This was by far the best place that we have been for lobsters and clams. Very friendly, helpful, and the prices are great!!! We will definitely be coming back over and over again. Quiet little town far away from the tourists.

Delicious, obviously incredibly fresh, and by far the cheapest prices I've seen for lobster or clams anywhere in Maine. Staff was helpful and the food was prepared quickly. Simple accommodations, but a nice patio on the dock with a great view of the water. Recommended!

These people are so nice and the prices are so low. This is the place to go for a Marine coastal lobster, without all the frills of a more touristy place.

South Bristol Fishermans Coop is as straightforward as it gets: great, fresh lobster, low prices, no frills. As good as the lobster and clams are, this is admittedly not for everyone. Picnic tables on a working dock may not be everyone's taste, but it was authentic and delicious as it gets. We would advise checking the hours: they close on the early side. We also learned that the day of our visit was the last day they would cook our lobsters for the season. The staff was friendly, the facilities clean. They let us pick our own lobsters and steamers, then cooked them up for us. We were provided with lobster crackers and a roll of paper towels. We brought our own wine and glasses, and, in the likelihood we come back, we'll bring lobster picks. I might also bring along some handy wipes. South Bristol Fishermans Wharf is a genuine treat, not to be missed.

Prices are incredible, lobster is fresh, and the view can't be beat. This place is worth driving down the peninsula for. You can feed a family of four lobster for the price of one meal at a tourist trap. Skip the hype, go to the real deal.

I've been buying lobster here for years and have never been disappointed. Now you can buy it they cook it and you can sit eat it right there and watch the show. It's a beautiful spot to relax.

We're looking forward to our 3-week, cool-weather vacation in South Bristol. Our first stop will be at the coop for dinner: soft-shell lobsters! Fresh, needless to say, and steamed to perfection. We'll take them "home" and feast. Can't wait!
A major part of our joy in picking up the lobsters-to-go is the coop itself. It's the quintessential Maine for us New Orleanians - picturesque, and always busy with boats coming and going. It's a working wharf. This year we hope to crack our lobsters out on their deck, and watch the action!

The prices are reasonable and the lobster was delicious. They only serve seafood and it's BYOB. There are a few picnic tables on the deck by the water so get there early to enjoy the view.

It was fantastic fresh lobster at good prices! She was very helpful, we are here from out of state and she steered us the right direction where seafood is involved.

Great place for excellent seafood! Very nice people and helpful. Inside has snacks candy and sweatshirts /hats fishing gear etc... diesel and gas pumps dockside, and the freshest lobster around.

Lobster done right, from the cold traps to the steamer, you can't beat the views. This is the true Maine experience. Worth the drive from Virginia.

If you're looking for fresh Maine seafood you can't do better. Best to buy live and cook at home, but you can eat there.

Super nice people. Call ahead if possible. Can eat there outside or take out. Interesting to watch the boats and fishermen working.

Avoid the weekend, they may be out of most popular products. Otherwise, high quality seafood, fresh and reasonable, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Best Customer service in the area. Lobsters are fresh, clams oysters, fresh catch of the day....awesome!
