Is lobster over-rated? Maybe… I eating a fresh steamed lobster a must while in Maine? If you’re not allergic to shell fish, then yes, yes it is. So you might as well do it here. It’s a very friendly place with a great atmosphere. Prices seemed reasonable.

We have had a different lobster roll from Acadia to Kennebunkport. One a day at some of the best highly rated places and this was by far our favorite. All were good but this one stood out as the best. We got a hot one which cost a little more along with their blueberry wheat beer and it was exceptional! Oh and we got the smaller one!

Lovely place with lots of outdoor & indoor seating overlooking Boothbay Harbor. Easy ordering by the window. Prices are a little on the high side, but the jumbo lobster roll was way enough for two adults of average size. There are also special daily menu items, which looked delicious. There are many options for side orders. I had the corn, which was delicious. Also, the lobster was super-fresh and absolutely delicious. Really nice and fun place for the whole family.

We’re from Wisconsin and had an amazing time! Some of our folks got whole lobsters, fried scallops, and crab rolls - all was delicious! We also had some great ice cream. Glen, in the bar, made incredible drinks! He was patient as we ordered plenty of buckets. He also let us hold some lobsters! Overall, great time and Glen made my day. I’d definitely return!

Best bartenders in the harbor. Very professional and friendly making the most yummy cocktails. Atmosphere is very fun and inviting. Drove 3 hours just to visit the Lobster Wharf again.
Would highly recommend the food and adult beverages. We also got to see a couple big tuna’s coming off the boat

My husband and I ordered the lobster roll ($35 & worth every penny) and lobster quesadilla! Both so good!!! So much lobster on both.

Incredibly sweet lobster, reasonably priced. Great views of BoothBay. Watching the real fisherman do their real work. Humbling. So many choices. Gorgeous flowers. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms.

Lovely place for good eats on the waterfront! Can't deny the freshness when you watch it boiled right there! The fish tacos offered blackened or fried were fresh and tasty. No one in our party left hungry and I thought that things were reasonably priced! Good food with a good view!

I got 1.5lbs steamers, corn and baked tater.
Corn was perfect! Steamer on the ocean is sublime only disappointment was the baked potato.
I will be back loved it!

Super tasty lobster and oysters, very recommended. Unique atmosphere, you can see how it cooked, also had live music, very lovely place.

Casual place with lots of outdoor seating. You order at the counter, seat yourself, and they call you when the order is ready. A full bar is available (order separately). Great place for lobster. Seating is on a wharf with classic Maine scenery: a view of Boothbay Harbor.

Great place for lunch or dinner in Boothbay Harbor! Right on the water! We enjoyed the lobster BLT (only half pictured as we split the BLT), cheese curds, and a side of fries. Being from WI, I'm picky about cheese curds and these were delicious! And the sauce they came with was delicious with a bit of spice 💯 Bonus that the place is dog friendly also!

My fiancé and I were there last weekend. We had walked over there from the other side of the harbor after we went on a whale watching cruise. The food was amazing. We ordered hard shell lobsters for the first time. Limited experience with lobster. We asked the bartender Nicki if she could walk us through our lobster. She took her time to explain how to de-shell the lobster. They even had picture illustrations to show you how to eat a lobster. After dinner we decided to head back to the other side of the harbor, at that time it was pouring rain. I asked the other bartender (forgive me for forgetting his name) if he had a trash bag to use as a poncho or if Uber came to this location. Instead, he grabbed his keys and told us to follow him. He drove us to our car without hesitation. Turns out he was Nicki’s husband. Both of them were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back there again if ever in town.

My family toured New England over a couple weeks and we had not originally planned to go to Boothbay Harbor but I am so glad we did. The Boothbay Lobster Wharf was my favorite thing from our trip. Being from MD I know how to cook and eat blue crabs. In fact, I will only order crabs in MD. Going to Maine I was looking for a place to order lobster to get the experience of eating the food the state is known for.

I approached the window and explained why we were there and the lady explained how everything works and what they serve. Some in our party ordered prepared food which they loved, while 4 of us ordered lobsters! We picked them out and watched them go into the steamer. The gentleman who helped us explained how to pick them. The shell was harder than a blue crab but the reward was much greater with huge chunks of sweet meat!

I had read that the people in Boothbay Harbor were super friendly and welcome visitors as good friends or family so I approached a couple who was eating lobsters and asked for further guidance. They were super happy to help us which elevated our experience.

While our lobsters were cooking we watched lobstermen bring in their catch so we knew that this was going to be the freshest lobster we could get. I tried ordering lobster meat on salads and lobster rolls in various places up the coast, even in Bar Harbor and on Mt. Desert Island, and nothing compared to the lobster I ate in Boothbay Harbor. The quality, the freshness, the experience, and the price could not be beat anywhere else. I can't recommend this place enough to other tourists traveling through Maine. Make Boothbay Harbor a stop on your list if for no other reason than eating at the Boothbay Lobster Wharf.

Outstanding twin 🦞. Great meal. I've been coming here for 25+ years and it's always perfect. They really know how to cook lobster perfect. We will be back again.

Great food and harbor views. The large lobster roll was filed with enough fresh delicious lobster to feed a family of 4! Seriously. Such a fun place, informal, friendly. Great drinks, too.

Nice indoor and outdoor spot to get all your favorite lobster dishes fresh from the water. It is a bit informal as you order from a window and they call your name or number over a microphone. Worth stop in though.

Absolutely the best place to eat lobster on the bay, with quick service, reasonable prices, and plenty of seating in a fantastic atmosphere.

So if you are in mind for proper lobster dinner this is a great spot. The lobster is kept in its native sea water. Pumped through the tank all day long. The only fresher lobster you would have to catch yourself. The view is spectacular.

Best place for a double lobster meal. Absolutely delicious and everyone incredibly friendly. Don't miss
