Gary's Auto Repair

I went to Gary's for years (at least a decade) since I worked just down the street and could easily drop off my car and pick it up when they were finished, but their service is worth way more than the convenience. Their prices are competitive and their service is always top-notch. If there was ever an issue, they would figure it out and contact me with estimates asap.

My brother is a master mechanic but lives hours away, after dealing with Gary's for so long I never felt the need to call him for opinions anymore because I know I was being taken care of!

We have been going to Gary’s Auto in Delafield for several years and have always been pleased with their courteous staff, customer service and auto repairs. Our most recent visit was for a muffler issue on my granddaughter’s SUV. As usual, Max was very helpful and answered all of my questions over the phone and graciously offered to look at the muffler later in the afternoon. Unfortunately, they were not able to repair our muffler, but they did provide a temporary fix on the spot, so that we could drive the vehicle to a muffler shop for repair. Max took the time to explain their findings and make further recommendations.

We've been going to Gary's for years they are the only place we take our imports. They provide excellent service and are super reasonably priced compared to a dealership.

My car broke down and I was able to limp it along to get to Gary's. The staff was extremely helpful with a quick diagnostic check free of charge - it was the water pump😒; knowing that I probably would not get it fixed there (as I live over an hour away). They also called around to find a tow truck to get me to a repair shop closer to home. I appreciate how courteous they were to me through this whole ordeal!

I was very satisfied with my recent A/C work at Gary’s. I made an appointment and was expecting my vehicle to be gone all day. Max, the service advisor, was very professional and informative and, within a few hours, called back saying my vehicle was finished. All pricing came in it about what I was expecting to pay.

Over the years I've had good and bad experiences with my cars. But coming to Gary's has been the best! For once I can trust that I'm in good hands. They are very honest, thorough in their assessments and I've never felt pressured. Their intent has always been in my best interests.
Max, Eric and staff have all gone out of their way to accommodate me.
Their professionalism and courtesy make me feel like family and what they offer reflects in the numerous and varied clientele.
So suffice it to say they will be my 'go to' from now on!

The staff and quality of work has been fantastic at Gary's. Working with Max & Erick has been seamless and easy. We all know its not always fun to get your vehicle serviced and get hit with an unexpected repair. They do a great job of letting you know what needs to be done now and what can be done down the road. They also offer way down the road items which allows you to budget for those repairs. I'm new to the area and I'm glad I've found a lifetime shop to take my two vehicles. I've been going here since the beginning of this year.

Great communication, honesty, integrity, at a fair price. I asked for oil change and tire rotation with balancing. They said tires were wearing evenly and didn't need rotation at this time and noted this in there computer system for next time...OTHER shops would have gladly charged me for a requested but unnecessary service! Gary's is my Go To for service.

I'm very picky with who I trust to work on my vehicle. As a Land Rover owner I only trust mechanics who know their way around these vehicles to touch them. Unfortunately my normal mechanic was out of town and I was due for an oil change and tire rotation. So, by recommendation from someone on a Land Rover owners group forum I'm a member of I trusted Gary's auto to perform the service I needed.

Max was professional and accommodating. They performed the services requested and my truck has been fine since the service with no complaints. Even had some time to grab a beer locally while they worked on my truck.

I am usually very leery of anyone aside from my normal mechanic but Gary's Auto seems to know their way around foreign vehicles like Land Rovers BMWs etc. And I will be recommending them in the future

I was very happy with my experience at Gary's Auto and will be returning for future service. Their staff is helpful and courteous, and they provided me with an honest assessment on my vehicle. They explained my service options in far greater detail than I've experienced before at other large-chain shops. Moreover, there was no pressure to purchase anything. So, my wife and I drove from Philadelphia to Wisconsin on holiday, and to spend some time with family. While we were traveling there I picked up a small hole in my left front tire. I was burning about 5 psi a day. When I took what I thought would be no more than an hour job to one of the franchise tire shops, they wanted my truck for the day, no matter what day I brought it in. I declined.

Enter Gary's. My cousin lives in Delafield and recommended I stop in. Well, it was the best decision I made. The staff were nothing less than amazing. The service was outstanding, and I had a repaired tire in the amount of time it took my wife and I to have breakfast. They understood that I was on holiday and that the truck was a need. So, they found a spot on the schedule that worked for both of us, and it was done. They even went so far as to have a quick look to see that everything was ok. To top it if off, I was expecting to see a high two digit or low three digit bill. What I got was a very reasonable bill for services I thought went above and beyond.

No doubt I would recommend these guys to anyone in the area, or anyone traveling through that needs automotive care. If I could rate these guys higher I would. My name is Jim Mayhew, and I highly recommend Gary's Auto Repair.

We are in a business where we frequently give referrals to customers who need work done on their cars. Everyone we have sent to Gary's has been pleased and impressed.

Garys Auto is the best. They are so reasonably priced. I never feel like they are trying to sell me something I don't need. I feel blessed to have found such a reliable Auto repair service.

Brought my car in because my clutch broke. Took about a week and half to get my car in, they had a lot of cars in their lot. But when they got it in, they ordered a part and fixed my car in a day and a half. Very quick work and nice people. Gave me some other helpful info on other problems that might arise in the future.

Highly recommend! My car broke down on the highway and I got it towed to Gary’s. Within an hour I was back on the road. The staff was super friendly and explained what happened and how they fixed it, along with doing a safety inspection.

I have written a short review before, but recently I have had contact with an angry reviewer of Gary's service. I can't (& don't) believe what the reviewer said about the service.

My experience has been very positive, and I have known Gary since the very beginning of what I call an excellent career in finding problems, diagnosing them, and expeditiously fixing them.

We are very lucky to have such a fine auto service right in our neighborhood. I have a 2003 Honda and my wife has a 2000 Honda; we have had excellent care from Gary always. I would recommend him to everyone.

My daughter and I were blown away by the customer service we received from Max at Gary's Auto repair. Took our car in because of transmission trouble and Max researched and found out our transmission was a recall, he phoned Boucher and got us an appointment and saved us $1800.00!! Now that is really caring and servicing your customer. We will always go to Gary's for auto service because of Max and his integrity!

I was driving back to Pennsylvania from visiting relatives in Minnesota. Stopped to get gas in Hartland, and see if a local Ford dealer could assess the rumble/popping noise that just started in rear of my 2015 Escape. No dealers offered a walk in. I googled "garages near me", and went to Gary's. Initially, I was anxious, with the garage surrounded by high end vehicles.

They took my car right in, suggested a few local places where I could wait for about an hour, and told me the results. Their risk assessment of continued driving was made clear. The employees were friendly and professional, the rates reasonable, and the town scenic.

I really appreciated their help, and the locals are sure lucky to have these folks. Thanks for helping out a nurse from out of town

I was traveling between Milwaukee and Madison with my 4 kids when strange warning lights suddenly went on in my Toyota Sienna. I pulled off the freeway and searched for auto repair near me, which led me to Gary’s. They were phenomenal! They immediately went out to check my car, explained what the lights were and that it was ok to continue driving, didn’t charge a dime, and provided great conversation while we waited. The welcoming atmosphere was wonderful during a worrisome time for my family. Thank you, Gary’s Auto! Highly recommend!
