Swede Hollow Cafe

First time in, as I sit and eat this delicious food, I'm typing this. I had too! This Sandwich is the greatest breakfast sandwich I've ever tasted. The cold press is ultra smooth and tastes amazing. High quality stuff here.

Will be making this a part of my daily routine. Sorry bucks and bou.. 😅

Note* French toast is weekend only. However. The sandwich outweighs any negative feeling.

Small and cozy with tight seating inside. Still enjoyed our meals and coffee. I love, mochas, oatmeal and pastries, I was thoroughly pleased.

This is an AMAZING cafe!!! Right away we were greeted with a warm welcome. The service was phenomenal, and the food was even better. A little pricey, but TOTALLY worth it. The cinnamon roll was absolutely to die for. I would recommend this cafe a thousand times to everyone. Definitely a great hidden spot in St. Paul!!

I found this place through a Google search and it's turned out to be some of the best breakfast food and coffee I've had in the area! I came in after a run and everyone was extremely welcoming and patient while I looked through the menu. I ordered a Banana Nut Mocha (minus the chocolate because I'm not a fan) and it was AMAZING! The espresso was of superb quality and the syrup did not overwhelm the overall flavor. I also ordered a ham and veggie quiche and it was so fluffy and perfectly cooked. It had just the right amount of ingredients. Not overfilled so everything was falling apart but enough so that the combination of toppings still make a huge impact. The cinnamon roll was delicious! I had them warm it up so that the frosting would soak into the roll a little bit. My boyfriend got a dark roast and sausage quesadilla. He enjoyed it all, but I'll let him write his own review. The two of us and my dog sat outside and they brought all the food out to us. I love that the silverware is located outside on the porch for easy access. Will definitely be back!!!

Big old house converted into a homey cafe/coffee shop near Metro State University. They had a great cup of coffee and plenty options for more intricate drinks. I ordered the caramel french toast and like magic on your taste buds. I cannot wait to order it again! They also had MASSIVE fresh baked cinnamon rolls I need to stop back in for.

It has a wonderful outdoor patio! It will be so cute in the summer with all the flowers and the garden in full bloom. They are taking orders outside and bringing them out to you, which was perfect in the warm spring day. The coffee was good...we had a lavender latte and a cold brew with cinnamon and raspberry (super sweet). The pumpkins cake cookie was amazing!

Street parking was easy. Nice place to have lunch. Downstairs seating was pretty full- upstairs there were empty tables.

Awesome cafe, food was made to order and was fresh and very quick. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was fantastic. They take Covid-19 seriously and currently walk up orders are done outside, for that reason, I recommend ordering online. They do have menus placed outside if you did not order ahead.

This place is a great asset to Dayton’s Bluff and I highly recommend visiting this place if you have not had the opportunity.

My favorite cafe in town to meet a friend for a coffee outside. I love their patio in every season. The quiche & cinnamon roll are an absolute treat! Great atmosphere and awesome staff. Also a great spot to get a small table upstairs or by a window to work. (Pre-covid. Don’t know the set up right now. Only ordered takeout recently and patio seating in the summer & fall of 2020) highly recommend!

Amazing food, Amazing coffee, The cookie cake was stellar. The best part of it has to be the most beautiful outdoor dining area in the twin cities. It lives up to its name, with its little hollow in the garden shaded by a giant oak tree. Definitely will be coming here more often.

I have come by multiple times and have always had positive experiences. The lattes and coffee are delicious, they offer a wide range of other drinks that are not coffee based, and they have a diverse menu with many local and in-house items. As a vegan, they were very accommodating. Many of their salads and two sandwiches can be made vegan and they have three breads (one gluten free and one that is homemade) that are vegan. Note the chocolate stick that comes with the coffee is not vegan so remember to ask that they don’t include They also have a wonderful patio with a youth garden and very friendly staff. Highly recommended

I just stopped in for a latte with my daughter today but I can't wait to go back and have stay for food. The food all looked and smelled great. I was very impressed with the essence of the place...The inside was lovely but the unique dining vibe outside was calling my name plus I heard they also have seating UPSTAIRS!!
Although, the main reason I'm so excited to go back is because the entire place was simply enchanting! That is the only word I can think of, that even comes close, to describing the feeling I had today upon leaving Swede Hollow Cafe, with my lavender latte. Enchanted with an extra espresso shot for flavor.

Very nice community cafe. I had a delicious bacon and veggie quiche (nice flaky crust!), and a cappuccino. Cap was decent, and I'm sure their other drinks are better. (I have high standards for cappuccino foam, but this one wasn't too bad.)
I didn't have a chance to enjoy their outdoor patio since it's still cold and wet outside (it's March in Minnesota). The patio/garden looks very nice, so I'll be back again to enjoy it this summer.
Nice, friendly staff. Clean and tidy seating space. Lots of light on both floors, and it looks like great study space on the second level.

This coffee shop is in a house. You can find a sitting area in the half turn stairs. Pretty comfy place to relax and study.

Whoa! Blueberry & Lavender Lemonade! Game Changer!!! Love the new owners/operators and menu items, with all the old favorites of quiche, salad, and pastries. Great coffees, too. Thanks, Micah, for providing such great customer service!

Cute shop, local spot. The quiche was tasty - would have preferred a bit of pepper to it, but still quality. The espresso drinks on point. Will come back, there’s a turmeric latte that needs trying. The patio is cozy and has a gigantic shade tree with flowering trees.

A friend and I went to Swede Hollow for breakfast about a week ago. We both got this mind-blowingly delicious egg on toast with ricotta and pesto and ripe tomatoes. It was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. All I can say is: GO! I'm sure everything is incredible. Fresh ingredients, made to order, and so, so, so good. If it's nice out, sit outside at one of the tables in the beautiful garden.

A group of us gathered there today. We graduated from high school together a number of years ago, and we were all in the Twin Cities today. We had the most wonderful time. The food, coffee, and service were all fantastic. After we finished visiting, we took some photos outside. What a gorgeous place. I can't wait to go back. Thank you for taking such good care of our group.

This is one of the best coffee shops in the twin cities. Great a seat on the second floor for a great view of the city.
