Bucksport / Fort Knox KOA Holiday

This KOA made our stay in Maine the BEST!!! The Staff was so friendly and helpful. The Campground was wonderful, clean, and such a beautiful setting. Lots of shade and it was needed due to great 80*f temperatures we had.
We stayed in a Deluxe Cabin. It was so clean, had a bath w/ shower, fridge, TV, Ceiling Fan, and air conditioner!! Along w/ a Queen bed and two bunks!
I will definitely be back! This KOA Campground is 5 Stars!

Great CG with very friendly hosts. The sites and facilities are spotless. Close together. Bathrooms are older but very clean and well maintained. They had a great kids playground. Felt very safe there.

One of the best KOA’s I have been to. Beautiful campground, friendly hosts, incredibly well maintained. We stayed in the glamping tent and it was an awesome experience. Very nice, comfortable, and fun; the experience of tent camping with none of the challenges. Comfortable beds, private bathroom, refrigerator, propane grill, etc. The campground is in a great location relative to bar harbor and Acadia National park as well as other things to do in the area. I would highly recommend this KOA for anyone wanting to go camping in Maine. Thanks David and Marlene!!

Campgrounds were great. Clean well kept. Actually gave us a welcoming gift when we checked in which is unheard of. Gentleman that parked us extremely helpful. They should have a 10but only given 1-5 to choose from.

Camped there in May/June. I cannot say enough about Marlene and David, the people who run the campground. They go out of their way to make sure your camping experience is pleasant. Imagine my delight over the Little train they pull around the grounds for kids and even some adults to ride. This place is so well maintained as well as having such a wonderful couple as your hosts.i was there with David Coomer in a beautiful little lot in the back and the long patio with the perfectly even site was a joy.

Made a last minute (long) weekend reservation and loved our time here! Staff was so friendly, snack bar was great! We got some ice cream and pizza and a pretzel.. Everything was tasty! Would definitely stay here again if we're in the area. Thanks for a great stay!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience!!! We stayed in Cabin #1 and it has everything you could need inside, comparable to any hotel room. It has a small sitting area outside the front door as well as a huge fire pit/grill in addition to a large propane grill situated on another outdoor seating area with a table and chairs set. The clubhouse is fully stocked with anything you may have forgotten...and many things you didn't know you needed. The cabin was impeccably clean on our arrival and stocked with linens, kitchen supplies, grilling utensils and a Keurig and coffee pods. Everyone is friendly and always says hello as you are walking through the campground.

The welcoming group were wonderful. Owners and family very welcoming and they have a great store with quilting supplies.lots decent size with concrete pads. Location is great to visit Ft Knox MDI and Scodic point area.

(This is a Campground). The owners are wonderful, caring people that treat everyone with respect. This is a great facility for RVers in particular. We loved it in 2022, so we returned in 2023 and am happy we did return. I give it 10 thumbs up!

I hate to say how great this location is. Just as soon as I do every one will start going there and it won’t be my hidden gem any more. The owners were great. Restrooms and showers clean. Lots of hot water. Well kept grounds. Close to everything. Highly recommended.

Very nice KOA! The staff was wonderful and welcoming. I thought the sign welcoming our family was a thoughtful touch as well as the goodie bag. Stop by the snack shack for ice cream too! Clean, quite, safe… and close to all the areas we wanted to visit. Also good food, groceries and about anything else you need while traveling is a short drive. Thank you guys for caring about your guests so much!

We camped here September of 2020 (site 17a) for their Halloween weekend and we had an absolute blast. They had trick or treating and a dance party. The owners were extremely accommodating and friendly. My brother and his family visited us that day and got to enjoy the fun too. We’re booked to come back for Halloween weekend 2022 and can’t wait!!

I don’t leave reviews much but This place deserve it.
We have been camping for a little over 5 years and been on a month long road trips. Every time in KOAs. Not only the set up and landscape is perfect, EVERYONE that I, my wife or my kids have encountered, have been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! If all campgrounds would be run like that…

Everything about this campground is fabulous! We stayed in the new treehouse - absolutely delightful. Our kids loved it, and they are true twin beds, not narrow bunks like many KOA cabins. Staff is readily available, so welcoming. And don't miss the weekend donuts - YUM! Hope we can make it back someday!

Great family and seasonal camping. I used to go here years ago and loved it. The place has gotten some major updates since the last time I was there years ago and has all the modern feel and family fun you want to have! It's nearby to many different side excursions as well, whether to Fort Knox and the Narrows Bridge or take a trip to Acadia National Park for the day, you have options. Plus, lots of local eats and small shops near as well as a grocery store within minutes of the campground. Great family feel and wonderful hosts.

We got the deluxe cabin and it was SO NICE!!!! I felt like I was in a freaking hotel! Extremely clean 🧼 nice bed, roku on the TV. Beautiful decor inside. The bathroom was nice and big with shampoo & conditioner inside. There where dishes ready to be used! I am so happy with this cabin and the campground staff, the women we talked to that I think owns the campground couldn’t of been nicer. I would recommend 💯 & if we are ever in Maine again we will be staying here again!

We are here for our first time with a new to us camper. From the welcome at the office to the Easter egg hunt and train ride, this is a great place to stay with family and friends. The pool is nice and bath house clean. You can tell the owners run a place they are proud of. We will be back!

This is one of favorite KOAs. It is magical. Lots of events to include all campers. Rec area, pool, playground, laundry, the cleanest bathrooms I have ever been in at a campsite.. it has it all! Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds so far! The owners are amazing! They work so hard to make everyone's stay awesome. You should stay here in a cabin if you don't have an RV, I'm already planning to go back!

Every aspect was wonderful!!! Kudos to Marlene and her staff for assuring every guest has the best experience possible!! We intended to stay for only 2 nights and ended up spending a week! We'd still be there if family obligations hadn't interfered. Thanks everyone for your awesome hospitality!!
