China Garden Restaurant

I’ve known the owners for many years. I taught their children in elementary school.
They were always very generous and kind, and when I did a unit on Japan, they offered menus, placemats, and chopsticks for the students to use. And I’m talking two hundred students not 20!

They give it to the community and the schools and are very hard-working. I know that during Covid things might have gotten quite crazy for everyone especially those in food service. I think sometimes customers are extremely rude and have a difficult time with anyone they come into contact with. And because they had a less than fabulous experience, they blame it on the restaurants or whatever business staff because they are not able to take responsibility for their own rudeness. It’s sad, but it’s becoming more and more familiar in our society. People blaming others for their own miss guided and difficult behavior, and impatience .

I am so happy the China Garden made it through Covid! So many restaurants didn’t. And if the dining room isn’t open yet, I hope it opens sometime soon. My son insists on going to China Garden at least once every time he comes into town. It’s homemade, it’s not a franchise where everything comes premade, prepackaged, and easy to prepare. All they have to do is microwave it! So, of course it’s going to come out faster!. I’d rather wait and have the fresh, chopped, vegetables and homemade recipes like they have at China Garden.

( and no, I’m not related in anyway, I just seen that some people have not been fair in their reviews. Maybe they’re thinking of a different restaurant I don’t know, give it a try and make your own decisions.!)😉

After moving to the area, many people had recommended China Garden to us. The price was a little higher than I wanted to pay, so we didn't get around to ordering until a couple weeks ago. My reaction? Well, the price is not cheap (not ridiculously expensive, just not cheap), but the flavor and quality of the food is excellent and well worth the cost. Chinese takeout can tend toward the same tired flavors, and things taste as if they've been sitting around too long, or re-heated too many times. Not so with our experience at China Garden. The flavor was great, and ingredients tasted fresh. I highly recommend them if you've got an itch for Chinese food.

But the main reason I rated them as high as possible is due to their customer service. We ordered delivery a couple weeks ago and somehow our order arrived without one of the meals (4 of us ordered). I called them up and explained what happened, and without question or debate, they apologized and promised to make a new meal and have it delivered as soon as their driver returned. Not more than 15 minutes later, the doorbell rang and I had my meal. For a business to recognize their error and just fix it, no questions asked, as quickly as China Garden did, earns my respect and continued support.

I have eaten here twice now, I absolutely love their food. It's some of the best Chinese food I've had. It tastes like real chicken! I've done delivery and pick up each time it was extremely easy and the employees were extremely courteous. I highly recommend eating here. And you can't beat the lunch prices with the amount of food that they give you it's amazing.

The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. We ordered a big custom order and everything came out perfect. The food was amazing! Best sesame tofu I've ever had. The food was made pretty fast too. This is 100% going to be my new regular chinese food stop.

Delicious every time! Carryout is always pretty quick & the food is Hot! Pineapple curry is my personal favorite. My family loves the steamed dumplings, chicken fried rice, & house lo mein.

Delicious!!! We ordered take out, crab rangoon, blueberry rangoon, veggie egg roll, pork egg roll, sweet and sour chicken, peppered steak, fried rice and white rice. We used to come here when we lived in Hustisford, moved away, moved back to Horicon and we absolutely are so glad we chose China Garden again! Great job you guys, we'll be back!!

This is one of my favorite restaurants! I have never been disappointed with the food. My favorite is the orange chicken with egg drop soup. It's cozy - a good place for a date or a group of friends to get some good food. The service is always friendly and I've never had to wait too long for my food. The servers are starting to recognize me...I think that's a good thing😂

Just stopped by for the first time for some Thai carryout and it did not disappoint! There just aren't enough Thai restaurants outside of the city. Thank you China Garden. Cant wait to try the Thai tea next time😋.

This was some of the most amazing food I have ever had. Will absolutely be back! Thank you for the paper plates so we could eat at a picnic table in the park. It was really nice out.

We ate a late lunch here yesterday and really enjoyed our food. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was delicious, crispy not greasy and covered with carrots, pineapple, onions and green peppers. My husband got the kung pao chicken and he loved it. Friendly waitress and fast service, haven’t been here for years but we are already looking forward to going back.

The food was absolutely delicious, we can't wait to order again! We've lived near Hartford for 33 years and I don't know why we never tried it!

Great food, great service. I had the Mongolian Beef, she had the sesame chicken. Both arrived with huge portions. Our waitress was terrific and very attentive. Will definitely return when we get the urge for Chinese food.

Wife and I love this place. We have never eaten inside - just take out or delivery but the food is always hot and perfect. Probably THE most consistent Chinese takeout we've ever found. Keep it up!

I really like this gem. The beef chop suey is my personal favorite. But I've tried a variety of others and they have been excellent. You can't go wrong and the dishes are not the same old that you get at many places.

I had the Chicken Musamun Curry. Was the flavor I was looking for. Spicy red curry with coconut milk smoothing it out. Highly recommend it prepared hot as opposed to medium or mild. Enough food for two if you order an extra side of rice.

Food was delicious, huge selection to choose from! Staff was very kind and even wrote a personalized thank you note on the receipt! Bathrooms and dining area was very clean too! Over all very much enjoyed my visit!

Awesome décor and food. First time there! You have to see and taste the experience. Grand Duke has three meats and sooo good! Also Text PANDA to 51660 to be entered to WIN a special Dinner for a group!
