Papa G's - Huntley

Highly recommended place! The Dodd was great, chicken soup was delicious, burger too. Service was great! What a great experience. Milkshake was amazing, 2 people in the group ordered and loved it.

Can't say enough about Papa G's! Angie is the best server I've ever had. The food was perfect. We went for two days in a row, trying to find any flaw. There aren't any. Excellent food. Every staff member and the owner were very friendly. Do yourself a favor and stop in if you ever have a chance.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Papa G Restaurant in Huntley, Illinois, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. Our waitress, Diane, provided top-notch service and her recommendation of the skillet dish was spot on. The skillet was cooked to perfection, with a tantalizing blend of flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. Papa G Restaurant is well-known for their delicious homemade foods and soups, and it's easy to see why. The cozy atmosphere and attentive staff make this local diner a must-visit for anyone craving a memorable dining experience.

Ok, first let me say this is a little place. A diner like from other times with comfort foods and good prices. Greeted as you come in, service with a smile and the food was plentiful and good. Don't go expecting fancy anything....this is a down home diner with meatloaf, turkey, breaded pork tenderloin smothered in gravy and the likes. They also have a plenty of sandwiches and all day breakfast. They are no longer open for dinner...they close at 3pm now. We are happy to have found this spot and I think we may be coming to try breakfast next weekend. We definitely will be back even though it is a little outside our immediate area but very much worth it.

Just good food is an understatement at this place. The service is excellent in this family oriented restaurant. The home made breads are delicious and such an unexpected item. If you don’t live in Huntley then you just don’t know what an excellent place to enjoy breakfast is here. I will be back with friends, family and colleagues. Don’t miss out!

Great breakfast, waffles, skillet and the homemade toast was awesome. Seemed the four of us had just ordered and the food was brought out just as we ordered and delicious. Friendliest service and inviting diner atmosphere. Coming back!

I cant believe I found this place . Food is excellent prices are more then fair ,staff is welcoming and kind even better they are good at their job . This restaurant is one of a few left . Great place to enjoy alone or with your family.

Patty melt was fresh and flavorful. Biscuits and gravy omelette was impressive! Kids enjoyed their chicken fingers, pancakes and sausage omelette. Best homemade bread and toast I have had since my grandma’s. Good job giys! We will see you soon.

Great small town establishment that I have never been to before. The breakfast was hot and quick and my omelette was stuffed with ham off the bone. Not greasy at all and excellent service!

Girlfriend had the fried chicken, I had the perch dinner.Absalutly amazing food,cant rave about it enough. I'm stuffed like a pig have leftovers,and can't wait to go back,a true gem.

I love a genuine smile and eye contact. And that is the first thing I got when I walked into Papa G’s. I spotted this place while driving through Huntley, IL. It was almost 1:00 and my stomach was telling me it was time to stop. I’m so glad I did. I took a seat at the bar and I’m glad I did. The first thing I noticed was the comedic chemistry between the staff. They were having fun and frankly cracked me up several times. It’s good to see people enjoying their work.

The soup of the day was vegetables it was a perfectly Illinois day. Cold and snowy. So I ordered a cup. I asked the server if it was made here and she said, “Oh yes. He makes everything right here.” She delivered my soup. It did not disappoint. Very good.

I order the liver. I know. This is were I lose almost all of you. Whatever. This is my review. It was perfect. Reminded of when mom used to make it. I opted for topping out with bacon instead of onions (I have to talk to people today). So good.

With a chip of coffee the whole lunch cost me less than $12. Great meal for a great price. Well done Papa G’s!

Papa G's, while it is not fancy, is an adorable family diner. My friends and I have come here for brunch several times, and it has been very good! As college students, one of the reasons we enjoy coming here is because they have great food at a great price. The portions are generous, and the staff is friendly. They will even make a point of recognizing regulars and picking up conversations that they started at a previous visit. I personally have only had the biscuits and gravy, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. As a picky eater, it is totally picky eater approved!

They are great at making great food in a timely manner. This is not a fancy restaurant, and with some interior work done to modernize the place, it could improve, but for being a local mom and pop shop, it is really cute, and has great food! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially families, and I myself plan on coming back for some more biscuits and gravy!

It's exactly what you are looking for if you like an oldschool type vibe. It's got great food, especially the pancakes. Portion sizes are good and not too much or too little. All of the staff is great and the service is friendly. Very affordable!

We were getting our SUV serviced at Auto Tech, and Arlan recommended that we go and have breakfast at Papa G's and my goodness!!!!! The atmosphere was nice,the waitress was the best, our food was DELICIOUS 😋 the cook he was awesome because, I ordered scrambled eggs hard, it was perfectly done!!!!! No cook at other restaurants could do my eggs perfectly like he did. We will return! Hey, when you go to this restaurant tell them that Yolanda Sent cha😁
