoint! Me and my GF are from the Chicago land area so coming out to Ottawa we had to stop by here. Sushi was fresh and delicous! The burger was amazing and the truffle fries were bomb! Highly recommend this place to visitors and locals!

The staff were super friendly even though they were busy. Had the Bash Burger as is and it was delicious. No need for a side of fries but what I saw from others it looked delicious. Also tried the Foxy Roxy (pulled pork on a burger patty with a sharp tangy sauce). This was amazing. The sauce enhanced the bbq pull pork but was not overpowering. My first trip to Ottawa and loved this place.

Atmosphere, service, and food was top notch. It was a little intimidating as a newcomer from Ohio so could be more welcoming up front but all-in-all great place highly recommend. Doc says go here for sure!

Great food and a fun place too eat! Very diverse many with something for everyone. If you go on a weekend plan on waiting a bit to be seated. I was lucky enough to be seated right away at the sushi bar and that ended up being just as great as the food. It is surprisingly not as loud sitting at the sushi bar than other areas of the restaurant and watching the sushi rolls get made is quite entertaining.

Four for dinner, 3 cocktails, 1 appetizer, 2 burgers, 1 chicken sandwich, 1 truffle fries, 2 specialty sushi plates $121. A lot of great food for a very reasonable price. A Macdaddy, a double cheeseburger with an egg, a chicken caprese sandwich and two delicious rolls. The Volcano roll is turned on its side and stacked then piled with extremely rich warmed crab salad. The atmosphere is actually not to bad especially for the size of the room. It was not that loud. Came here on a recommendation and will definitely continue the recommendation!!

Sushi and Burgers were great! Had lots of choices on their menu. Relaxed atmosphere would return again.

Price is an issue. Great portions. Great food. Go here if you want a solid place to eat and have cash to burn.

My taste buds and my celiac digestive system agree that B.A.S.H. is an amazing place to visit in Ottawa. People without dietary restrictions don’t consider how rare it is to be able to find delicious and safe food like the Impossible Sundried burger and the build your own mac & cheese. The no-jito was the perfect complement on a hot day, as well.

BASH truly honors their name by delivering the most flavor packed burgers and sushi. In fact, their Watts Up burger with chorizo and pico de gallo is one of the most delicious burgers that I've ever eaten in my life.

They have a myriad of tasty apps and desserts, too, and some good drinks.

It's a good vibe and friendly service, and it's definitely worth the trip to Ottawa if you're heading there from out of town. (Perfect spot to impress a firs date)

They're usually packed on the weekends/evenings, so plan ahead for long waits. They don't take reservations. It's a first come, first serve basis.

I've never been mid meal and decide to upload a review, but this experience has given me a ton of inspiration.
What a gem Ottawa has here, totally worth the drive from Bloomington, Peoria, or Joliet. The atmosphere is modern but still respectable in this beautiful town. They have done an amazing job blending the outdoors and indoors.

The food is amazing!! I highly recommend the crab rangoon and if you like spicy the tuna tartare. More to come!!

Kamikaze Rolls were great and had lots of layers to the taste. The ramen bowl was huge and the burger delicious. Combine all that with excellent service and you have an amazing experience.

We really enjoyed our meal here, and the service from Laura! There were so many creative burger options that all sounded fantastic - it was so hard to decide. We got a Crabby Patty burger (pictured), and a Twisted PB&J along with the truffle parmesan fries. Both burgers were messy but delicious - we really loved the unique flavor combinations. The sushi menu looked fantastic, so we definitely want to come to try that, and also to enjoy some of the amazing-looking cocktails. Our sever Laura was friendly and very attentive, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. We look forward to coming back!

This. Place. Is. AWESOME!! The food was amazing, the appetizers, sushi, and burgers we ALL A-1. Our waitress was very dope and took time to answer any questions we had. Check it out, trust me, you'll be happy.

Sat at the regular bar, they also have a sushi bar you could sit at and order. Service was great. The food was amazing. The sweet potatoes roll was one of the best I have very had. The chicken was great. Sorry no pictures of the crab and cream cheese wantons.

Phenomal vegan selection! We tried every vegan dish on the menu and had the best experience. The grilled carrots were outstanding!!! We didn't see the vegan cheesecake on the menu but had heard about it and made sure to ask for it. It was stunning to look at and tasted heavenly... like a cheesecake tiramasu hybrid. The sushi, and Sunried Impossibile burger, and fries were a hit as well. It was a perfect night out!

Came here after friends recommended it as it's one of the best places to eat in the entire area. The vibes from the restaurant felt like I was eating at a big city place but in a small town which was pretty cool. The tuna roll is massive, unique and tasty. Highly recommend it. The beer selection was a bit slim to match the restaurant vibes of the place but still had some good beers. Overall, very impressed for a place in a town like Ottawa. I'm glad places like this are making it to small towns but maybe match prices to the cost of living.

This place is so amazing. The atmosphere is great, along with the nice spacious seating. Food was absolutely delicious. We had both sushi and burgers. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Can't wait to go back again!
