A fun local pub with really good food at great prices. We stopped in since in downtown cuse and wanted somewhere for wings and drinks. So glad we did!!! ⭐! The menu is simple bar food made with quality ingredients and care from kitchen staff. The wings are top notch, plenty of meat, cooked just right and NOT overcooked or overly sauced. Kitchen is run with care, fryer used is absolutely maintained with care and oil is either changed or filtered and not allowed to get too hot, fried foods tasted of food NOT oil!!! Great job to kitchen staff!!!Great beer selection with friendly bar staff. Always nice to stop in local bar and to be treated like a local!!! We will be back

Came here after doing a bit of reading on Google reviews. I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences I've ever had at a bar. Upon arrival my dad and I sat at a table. When the bartender Cathy ( maybe Kathy) learned that it was our first time there we were compelled to sit at the bar. We met some awesome people at the bar that made us feel like we'd been going there for years. The people sitting next to me told me about what flavor of wings to get the Franken-fatal they were even so kind as to give me a sample from their plate. I've never felt so welcome in any establishment. The wings themselves were absolutely the best I've had, and I've eaten wings in just about every wing joint in Buffalo. Neither Duff's, The Anchor Bar, nor Gabriel's Gate can compare. The barkeep recommended we eat the fried mushrooms which are not breaded until the ticket comes in were easily the best fried mushrooms I've ever had. I will most assuredly return for more wings and a burger which I saw being delivered and looked absolutely amazing. I will definitely be returning, Shifty's has definitely become one of my favorites, and that's only after eating one meal there. I look forward to many more meals and many more friendly encounters.

The chicken is excellent. The atmosphere is a diverse, casual ,laid back funk. Local musicians tend to stop through and some nights they have open mic 🎤 . Come as you are all are welcomed type of place.

Went here after trying their Frankenstein wings at Battle of the wings, they still had that kick I from the competition. Cathy the bartender was very nice and welcoming, will be back for the wings and customer service.

A cultural landmark in Syracuse, NY. Best wings in town! Live music Mecca for the best local musicians. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy responsibly.

Great atmosphere, and staff, wings are really good especially the sauces made in house, great flavor! Live music was really good the night I went Sunday January 7.

Best wings in Syracuse. Meaty, cooked to perfection, with a fabulous hot sauce. I also used to get a chicken fried steak sandwich here years ago. Haven't tried it since but it was also top notch.

This place also has a really delicious burger.

Great neighborhood bar. Fabulous chickens wings and other bar foods. Beer is cold and the whiskey works. Long history of live bands. Place is packed on live band nights. Parking can be tight. Pool table and outdoor seating.

Great little watering hole with a diverse population of visitors. Chill place with great wings and lots of cold beer on tap. There is an outdoor sitting area. Check out the talented artist that stop by each week to play music.

Service and a certain bar keep called anna was hospitable beyond compare...true character and a down to earth atmosphere as well as the customers themselves...

Shifty's is a unique experience combination of urban and neighborhood folks. Great pool table. Great people and the food and drinks are great. Stop in have one. See for yourself. There's normally live music every night. Parking is difficult but just watch free parks. You don't get towed or ticking it. ED

Cozy neighborhood spot. Good selection of tap beers and drink specials. Only had the wings and they were awesome! Looking forward to catching some live music there soon.

Wings are over the top. I have no idea how the bartender handled ALL the customers in the room on a Sunday with all the games going but he did and did it really well. Kudos to you and the chefs.

Finally tried the famous Shifty wings. Went on a super slow Saturday (State Fair going on)Got a half dozen of garlic parm and a Hoffman with some NA Heinekens.
Wings were-super crispy and drenched in garlic butter and parm. The hotdog was somehow one of the best dogs I’ve ever had & The bartender was funny and engaging. Definitely coming back. Place lives up to the hype.

The chicken wings are one of the best around! The Frankenstein wings and their loaded fries/ tots are a must try! Always a great time and always a great crowd.

The wings here are literally the best wings in Syracuse. The flavors are insane. Definitely order the Frankenstein’s - spicy with salt and pepper. If you like the blue cheese affect, go with the Black n’ Blues. If you want some smoke flavor, order the Chipotle flavor. You cannot go wrong with any flavor. Go for the diverse crowd, the bands and music, the food and the amazing staff. Be nice to Brooke behind the bar and tip her well!
