Being local I have always heard rave reviews about this place. Today on a whim we were driving by and stopped in.
Amazing. Blaine and surrounding areas don't have anything like this (that I know of!) a small coffee shop. Many places to sit inside and even a few chairs outside.
What's better then being in a quiet coffee shop sipping really delicious drinks!
They had smoothies, iced and hot coffee and even sandwiches.
I got the pumpkin latte and it was the best coffee I've had. I don't like when a fall drink is too much pumpkin spice if you know what I mean. I'm BASIC (not really tho!)

Now the best part. They are the nicest people I've ever encountered. Very friendly and just so smiley and friendly. I would rather give $ to a small business then a large chain.
The prices were a less then chain places as well.

We got 2 medium hot drinks and a smoothie and it was $14

I am not a coffee drinker but a couple friends suggested meeting here. We just happened to be there while they were having an Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony. I have to say it it’s been a very long time since I have felt as welcomed at an eating establishment as did at this coffee shop. The ceremony was great and everything was very welcoming.

The owners were incredibly friendly and even though I am still not a fan of coffee I will continue to meet friends here.

Okay, first off- if you haven't visited Utopia you 100% should. All around great place- clean, friendly, knowledgeable service, and most importantly the coffee is probably the best I've ever had. If you're not sure what to order, just ask- they asked me all the right questions to figure out the perfect drink for me.. and if you're too shy or busy to do that just try the Coffee Miel. It's one of their more popular drinks and is a perfect blend of coffee flavor with the just the right amount of sweetness- anymore and it might be too sweet, any less and it might taste too strong. It's made with light hints of honey and cinnamon and I'm telling you- it's to die for. My new go-to hot coffee drink for sure. They're also welcoming for a place to sit and talk or get some work done. Don't go to Starbucks or Caribou, when you could come here. They're a small coffee shop and after talking with the owner I was moved by their work ethic. They were hit hard by the pandemic and subsequently all work regular jobs to keep this place going. It would mean a lot if you came here and spent a few dollars. Just look at the reviews- your money will go well spent.

A beautiful family-owned business. The owner is Ethiopian and has brought his amazing culture into this coffee shop. Coffee is great, service is great. No complaints!

This was our first time at this cafe. The owner is sweet and greeted us as soon as we walked in. The place is cozy with music playing. Good selection of pastries. We tried the apple braid, ham egg and cheese sandwich, and white mocha.

I plan to become a regular here ❤

The person working was very friendly...I was surprised at how yummy the raspberry iced latte was. Looks like an independent store-worth giving them your business! If I go back to the area-i will go again.

This place is so cute. Only one person running it, so have some patience with speed. It's worth the wait. They have a delightful Café miel. I'll be coming back sometime to try the lavender miel. The Danish was warmed and served with care. This may become my regular spot.

This place is a small coffee shop in Blaine and it is run by some absolutely lovely Ethiopian people. They really know their coffee well and everything I've had has been amazing! As well as offering a wide array of coffee beverages and specialty drinks, they also offer smoothies, pastries, and sandwiches. Everything here is very reasonably priced so it is a great place to sit down and eat. One thing that especially sets them apart from any other coffee place I have been to is that they have a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony complete with the traditional coffee pot, coffee cups and incense burning. I highly recommend bringing a few good coffee-loving friends with you to experience this ceremony so you can all appreciate the coffee and each other's company. Please support this small business so it stays for everyone to enjoy!

Quaint coffee shop with excellent bakery items and chai tea. Roasted beans for sale, seating for 5 or so groups, comfy atmosphere, and free parking.

It is a shame that the highest rating I am allowed to give this phenomenal cafe, is 5 stars. The Coffee is amazing, great dark roast. The sandwiches my SO and I had were stellar. I CANNOT recommend this Cafe enough. If you love fantastic cafés, definitely come and give this place a try.

I visited Utopia Cafe for the first time today and will definitely return. I had a hot mocha with almond milk, and the drink was well brewed and had a very smooth taste. I also overheard from another customer that their smoothie was delicious.

Additionally, this is a family-owned business, and the service was top-notch. The barista was very welcoming and attentive. One of the best coffee shops I have ever been to.

I loved this place so much. The coffee is great, authentic Ethiopian, and all the artifacts are beautiful. Great place do your meeting on your laptop and sitting in a corner and drink coffee. Best.

As someone who loves my coffee I decided to stop in a give this place a go. Walking in I was pleased with the cleanliness. The staff was welcoming and even offered assistance in helping me select my beverage. The quality of beans is truly amazing. However I didn't ask where they source there beans although it was posted they come from Ethiopia. I'm unsure if they are a single origin or not but based on the quality and taste I would assume they are. I choose my second most favorite drink a hot white mocha because a breve is not listed on the menu. The aroma is very warm and welcoming. It's the perfect balance and execution. The first sip was incredible and full of flavor. It's best described as bight fruited and floral flavors with complex flavor notes. These beans have a much different process than most of the coffees we buy these days and I think that's the key to it's success. The process is a lot more natural as they are either wet processed or washed. Unlike many other types of beans that have complex roasting process and manipulated flavor composition. The end result is you get a natural coffee bean with natural coffee flavor. 10 out of ten times I'd recommend you try this place out. I think you'll enjoy it the same way I did.

Really nice little cafe, with some interesting and tasty drink options! Very reasonably priced, and friendly service. I would highly recommend! Try the Miel if you’re looking for something new.

I've never been here before but I will definitely come back! Cozy interior great for catching up with friends and while we were there they had an Ethiopian coffee ceremony! I had no idea that it was going to happen and it was fascinating! My lavender miel was delicious and the cup of coffee from the ceremony was incredible. Lovely people and a great experience all around!

Fantastic mom & pop coffee shop! Loved the homemade chicken salad sandwich and lavender miel latte, crafted with care by the owner himself. We appreciated the Ethiopian art on the walls and the quiet seating!

I love this Cafe. The coffee and pastries were delicious! It is a cozy place if you want to make it a solo experience or with family and friends. Great authentic gifts you can purchase too. We also bought coffee beans there and they were able to grind for us! All in all it is a gem of a place! Highly recommend it!

Lovely experience. Extremely friendly staff, and prices are very reasonable especially compared to larger chains such as Starbucks and Caribou. Very important to support our small businesses in our community in tough times like now. Will be coming again and almost forgot the amazing feeling of being served by a small, family owned, business.

We love Utopia! Whether it’s a quick stop for coffee on the way elsewhere, or a destination for a lunch meeting, or a walk through the neighborhood for a smoothie, I’ve never had anything bad here! Coffee, miel, iced mocha, mango smoothie, breakfast sandwich, tuna sandwich… it’s all been superb.
