Auction House Cafe

We’ve come here twice for my birthday breakfast now. Both times were really good experiences, food was obviously amazing, I’ve only had breakfast items but I can’t wait to try their burgers and other things. Their homemade raisin toast got my drooling too!
Love their real authentic diner style, everyone working here was really really friendly too, as if they weren’t here to work but just to cook some good food to feed everybody and make them happy!

This was our first time here and it definitely will not be our last. When we first pulled in we were surprised by the size of the tiny restaurant, but don't let that fool you. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, the people our friendly, from the servers to the cooks and the native locals who greeted us with smiles, laughs and conversation. The food was amazing. I had the breakfast burrito and it was huge, filled with yummy deliciousness. I savored every bite of the fresh green peppers, mushrooms and onions. Very flavorful. If you are passing through Wayland, give it a try. You won't regret it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This place is amazing you get cheap prices for awesome meals. I got the breakfast scramble and it was amazing. I never had food this good in my life. 10/10 I do recommend.

The Auction House Cafe is very tiny and easy to miss. Despite its small size, the portions were huge and absolutely wonderful. The staff and other patrons were super friendly.
If you don't mind not sitting at a table, this is a fabulous place.

From the outside, for such a small place, you'd never expect such a big impression! My first time here, meeting with a group of friends...and so glad we did! No tables in this small space, all diner counter style seating. But BIG plates of food with BIG flavor! Fantastic home style cooked breakfast..I recommend the meat lovers omelette! Quick service and super friendly servers...and a gracious owner! This place has "community family" vibes, as it only seats maybe 15-18 people, and youre all quite close you can't help but comment and chat with others around you. Dont pass this place up! If you're on an adventure and looking for some great food in a great hometown atmosphere...this is it!!

I Googled restaurants near me while traveling. Auction House Cafe came up
and we decided to give it a try. It’s not much of a looker from the outside but it did not disappoint! There aren’t any tables, seating is at a U shaped bar/counter. Our server was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Our food was phenomenal and we will definitely be back!

Great food. Great service. Excellent prices. Everyone there was very nice....like you are at one big table and talking with each other.

Incredible! Our work site got rained out and I found myself hungry. Being new to this area I didn't have a clue where to eat. I took my chances with a Google search. As I pulled in the parking area I thought "Hmm this place looks interesting"🤔 I walked in the doors and fell in love. Me being a small town girl at heart, this place is everything I hoped for. Quaint, charming, and friendly are the words that come to mind. Elliana, my server, was wonderful and welcoming. I ordered the southern omelet, it was freshly and quickly prepared. Eating alone, I appreciated Elliana engaging in polite conversation with me. The home made wheat toast along with my omelet was delicious! I have zero complaints. This cute little Cafe proves that wonderful things come in small packages. I will return very soon.

Great small-town diner. One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Worth the trip. Don't be fooled by the outside, it's small but a wonderful place to go!

I just happened to stop in one Saturday afternoon. The place was off the beaten path and I only found it by doing a Google search. They serve something for everyone. But I love a BIG healthy breakfast... I had 4 eggs (pefect over easy) 2 sausage patties and a half plate of biscuits and gravy. The half plate was almost a full plate anywhere else. And the fluffy biscuit was awesome along with the gravy. I've stopped in a handfull more times and everytime the same great service and perfectly prepaired meal. Don't let the outside fool you. This place isn't big and fancy, it's a diamond in the rough.

Love this place. My Co-worker and i was traveling through the area and wanted to try something new and found this Cafe. The people, service, foods, and everything about the place was great. I travel all the time and try to stay away from chain restaurants, bar grills, ect. I am always looking for family or private owned eating places. this was a gem hiding and finally found it. Will always go here when in the area of Wayland MI.

I stumbled upon this place while searching for breakfast alternatives to Big Boy in the Wayland area. The enthusiasm and quality of the other online reviews of this place definitely caught my attention, and now having been here twice - with plans to make this a regular meeting place - I am hooked.

What a fantastic little restaurant! There are bigger, more expensive restaurants in the breakfast-lunch world that are a far cry from how good the food at Auction House Cafe is. I have to admit how surprised I was by this - this small, nondescript restaurant just on the edge of a small town in a rural area... and yet it's fantastic!

Such a small place, where you're definitely feeling intimate not only with the other diners around the bar, but the kitchen as well. How they manage to put out such quality food in such a small place in such a small town is beyond me, but I'm not questioning it, because I really am enthralled with this.

I cannot recommend this place enough! Except, don't tell your friends, because it's pretty small, and I still want to be able to get a seat when I'm stopping through for weekly brunch dates with my father. ;)
