Bartonville Diner

The food was wonderful, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. I ordered the skillet breakfast with bell peppers onion & melted cheese and asked for the gravy on the side, the over easy eggs were perfect & great large flavorful pancakes. The servings were so large we had to get take out boxes. It has a wonderful small town atmosphere. The waitress didn't offer water and we had to ask for it and she failed to follow up for drink refills and it wasn't very busy when we went even at that she was nice. The prices were very reasonable. We we pleased with the whole experience overall and definitely will come back. Even though we were there early I had the feeling it's family friendly. Highly recommend.

Had a great time at Bartonville Diner. Food was good, prices were fair. Most important to me, the staff was accommodating and friendly. I was meeting with family I hadn't seen in a long time, and our party didn't arrive all at once; we also were enjoying our visit and lingered a bit. I actually apologized on my way out (since I do understand it's a business and they need to turn tables to make money), but at no point did the employees rush us or hover. I'd never take undue advantage of their consideration, but I was grateful for it.

I had the steak and eggs. How much flexibility is there in such a simple dish? As expected, the steak was large but thin. Unexpectedly, it was actually rare! I loved the everything bagel topping on it. The over easy eggs were absolutely perfect with firm whites and runny yolk. For a small upcharge I got cottage cheese instead of potato. The cottage cheese was exceptional--large curd whole milk and so creamy! I will make a point of returning at the end of our trip

Our server was super helpful, prompt, and friendly. She kept our drinks filled, took our orders right when we were ready, and brought our bill promptly.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our first time here! Great food, the waitress was very attentive . Highly recommend!

In my opinion, this is the best diner in the Peoria area. Excellent food (try the chicken with pasta soup), great prices, even better prices for seniors, lot's of regulars, always busy while I never waited for a booth of a table. Friendly staff

Very good! Haven't been in 6 or 7 years and it was redone on the inside. Used to feel small and crowded, now its spacey and plenty of room. Food was great! The mushrooms were like a double order compared to anywhere else for less than $7. Fried chicken was good, too. All this for $17. Took the Senior chicken dinner home to my hubby. Too many mushrooms.;)

This has become our favorite place to eat. Great atmosphere, great food, great prices. Very clean. Very friendly staff .

Everything was so good! The service is incredible and the food is delicious. They are very fast and very nice people. Thank you, guys. We were 10 people and we are all very satisfied:)

My second time there for breakfast. It was great! Service is excellent, very clean and nice atmosphere! Reasonably priced! If you go away hungry, it's your fault because they do not skimp! If you have a smaller appetite, you could split a meal. Huge menu and I want to go back for dinner sometime.

Thanks to the staff that was able to accommodate talk of 9 about an hour before closing. I used Google for find this restaurant that was still open and serving in the Bartonville. I had family visit from New Jersey and South Carolina and local. We found you to be able to share a meal with my immediate family. The service was great, she was fast and the food was hot. For being a family dinner y'all cook every meal served with a bit of soul in it. All my family members complimented their meal as did I. The portion sizes for a hungry person and is why I wrote this review. I'm around her so I will be back. The restaurant is spacious, lighting relaxing for break, lunch or dinner. Park is ample with handicapped accessible.

Honestly, rating 5 stars because it’s pretty much 100% what you’d expect from a small town diner. No surprises. Good food that comes out in an inoffensive timeframe. Friendly staff. Meets expectations, so 5 stars.

Excellent service and they were all empathetic and calm about my child who threw a major fit because he wanted to sit in the truck in the lobby instead of eat 🙄

Wonderful food with huge portions. Recommended by the lady at the hotel we were staying at and we are glad we went out of the way to find this little diner. It's a gem.
