Got product quickly. Owner took time to answer all my questions. Has performed very well with only slight voltage drop at peak amps. Currently comparing performance against other top lipo speed run batteries. Still figuring out what configuration these batteries like to perform at their best. Will be a steady buyer of the O.P.S. Lipo batteries.

This place was absolutely amazing, they have a great selection of RC cars and all the parts you may need. Bob is very friendly and extremely helpful.

Had a hard time finding the wheels I wanted, thankfully I found them at Shadow Hobbies and they arrived quickly. Great customer service!! Would definitely refer to friends!!

One of the most complete hobby store for the discriminating remote control enthusiast in North Jersey. Bob the owner gives top notch customer service to anyone that enters the door. Under the new normal wearing face mask is encourage. He has 2 assistants who are helping him during busy times. The are more selections of Horizon Hobby branded aircrafts, helicopters, Traxxas cars, trucks, air soft, static display remote controls and huge array of spare parts, kits, tires, batteries, land, aircraft transmitter. Shadow hobbies has it. There's indoor slot car racing on weekends with computerized scoring among those deep into this hobby.
One could spend the whole day in the store just ogling in the main floor and basement to marvel on what's available for all tiypes of customers young, middle age and seniors with different interests. Shadow hobby prices are competitive with online retailers particularly on RTR, kits etc. If simple repairs are needed on any RC Bob won't hesitate to work on it as long as there are no lines waiting. Weekdays mid morning or late afternoons are the best times to visit the store as well as anytime during weekends during store hours. Customers should try to call the store due to changes in store hours.
After visiting Shadow Hobbies, one would have second thoughts of ordering on line elsewhere. There's nothing like actually seeing what the hobbyist need. However, it has it's own website shadowhobbies.com to check inventory or to order ahead for pickup.
Would recommend this store to anyone who want their stuff immediately like... right now. There's a huge parking lot across the store or in front by the street.

No other hobby shop would ever take the time like Bob does to make sure his customers are satisfied. I even needed to bring my boat back for a repair and Bob was nice enough to help me so I can get my boat back on the water. Dont look any further, Shadow Hobbies is by far the best shop you will ever go to. I will be back soon. I accidentally ordered the wrong body for a RC car. I asked if he could cancel the order and refund my paypal payment. He took care of it as he hadn't shipped it yet. A+. I will definitely order from him in the furture!

Bob keeps his store fully stocked with all your needs. He has everything you are looking for. From speedboats to fighter jets and
any kind of truck or race car. He's very knowledgeable and I would
take a ride to his store. You won't be disappointed.

Great place with lots of readily available inventory. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner. Bought a new RC truck and being new to the hobby asked for few recommendations on accessories to which owner was very helpful.

In the age of Amazon and big corporate retail chains, I prefer to buy from local stores for the purpose of experience and supporting local business. This stores provides exactly that.

Also owner manages the store alone so be patient and wait for your turn. My wife and I had to wait for few minutes but we could see he was so busy running around the store alone. I enjoyed his conversations with other customers as I was learning from his knowledge. If you are looking for a Target / best buy experience then this might not be the right place.

Too bad I couldn't get his name but will visit again regularly.

Tip : Carry debit card to the store

Awesome, knowledgeable staff. The walls are filled with everything you need. Staff consults you, just keep in mind how much traffic is needing assistance also...

This is by far the best hobby shop I've ever been too tons of part's and the owner ROCKS!!!! Got me some old school Kyosho part's nobody had a clue about getting for me #1 in my book.... Thanks again for the over the top service...

Bob was extremely helpful and generous with my 8 year old son. He realized he was a beginner on the slot car race track and took the time to help him through the experience. Excellent selection and knowledge to help you out whether a beginner or have years into which ever hobby you’re there for. Respect and courtesy are returned when deal with employees/management. Always have a large selection and 9 outta 10 times find something there I wasn’t even aware I need till I was browsing. It’s my go to shop even though there are other store closer and more convenient for me. Highly recommend you send your patronage their way.

Still one of the best hobby shops in NJ after all these years. I use to visit his old shop in Paterson years ago and after recently getting back into the RC cars/trucks, I decided to visit his Woodland Park shop. Amazing place with a large inventory. Support our local hobby shops especially places like Shadow since he carries EVERYTHING. Highly recommend the drive to anyone. Just be patient as it gets busy but I promise you won’t regret it.
