Sui Yep Cafe

They are such an adorable family run restaurant that always has amazing food!!! I live nearby and often walk over to get food and they are so welcoming! Im a big supporter of small businesses cause my family grew up with a small business so you can say i have an affinity maybe even a bias towards small mom n pop shops!

2023 updated review: the inside is still not open for seating but calling ahead is usually super fast. Tonight we had cream cheese puffs, shrimp fried rice, general Tso's chicken, and walnut shrimp. Consistency is seriously the best, I can always count on a good meal!

Original review: My go-to neighborhood chinese food spot! I will often get delivery because they tend to get quite busy and I don't really like to wait for pick up as the time estimates can be delayed. My top favorites are the Walnut shrimp, cream cheese wontons, and house fried rice. Other things are great too!

We enjoyed our meal. The egg fu young, wonton soup, chicken egg rolls, and seasame chicken were all so good.

I love this place. It's just like being at home. Need the dining room to reopen.

The egg rolls were crisp and fresh. We ordered plain chow mein for 4. It was piping hot and delicious. House made crunchy noodles were a fun surprise. Plan to pick up or carry out. Dine in is not an option. The online ordering system was user friendly.

Great food, great service, easy online ordering. When in town we always try to stop. Chicken chow mein with or without mushrooms is great!

Excellent food and reasonable prices! Tonight was our first time trying Sui Yep, so we got a bunch of different menu items. It was all great, and the amounts of (perfectly cooked) shrimp in the shrimp and pea pods and of (wonderfully tender!) duck in the seven treasure shredded duck were very generous.

Their setup for picking up takeout is very safe, which I appreciate a great deal. This is a definite do-again for Friday-night takeout!

Very great customer service and food was delicious and staff was very nice and friendly! I highly recommend this place!!!

Great customer service and the best Cantonese style sweet and sour chicken that I have had in a very long time. Hot and sour soup was good. Everything was hot and fresh. Daughter loved her orange chicken and almond cookies. We will be back again and again 💖

The food is always hot and yummy. I'm currently a bit obsessed with their Shrimp Pan Fried Noodles! Perfect for cold or rainy days. Prices and portion sizes are always good.

I would reccomend Sui Yep for a good East Side bite.

Went here with my dad for takeout recently, he remembered the egg fu young from the 80s and had a craving for it. I googled it and we went there and were not disappointed. The egg rolls I remember when I was a kid and they're still the same and delicious. Now that I know where it is, we'll definitely be going back 😋

I enjoyed my take out order of shrimp fried rice with a side of gravy from Sui Yep Cafe. This is my go to resturant when I want fried rice of any kind. I can get 3 servings out of one small side rice dish. Meaning it's also a great value for less the $6 bucks.

Sui Yep has a chill, colorful, yet low-key atmosphere which is perfect for a relaxing dinner. Their staff is very friendly and welcoming, and they consistently serve up some of the tastiest food around, including some very unique dishes not offered anywhere else. Their Salt and Pepper Tofu is amazing! I highly recommend that you stop in often at Sui Yep. Yum!

Very good! I love that there are so many items to order here, I never had a delivery place have so many options. I love the Hong sho fish, the eggplant in garlic sauce, and the hot and sour soup here. I will be ordering more often!

The family came in 10 minutes before closing time and we thought that they would turned us down to come another day but I was wrong. The lady that was working there just direct us to the table and hand us the menu. We ordered lots of food and they all tasted great! We stay way over the closing time and they did not force us to feel uncomfortable! One of the gem in the East Side of Saint Paul, MN. Will come again!

I had dinner here last night. I have so many fond memories of their delicious chowmein and egg foo young. There were 4 of us and we all heartily agreed, it was delicious! The wait staff was so friendly and accommodating. The menu has expanded quite a bit to include some of the "newer" Chinese items, such as General Tsao's Chicken, which one in our group had ordered and she was not disappointed. I'm going back on Monday and will be back several more times.

Love this place. Simple, quiet, and food is delicious. The people working there are very sweet! Love that they now recognise us and smile when we come in. Did I say the food is almost to cheap and delicious! Minimum 15 dollar order they also deliver. A favorite that use to go to in the 70s😁
