The organizer can not be held responsible for nature or the conditions that nature brings. However, it is nice that a voucher for the not seen whales is offered.
What I don’t understand is the limitation to one season. For visitors from overseas, as well as like us, it is quite inconvenient when we are then forced to travel back to the United States of America the next year. While I would love to come back, it is obviously a cost factor.
From my point of view, it would be desirable if there was a limit of three years on the voucher. Unfortunately, this is not negotiable.
Despite everything, the staff is very accommodating.
What I would have liked, however, would be, since you have not seen any whales, the sighted dolphins to look more closely.

My husband and I took the 3 hour Kennebec River Cruise and it was wonderful in so many ways. We saw osprey, eagles, seals, several lighthouses and the Bath Iron Works ship building company. One of my favorites was the swing bridge.
The boat was wonderful and provided many seating options for all kind of needs. There are snacks and drinks one can purchase and the 3 hours went by so fast.
What made this trip so memorable was the narration from the captain. So informative and he made it entertaining.

My husband is disabled and he loved being outside up front feeling the wind. He had so much fun which made me happy. Thank you.

It was a Great Cruise. We toured the outer islands in Boothbay Harbor Maine. Enjoyed it immensely. Our captain was a great tour guide. We saw three lighthouses, three seals two ospreys. The weather was awesome. This particular boat had great seating on the top deck. I was sitting in the shade breeze was wonderful. Staff was very friendly will definitely do this one again.

Went out on this vessel today to see whales. It was an amazing experience.
We went approximately 12 miles out on what can only be said as a perfect day.
Sunshine, 75 degrees and calm seas.
The vessel was very clean. The staff were pleasant. The tour was worth every penny.
Capt. Steve took every step to make sure we got every angle to view the whales and also dolphins and seals.
I hope to return before summer is over and do this again.

My daughter is a full time resident of East Boothbay and I was visiting for her birthday. We decided to take the tour and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery. The Captain's narration was very informative. We were able to see harbor seals, two bald eagles, and porpoises. I now understand why my daughter decided to make the area her home.

We were a group of family and friends ages 4 to 80 - “Mainers” and visitors. We thoroughly enjoyed the two hour tour. Good value for the cost. We appreciated the on board narrative and the chance to see some of the lighthouses, residences, islands and creatures in the Boothbay Harbor area. It was a great experience! Thanks.

We enjoyed the 2:00 cruise very much. It was a treat to see the seal pups, lighthouses, and to learn more about the area. Our captain did a great job pointing out sites of interest and steering us close enough to get some memorable shots of the seals, a bald eagle, and the islands.

I zoomed into town running late, and sprinted up to the dock sure I was out of luck. But since I had bought my ticket a few hours earlier online, there was no problem, I had 15 min to spare!

I did the 90 minute harbor cruise, which had about 30 passengers on a warm fall day, sunny and 63 degrees. It was very relaxing and the boat never got going so fast as to get cold. We saw seals, a bald eagle, two lighthouses, and they pulled up a lobster pot to teach us about it!

Really enjoyed, would recommend for folks on a time crunch who still want to get some sea views.

Our Whale Watching trip was very last minute. We pulled into public parking & their little office was right there. The young lady was so knowledgeable & told us about the available tours & we were sold! We lined up for our tour & boarded our boat. The boat had a nice enclosed area with a grill & drinks. We set out on our 3 hour tour & crossed our fingers for whales. About an hour out - whales were spotted & the fun ensued. This was so incredibly awesome - we loved every minute & took a thousand pictures. It was so worth the cost.

We really enjoyed our puffin cruise, even with the weather not being the best! The crew were all very friendly and seeing all the puffins was amazing. The captain navigated the weather as best he could and provided a smooth ride despite. We also saw some seals and porpoises on our way out and back. Our 5 year old had a blast and loved going as well. Would definitely recommend!!

Went on Whale watch tour, just a wonderful 3 1/2 hrs. Easy booking, good directions and guidance on parking and boarding, crew is friendly, naturalist excited and engaged, vessel clean roomy, Captain truly enjoys his job and is involved. Took another tour 2 days before with a different company and this tour was significantly better. I'll also give Cap'n Fish's credit for the once in a life time display of tail slapping we were exposed to. Just a great tour!

This was my first cruise with Cap’n fish and we loved it. It was a beautiful day and the cruise was skillfully executed. The captain was a wealth of information on Boothbay so I came out wiser than when I went on. I will definitely be taking another cruise and I am happy to recommend the cruises to anyone.

Cap'n Fish's Cruises never disappoint. The Sunday evening reggae cruises have become a summer favorite and we highly recommend it for great music, a beautiful journey around the greater Boothbay region and friendly and hospitable service. You'll be glad you did it!!

Great trip! The captain is very informative. Got to see lighthouses, seals, birds and then they brought a lobster trap onboard with a demonstration. If you book the 4:30 cruise bring a jacket. Binoculars come in handy as well.

Our 3 hour Kennebec River cruise departed Boothbay Harbor on Friday, July 21st, on time and under mostly cloudy skies. While we did get some rain and very cold wind out on the water, it was still a very beautiful and informative tour. Our captain and narrator did a wonderful job describing our surroundings and pointing out the MANY sights that had been promised Although some fog hindered visibility a couple of times, he maneuvered as close as he safely could to the points of interest. I am giving 5 stars because everything was just perfect besides the weather, and that was no fault of Cap’n Fish’s or our crew. The boat itself was clean and comfortable, and thankfully WARM down on the inside bottom desk where we did go for a few minutes’ relief from the cold at one point. The beauty of the wildlife, the numerous lighthouses we saw, and many other sights outweighed the discomfort of the elements! I would recommend this cruise and am very glad we chose it

They offered a lot of information that you wouldn't get on another cruise. In addition to seeing multiple light houses, we saw bald eagles, porpoises, seals, turns. The boat was very comfortable with places inside and outside to sit. The inside is completely surrounded by windows so you don't miss a thing if you go inside to warm up, and there are speakers everywhere, so you never miss a moment of the tour. The inside has a nice bar and concession stand.
