Craig Cody, CPA is honest, intelligent, easy to understand and follow: in a word, he leads with integrity. For the most recent 7 years, Craig Cody and Company has been much more than an accounting firm to my organizations, he has been CFO Consultant, Accounts Receivable and Payable, 401K Administrator, HR, Financial Advisor; and overall, he is at all times a good and genuine individual. This is important as an all encompassing attribute because Craig is someone that represents me to banks, investors, government agencies, and vendors--it matters a great deal that he is not only a leader in his field, but also someone who is at all times trustworthy. My organizations are not simple or straightforward. I have several organizations, all of which are multinational, dealing in foreign currencies. Craig Cody & Company has brought financial management and order to my businesses. Above all, I now understand the financial details, nuance, requirements, and options available to me with which to lead my organizations and businesses.

Craig Cody has been handling my taxes for years now. He has always been a true profession and has now become more than an accountant to my family. I am proud to call him my friend!!!

I hired Craig Cody & Co off of a referral to do my 2021 taxes. Long story short, terrible communication, customer service, and they didn't perform on our agreed timeline costing me thousands. Full story below.

After my initial consultation, they said they'd send an engagement letter. It took a MONTH to get the engagement letter, prompted by my follow-up. Once I signed & returned the engagement letter, I received no further communication for over a week. After I followed up asking about the next steps, they then sent me instructions to start the process. I uploaded files, and received no communication until I followed up another week later. They said they were working on my file, and I heard no communication for 2 more weeks. When I sent yet another follow-up email, expressing my dissatisfaction with their communication, customer service, and that they failed to meet the deadline (which I needed for a loan approval, losing me thousands of dollars), I got a nasty, unprofessional call from the wife of the owner. She had the gall to say that it was MY fault that their firm didn't perform. However, she was not included in any communications thus far and was out of the loop. When I explained the above, she backpedaled but didn't really apologize or offer a discount. After, they assigned me an accountant who did a great job and finished a draft in one week, which I approved. I received no communications until another week later when I followed up (for the last time) asking if they filed my taxes & if they were accepted. At that point, they had been accepted but didn't bother to let me know.

This review was prompted by the firm following up for 2022, assuming I'd use them again after my experience above. I thought it would be better to instead decline and write a review of my experience, to warn any potential new client considering this firm. Stay away.
