Kitlas Restaurant

First time eating here tonight & it was truly the best fish fry I’ve ever had. The service was great. The place itself was super cute and homey. The pirogies were phenomenal! 10/10 recommend & we will be returning.

Some really great food, and really good customer service.

Customer service: Everyone is really friendly there. The staff were prompt and very easy to get along with.

Environment: It is really neat in there! They have old photos of what Utica used to look like. Adds a really nice touch to the place.

Food: Now onto the important stuff. We went with friends, but it was my wife's and my first time there, and we each tried a bite of everything that everyone ordered. To start, we got the onion strings. Our main dishes were the ribs, lemon horseradish haddock, potato crusted chicken parm, and the vodka chicken riggies.

Usually onion strings tend to be too oily, or too salty. These were not, they were great. They were crisp and had the right amount of seasoning.

The BBQ sauce on the ribs was probably the best BBQ sauce I've had. They make it in house, and I swear there's some apple flavor in there. Whatever it is, it's delicious. The meat falls right off the bones to on the ribs, they were so tender.

The haddock was delicious. I don't like horseradish, but I couldn't really taste it. It was cooked really well, and the crust on there was delicious.

The chicken parm is crusted in a potato crust. It's different, but it was really good! I really enjoyed the crust on the chicken, and the overall dude was great.

The chicken riggies had this vodka sauce on there that was really flavorful and tasty. I loved it. Comes with really good ratio of meat and veggies with the noodles.

Overall, the food there was really, really good and we enjoyed our time there a lot. If I didn't love it of state, we'd be going back again for sure!

Rita was the best waitress we've ever had, food was delicious, portions perfect, homemade peppercorn ranch dressing delightful. Awesome place!

Best Fish Fry I’ve ever had! Priced right and served promptly!

My boyfriend and I have been here 3 times in the past two months. We keep coming back because we always have such a great time here! The food is amazing and obviously made from scratch and to order. The service is top notch. Christina is always ready to accomodate us, personable and gives great recommendations. I feel that going out to dinner should be an event. I do not want to feel rushed or have everything loaded on my table instantaneously. We like to take our time and taste what we're eating. We never feel pushed out the door in order for them to turn over our table. Tuscan sirloin tips---absolutely wonderful. Also, try their lemon drop Martini! There's more than one reason Kitlas has been around for decades!

We went here for Mother's Day dinner with my children, grandchildren and Steve's mother. Not one complaint about any of our meals. Everything was amazing!!!! ALL of the staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. We all will definitely go back

The Kitlas is an area favorite, an institution in itself. A must stop on your restaurant tour. Simply stated, great food, friendly service, and leave room for dessert.

Very good steak. Waitress was attentive and pleasant, place was nicely decorated and clean. Would definitely eat here again, because you cant beat such quality for the price.

If you haven’t been to the Kitlas it is a must! They make the best pierogies. I had the potato pierogies with butter onions and bacon. Absolutely delicious! They have a wide variety of meal and beverage choices for the whole family! We are also planning a birthday dinner there in May for 30 people. The owner Tom is a great guy and made us feel right at home. Great atmosphere you will not be disappointed 😊 DeeDee Wilson

I usually get back to the Mohawk Valley two or three times a year, and I always come to Kitlas'. The food is always amazing! Everyone I bring agrees! And the staff... it feels like coming home! Thank you!!
