Let's face it if you're reading this review to help you decide if you should try this place out and get one of these so-called Ponzarotta's.........what are you waiting for? Because once you've been here, you know you don't need to read a review to help you get motivated for a ponza. You will not be disappointed.......maybe stuffed a still have plenty fo money in your wallet. Can't beat the prices for how much food you get. But newbies beware or people that haven't gotten one in awhile.....make sure to order ahead!!

The place has gone through a remodel in recent years. I went in for my usual the classic cheese Ponza 2/2024. Honestly, this was the best I’ve had in recent years. It was a good size and filled to the brim with cheese. We usually get them every 2-3 months but it was so good we may have to pay them a visit sooner!

Love the fried Ponza Rottas aka fried calzones. Cheese bread was good too. Order ahead if you don't want a long wait. Will be back soon.

I've been eating Jimmy's Grotto food since I was a kid. We always get Ponza Rottas and fried green pepper rings. They're delicious! You won't regret trying them. Recently tried the fried ravioli, that was good too. I recommend everyone try this place if they can. Sometimes, they can be overwhelmingly busy. It's best to order online or over the phone for carryout. If you get the chance, eating in is an experience of its own.

Great place for pizza and still the best pizza in Waukesha since the 50s. Started out on the south side of main st to the north side of main st. Grotts has been part of Waukesha before I was born.

At first glance it's a true dive. Right when we walked in we were greeted and our orders taken. Food wait was 25 minutes. I got the deluxe ponza no olives. It was amazing to say the least and the man behind the counter was very courteous.

Drove from Milwaukee to have this Wisconsin staple the ponza rotta. In all the years I have been coming the prices have barely changed and the food and quality remains amazing. This is not a calzone and worth the drive and the wait for the golden puffed pizza crust filled with gooey cheese and an enormous amount of any filling you want. I would wait any amount of time to get this delicacy.

My first time eating there the other day my wife took me as an early bday and anniversary gift. I loved it their food was stuffed and filling. Also worth the prices they charge for their items too. I will eat there again for sure.

This place is one of the best hidden treasure hole in the wall restaurants in Waukesha. The Ponza is something every pizza lover that visits absolutely must try. I would highly recommend ordering ahead unless you have plenty of time to wait since this place can be very busy with takeout orders.

I am moving to the area and stopped for a calzone for my daughter because she says they are the best. It did not disappoint my daughter loved it. It was busy but we were still in and out pretty fast.

I normally order ponza’s from this place but I decided to be a little adventurous and try something new. I have to say, this is the best burger I have ever had! It was very well made. The friend raviolis are dangerously delicious, wow!

My friend and I were in Waukesha one day and we both thought of Jimmy’s grotto at the same time and we laughed about it! so we went and ordered 2 ponza rottas and we were like giddy little kids waiting in anticipation! When the food was ready we were so excited and there was practically just silence at the table except for the mmm mmm mmm sounds we both kept making! Great place!

I wished I lived closer. The food was well worth the 1.5 hour drive! The locals will willingly help you with questions and even tell you stories about the restaurants original owners and their family. This place makes me miss small town friendliness.

Order is always hot and fresh. Had the best ponza ever, tonight. Perfect amount of cheese, meat and sauce. My son loves the hot dogs. Sometimes there’s a long wait time, but well worth it.

Been going to Jimmy's Grotto ( at least one of the locations) for over 30 years. Ponzas are always spot on, orders are always perfect and will continue to go. Tops three "have to try restaurants" in Waukesha

A Waukesha institution. Call ahead to order because they are frequently very busy. Leave your credit card at home because you're using cash. Order a Ponza Rotta because deep frying a calzone is brilliant. They have great Italian sausage, pizza, and anything that can be deep fried. But after having a Ponza Rotta, you'll wonder why anything else is even on the menu. Wash it down with a High Life. If you take medications to keep your cholesterol in check, you may want to consider taking a larger dose. Nobody will pretend that this is the place for healthy food.

Oh k, the atmosphere may not be the best, but the quality of the pizza makes up for it. I truly love pizza. Have been too many in Southeast Wisconsin. This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. You Will not be disappointed plus they're open late
